So it takes 12 bat hits, or 3 crit bat hits to kill a heavy.

Scattergun at point blank is as strong as crit bat hit... batting doesn't seem so wise. :o

I dunno, adding insult to injury is always a plus in my book.

If a scout manages to kill a heavy, that's insulting enough, imo, haha.

Two days of playing and no fucking drops whatsoever. Not even a pee jar :/

At least I've discovered how fucking awesome is the Axtinguisher. Put it on yesterday for the lulz and I can't believe I didn't bother with it earlier. Complements the Dragon real well.

I keep getting unlocks I never bothered much to get. I walked about 2 feet in my first match and managed to find Natasha and the KGB as a Heavy, and later I found the Dead Ringer after a few rounds. The Dead Ringer is probably my most favorite unlock ever. It's just so much fun to pretend to die, waltz over to the dude who "killed" you, and back stab like no tomorrow.

Also, being able to use enemy teleporters is awesome. My play of the day was using a tele that sent red out of their intel room and out into the main courtyard. After making short work of a medic, I nabbed the intel, dropped it, used the teleporter to send me back up, and back stabbed 4 blokes running down to defend.

I managed to pick up the Axtinguisher and a few Flare guns too.

Also, on the subject, why didn't we get a new knife for the Spy? I mean, it's his biggest and most important weapon. They could give him a swiss army knife or something...

They should try to fix the backstab detection first before they play with the knife's capabilities.

Valve have been tweeking the knife's hit detection since release, and facestabs still happen on a regular occurance.

It just seems to be one of those things.

I must admit I am REALLY not liking the whole "random item" distribution thing - do they intend to keep that permanently or is it just on a trial basis at the moment? Because I suck so bad at all the classes I have only gotten one thing since I started playing. XD

They're going to try it with a trade feature (So you an swap items) and then I guess it will just be a case of what do people think of it then.

I suppose THAT is a little bit better than just random dropping of weapons. I guess I am not a good adapter to change. XD

They also said they're trying to find a way for players to do things that make it more likely to get preferred items. If you ask me, the best way to go about that is to have players play as other classes than the one they want items for. That way, there isn't a heavy focus on a single class when the updates come 'round and the player won't already be OD'd on said class by the time he or she gets all the items. It's win-win!

I think the idea of random drops is good, as it has removed the tie between achievements and unlocks.

However, I think the execution has been nothing short of retarded. I've got so many duplicates it's not even funny. I've 2 razorbacks and I rarely play Sniper. I don't think I've ever wanted a jar filled with piss as much as I do right now... )=

Quote of the day right here.

But yeah, I'd certainly like to get my hands on that Jarate. By the way, the dead ringer is quite possibly the most awesome unlock to date. I mean, it's like ten times more fun to use than the normal watch.

You could give the Spy a knife that holds onto the enemy bodies and uses them as a shield to escape rough situations. You uncloak behind a Sniper just as a Medic comes 'round? Backstab the Sniper, turn around, block the stringe fire from the Medic, run away, drop the body and re-cloak to live another day.

I personally think a simple throwing knife would've been a lot more subtle.

Finally got my Jarate this morning, after nearly 2 whole days without any unlocks whatsoe'er. =(

This is possibly the most entertaining weapon ever conceived.

The milestones are back. It's quite nice to have those back (As I now have enough Bonkaid and Sandviches to fuel a rather large picnic) whilst still keeping the random pickup. I've finally got a go with the Huntsman and I am loving it. However, just a minor flaw, with it on the left hand side of the screen, I find it really dodgy. Is there a skin out there able to flip it for me, or will I have to attempt to make my own (Time to fail).

Well, I guess, but it's not really the Spy's style. He's meant to get up close and kill someone, only to get away and freak everyone out. A throwing knife would make him more like a long range fighter, and he's not. Where as a knife that could allow him to use the bodies as a shield would allow him to get away from a backstab near a group, and keep his... charm, you could say.
