Mobiuscard submitted by: Kristian F. from Warrington, Cheshire has just risen from being behind Svend at around 370 votes within 20 minutes to now be at 720.

Lolwhut?

That's NO Good. 350 votes in 20 minutes? I watched it go up multiple votes by the second.

EDIT: OK, now the same seems to be happening with mine...I've jumped nearly 1000 over night. That's absurd.

Yes, quite absurd.

There definitely seems to be something going on between Kieran's and Kristian's entries. It's not entirely fair on anyone else who entered; particularly Kieran and Kristian if they know nothing about it. It's a shame, because it seems people are willing to do anything to win.

Unfortunately, I doubt anything will be done by Sega about it. So there goes my chances.

At least you guys made it in :(

But it still sucks that there is some foul play going on with the voting system probably. I hope the issue is resolved, it would be nice for people to win fairly, especially when like you said some of the people this is happening to are unaware of it :o!

I can safely say I know nothing about it, it is a damn shame and I'm sorry it's happened, it's taken away all fairness completely. I have spoken to Kristian about it all as well and he seems to be in the same boat as me, I don't know the guy so he may be lying but I don't have a real reason to disbelieve him either. It seems a mystery person or people are behind this. Mine only had trouble last night and then returned to normal, Kristian's on the other hand is still acting up and as you're probably aware is making it's way into 2000's now.

I did inform AAUK of this happening to both Kristian and my own entry, I would assume it's OK for me to say that he's going to see what can be done tomorrow. I've done all I can to bring back normality to the voting and I hope my efforts will be successful.

Honestly I don't like when fans are allowed to vote. The people behind the contest should be the judge IMO.

Good ol' Sega quality web coding going on right there.

I sure hope something gets done about this. It's just not right. >:T

It's pretty obvious that people are abusing the websites poor coding, I was able to vote about 3 times today! I think I'm going to stop just in case I get any votes removed, I've got barely any as it is.

Unless Sega can get their coding together then I think they should just judge it themselves, voting online is too easy to abuse, especially when it's everyday! Hopefully something'll be done about it, I know I probably won't win either way, but I wouldn't like to be a winner knowing that the rest haven't had a fair shot!

While I'd agree emptying the Cache and cookies is a MAJOR flaw in the website and it certainly could be how I was affected, I don't believe that's how Kristian's was rising on Saturday. I could refresh the page once and see his score go up by 10, that's far too quick to achieve through Cache and cookie emptying...isn't it?

Oh yeah, certainly. But I was just saying that this is an added error which shows that the coding, or whatever, is really bad. This could be linked with the fact that people are obviously using bots.

And it sucks that you don't know anything about it! Who'd want you to win that bad?

Or maybe, this is all just a fix up to try and get you framed. Hmm....

SEGA actually left such a big flaw in both the U.S. and UK websites? I hope they're going to do something about this, they should either restart the votes with secure website coding stopping this crap from happening or stop the public vote and vote for the winners themselves.

Yeah I think it should be judged by a panel as well. Heck send it to Sonic Team. The system can currently be messed with in favour AND to cause trouble for finalists. There's no real safe way that votes can be tallied legitly by using an automatic system 100%. It's a shame that people have to ruin the fun of something as nice as this.

Well just so everyone knows, I read on fluffy kitten's site that Sega is working on checking out the issue with vote rigging.

I for one, am really glad to hear this. Some of those kids really deserve to win, fair and square.

I'm not sure who you mean by Sonic Turkey, but right now the Splash Hill Zone mural is winning with about 5,010 votes or so.

I voted for the video that had elephant man in it... it made me laugh and I thought he should get something for all the effort he put into it.

Although I'm not sure what the point in voting is really, it's already totally borked when it comes to rigging, the Sega admins on the boards know it and have responded to it, they should just can the whole thing and pick the winner themselves.

Nothing wrong with her winning. Looks like it must've took her 5 or 6 hours straight.

I've been there.
