Hey there dude, =D. Glad to see your topic is back, ^^.

Anyways, I'll have to check out the new Demo Tomorrow, but I did here the Sonic 3 Credits, and I must say that it is at an epic level of win 8D! You just did an impressive job with it, and makes me want to hear more Sonic covers in the future, =3.

I'll love to comment more, but it's midnight, and I'm just starting my homework, XD.

Thanks a lot man on the comments of the Sonic Cover. I have to say, I really really like how it turned out I'll probably end up re-recording the lead and perhaps extending it a bit more when I have the time. It isn't EXACT to the old tune, but that is what makes it a cover =).

I'll probably start touching up on some of my older demos (The Only One) and I still have to do a re-do of The Ska Song, which is not in this topic. I'll be sure to make that one special.

The only COMPLETED tracks I have as of yet are Alone, and War. Those ones are for sure as done as they'll get.

Then I'll finish up The New Demo (give it lyrics and whatnot) and then re-work test Song B. I'll turn Instrumental 1 into a track, and I'll probably scrap Attack, or rework most of it to something new. The rest I've still got lots of work to do =)

Thanks!

=D your music is awesome, and I love that you're experimenting with other styles. BUT LIKE I SAID you can consider Lost in the Dusk as part of yer tune-age too! That was a honest-to-goodness collab between us. ^^

I still demand a master of yours D:

Worry

New demo! This is just a first pass at this one as well (so there ARE mistakes), but I'm quite happy with how it still came out despite that! Yusuke is probably going to add a solo or something to this, though if he can't fit anything onto this one I'll make another track.

I'm still writing the lyrics, so the name might change, and the vocals will come as soon as I have time to record all the vocals I can for most of the tracks.

Enjoy, it is different sorta than some of my stuff in terms of the pacing of the song.

I love listening to new and brand new music since I'm a musician myself. This music is not the usual heavy and hard I listen to, but I dig it. I'm pretty much open-minded to just about all genres and styles. I like how your music is experimental sounding. Experimental music, for the win! :) I really like your vocals and guitars since I'm naturally a vocalist/guitarist. The vocals kind of remind me of Dexter Holland from The Offspring and the vocalist from The Dead Milkmen. I dunno if you were aiming to sound like them, my guess is no. Anyhow, the vocals are pretty good.

The synths thrown in sound pretty good in the mix. The Only One is pretty cool, it sounded like something by White Zombie (to be specific, it reminded me of the song Blur the Technicolor by 'em) at first. This is by far my favorite song out of all of 'em. You really really put the synths to good use in this song.

Keep it up, man! Your music really rocks. :D

Oh wow, thank you very much! That actually means a lot ^_^! I can't say that I had Dexter Holland or the Dead Milkmen guy in mind when I made my stuff , but I can kind of hear similarities here and there now that you mention it =). My major influences are from the punk genre anyway (major one being Billy Talent, in particular their guitarist and lead vocalist, another one being an electropunk band called Uncle Outrage) Thanks a lot though! It means a lot to hear that my vocals are pretty good, I'm really critical on myself over how they sound.

I just looked up that White Zombie song (not familiar with them) and haha the openings DO sound similar! ROFL. I'm currently remastering the guitar for The Only One, and then I'll be redoing the vocals. Thanks a lot for the comments on that too!

Right now my few recent tracks have had less of the experimental stuff thrown in, but I plan to add that stuff in after I've solidified my lyrics and got my vocals in first so I can spruce it up with a few extra things.

Really though, thanks a lot for the kind comments, I really really appreciate them ^_^!

---

Here is a new rough demo too of a heavier song I had written lyrics for yesterday, and the riff earlier today. This is rough, and that solo in there isn't the final solo I just threw it in there randomly so I knew that there was a point for that part. I'm going to re-record the guitars and such. Hopefully I can get vocals in on Wednesday =)

Bah, I know my profile says I wouldn't be releasing any new tracks as to not ruin the surprise for when I release my EP, but I had to do this anyway.

I said I was going to re-do the Ska Song, and I made it a zillion times better.

Temporary (The Ska Song)

There it is, under its new name, Temporary! Hope you guys enjoy it! I'll probably touch up vocals sometime too. If anyone wants to still hear the original version, I can always upload it for comparison. But I can assure you this version is way better.

Enjoy yo?

Edit: Oh yeah, rough recordings of Regrets: Regrets

Old Swing Life Away cover from 2006...

This is a cover I did of a Rise Against song back in 2006, one of the best years of my life. This was dedicated to all my friends at the time, and I remember learning how to play this until my fingers got purple because my acoustic guitar sucks and the strings are hard to push down on. I'm still not used to the damn thing.

But this is a song I hold emotionally dear to me, I thought the lyrics reminded me so much of the people I cared about and I gave it my all at the time. This is probably my favourite piece of music that I've ever made. Yes its old, I was sixteen when I made it, but I love it all the same. Just getting this back in my possession again after three years has gotten me really nostalgic and I honestly can say I feel like crying right now over the memories this thing brings back. I just wish things could be as simple as they were then. I know it sounds corny, but whatever...I'm allowed to have those moments too.

That is why on Monday hopefully I'm going to be dropping every plan I had for White Sparrows stuff to redo this.

And all of a sudden people just disappeared xD! Haha, I'm jokering.

Anyway, I've decided to axe a lot of the other material I posted above from my little demo CD thing. I'm aiming right now to make this EP only 4-5 songs long now, and here is the tracklist SO FAR:

1)New Song (see below)
2)Silent City
3)Temporary

That is all I've got so far. I'll be redoing Silent City's vocals when I have the chance, after maybe tightening up this new track a bit.

But I hope you all can see why I did this, because a lot of the other stuff wouldn't fit on this album, and quite frankly a lot of it sucks balls when I go back to listen to it. I'll release all the stuff I have cut from this demo CD in a seperate download called 'The Sh*t That Didn't Make The Cut'. For lack of a better title anyway.

So enjoy my first roughed out demo of this new song, which the filename says Bones but that name is probably not going to stay xD.

Opener Track thing

After this demo CD I might work on a couple synth-rock songs in the style of Orgy or Julien-K, or something like that anyway just for a bit of fun.

As for an update on the EP that is in the works...it is almost done. The reason for this is that if you read the blog I want to try and infuse the electronic elements into my work, and the three tracks that I have outlined there (other than the re-recording of Silent City hopefully...) are all songs without synth in them. This EP just needs vocal re-recordings and a guitar re-recording for 'Bones' which is now with a finalized name "Those Bullets Were Meant For Me".

The song is actually a song about trust, rather than a politically charged song about guns. In fact, it seems that this six EP here is more on a personal level for all songs but War. Silent City is about being lead on that your dreams will come true, only to have them destroyed. Temporary was about a conflict I had a year ago, but now it is more or less about things that have been going on as of late. I find for me, it is a song I can really relate to. Those Bullets Were Meant For Me is a song about having someone you thought was a friend, end up taking your secrets and your naive side and then shooting you in the back later on. Alone was the song that was almost intended to have the same meaning as Temporary...

So yes. Big update. 'Temporary' EP is getting closer!

=Final Track Listing for the 'Temporary' EP:=

1)Alone
2)War
3)Regrets
4)Silent City
5)Those Bullets Were Meant For Me
6)Temporary

=

Stay tuned!

Edit: My computer died. So Uhh. EP is not going to happen for a while =/.

Congraturations COMPUTER! Oh well. I'm writing new material, its going to kick ASS.

I can't let my awesome wing man slip to the second page!

Well, sorry I haven't been posting here as much as I should d00d, =O. I gotta say, that opener track is AMAZING, =O! It's full of such energy and excitement that it makes me a little jealous I don't have anything like that, XD. It really reminds me of the awesomeness of the song "Can't Stop, So What?" from Sonic Adventure 2. You know, that part in Metal Harbor where you are metal-boarding down that shoot? It also reminds me of the 2-player BGM from the same game for the City Escape level, =D.

Awesome all around dude, keep winning, 8D.

Thanks dude! This song, if anything, has a style similar to Zebrahead's stuff more than anything. I figured I wanted to make a real upbeat song and thats what I did, even though the message itself is about being stabbed in the back etc.

I wish I could work more on it, but no computer to work with =(. All my lyrics and whatnot were all on that computer too.

Thanks a lot for the comments though ^_^!

So I hijacked someone's laptop in the house and took one of the tracks from the Billy Talent III : Guitar Villain edition (which means all the guitar tracks are removed...)

And did this

The solo is mastered horribly, and played even worse. I can play it smoothly, I just fudged up and didn't feel like going back to fix.

A couple other mistakes here and there, I know I don't play the song 100% either. I've got to learn the correct way sometime. Most of it I figured out on my own, except for the intro and the solo. Yusuke actually figured out the little intro riff haha. The solo I found a tab for.

I'll probably do one for Rusted From The Rain (learned this one entirely by ear except for the second part of the solo) and Saint Veronika (all by tab for this one xD) sometime. I love playing St. Veronika =D!

Anyway. The reason I needed to do something music related was because there is a lot of bullcrap I'm going through right now, and I needed to do something I could enjoy for a bit.

With the hiccups aside (hell, even with the hiccups), it's still fucking awesome, =D. That's cool that Billy Talent has that edition with the guitar cut, =O. Imma need me to order there new CD when I get to work today, 8D.

I've also been meaning to talk to ya on MSN soon since I saw Billy Talent live in Seattle with Rancid and Rise Against on July 6th, ^_^. They played Devil on My Shoulder too, =3.

Devil On My Shoulder (v2)

Re-recorded. My computer decided after a power outage it'd work again...I have no clue why. It must have surged and brought it back to life..somehow. Anyway, this is the best of the songs I've done so far off the BT3 GV edition, since the other two I just finished up in the span of a couple hours and it is fecking late so I started to get sloppier heh. So the next two have lotsa mistakes.

Saint Veronika

I noticed that this one opens (guitar wise ) the same as DoMs =P. One side starts before the other kind of deal. Lots of mistakes in the awesome bridge, which normally I can play pretty good. I messed up in the choruses here and there too. If parts sound out of tune in any of these songs too btw, it is because I just changed my guitar strings and I was playing these to get the strings to get used to the tuning faster. I kind of like the sound of these lighter strings actually. I am still bummed out over that bridge...I can normally play it real good, I'm just tired xD. I mean, I guess it isn't terrible...but still =P. I still don't know the part after the bridge though where the guitar gets all clean and whatnot. Gotta find a good tab for it =P

Rusted From The Rain

Worst one lol! I can normally play this much better too xD. I don't know if I'll redo it, but this was the last one I did so yeah...sloppiest playing on it. I just stopped caring. I kind of like the beefed up sound that I gave to it during the intros and chorus. 4 guitar layers on those. I really love this song though haha. I also messed up real good on the second part of the solo too! I am not too good at the second part of the solo yet, but I'll get it soon. If I can play the DoMS solo I can play this one.

Enjoy I guess...while my computer is still running I'll try and pump out some of the new tracks I've been working on. Now that I can finally record them properly and all.

Also, thanks Blur! Billy Talent is a freakin' amazing band live. They bring such great energy to each of their shows, and Ben loves to slip some extra screaming into every single song it seems haha. When I saw them in 07 with Rise Against and Anti-Flag, I thought they were the best band of the night. Of course they also were the headliner :P! I hope they come back here on a date I can make it to.

WIP New Song

Okay, this is hopefully the last time I'll be starting this over. While my comp was in DEAD MODE, I was working on riffs.

Anyway, enjoy.

Another WIP new song

A slower song this time. I'm quite proud with how this one turned out. Obviously my Billy Talent influences once again come through here =). This is a very rough demo from yesterday, just so I can remember it (as it came to me in a sudden inspiration). Hence why the mastering isn't as tight and the guitar isn't perfect.
