For those who don't know where to find said piece:

Jeez, they hand out extra lives like candy in this one.

Wait, isn't the 1-up jingle from Sonic 3?

Yep. Kinda sucks with the new instruments, and it breaks the chain of the 1-up jingles being short arrangements of the title music.

Ok, you know what? People on the SEGA boards are hating the new Super Music left right and center, but I actually LIKE it. The invincible was already God Tier Super music, but this grew on me really fast! Wednesday can't get here soon enough!

Yeah, I was shocked by that too. The new piece is really excellent and I like the old/invincibility one a lot to be fair. It was just short and annoying.

I'm liking the new act 2 and Super Sonic music. I just got back from the Sega forums and it's a first rate mad house in there.

Would anyone happen to know where exactly to find this new Super Sonic jingle? I already think the Invincibility music is the best example of the entire series (yes, I mean that) and want to know if the new SS music is a fitting replacement.

Scratch that, I didn't watch the CSZ2 video far in enough. :P

It's pretty good, but I'd still prefer the Invincibility, personally. Probably just because of how Godly it is, but that's just me.

I'm not really a huge fan of the new Super Sonic music, but it's not considerably worse than the invincibility jingle or anything; I only wish that it could've actually been an entire song instead of a five-second loop. I guess that's just kind of a tradition. This new song definitely gets points for being different, anyway; it'll keep the title/invincibility theme from wearing out as quickly, which is nice.

More importantly, CSZ Act II looks pretty cool, even if it does seem a little too eager to hand out 1-ups. The new music's really nice, too... not only is it a considerable improvement over the old song, it sounds better than either of Casino Street's other songs, too. I mean, I'll need to give the whole thing a listen, but it sounds like it might be a standout for the soundtrack. Oh, and the new shading looks pretty sexy on Super Sonic, I've gotta say. Whoo~.

The Wii music is all MIDI. It sounds so much better, especially the normal boss music. CSZ2 sounds horrendous, but seriously why did they go for the other style in the HD versions?

I kinda cringed when I heard the Mad Gear act 2 music for the Wii when watching a stream of the game, it didn't sound right with me just sounded horrible while the other tracks sounded better like the 1-up & act cleared music sounded way better than before but I still perfer the HD/iPhone soundtrack though :).

The Wii versions music isn't that bad. Sure I much prefer the original style of the music, but the Wii version's music is pretty good in it's own way. Thankfully Splash Hill Zone Act 3 still sounds brill.

Would it kill them to compose a Super Sonic jingle that's longer than twenty seconds? One of my biggest beefs from the classics is how annoying the super jingles are. This one is no exception to me.

I do like the other tracks, though. Just not that one.

Hey! You're using my album art! +1 rep to you, sir!

I should get to updating it with the high res art. That version is from the Nintendo Power scan.

Does anyone know if there will be an official soundtrack for everything? So far it sounds like the Wii version has slightly different music, so I was wondering if that would carry over (as in all consoles have different audio). If so, there should be some serious soundtracks or high quality rips at the least, >(.

The Wii version has MIDI music to save on space. If a soundtrack is ever released (most likely after all episodes are out) it'll contain the regular tracks instead of the Wii ones.

I wouldn't mind having a copy of the Wii soundtrack because it's different. The Wii music uses the Wii exclusive format called *.rseq, and someone has made a player for it which would be useful. I also believe someone on Retro is attempting to convert them all to midi. He has managed Splash Hill Act 1 so far:

Warning, due to it being converted back, it'll sound even more Midified then in the game :P
