Okay, well, I'm having a bit of a problem, here. See, last year at SoS, I wore a lion T-shirt with an image that matched my avatar. Obviously, this would make me pretty easy to spot for other SSMB'ers, since they'd recognise my T-shirt image from my avatar and make the connection.

But!

This year, whilst I was originally planning on wearing it again, I've decided I'd rather do things properly and wear a Sonic T-shirt this year! Of course, that does sort of raise the problem that, at SoS, wearing a Sonic shirt practically equals invisibility since you're essentially wearing 'the uniform'. So I was wondering, what can I do or wear to let people know that I'm me, without losing me in the crowd? I don't want half of you there to miss me due to not knowing I'm me! Any ideas, guys? Name badges? D:

Same goes for everyone else- you going to be doing anything to make yourself identifiable from the masses at all? If so, what? Help me out here!

There's a point actually...the only thing I'll have to distinguish myself is my beard, my hat-that-I-never-leave-home-without and my tattoo (which I'll be getting tomorrow). I just don't think I'll be the only one there under that description. D:

I will, of course, be wearing a Sonic T-Shirt like most others. Posted Image

I would say my Sonic Belt Buckle as that should be unique enough...I just don't wanna have to walk around lifting up my shirt so people can recognise me. Posted Image

In answer to your problem Mahzes, wear an over-the-top Sonic hat or paint yourself blue? Posted Image

I had this problem last year and was staff with a staff tag on my lanyard containing my Shadzer username but despite all this and me showing a photo on my profile beforehand there was only a few attendees that knew who I was

I don't know what I'm going to do to help people recognize me this year so I can have some good chats with you all.

Name tags. Seems easy enough.

Shadzter just said, even with his staff name badge, most people didn't notice. D:

How about we all write our usernames across our foreheads in thick permanent marker?

I'll be in a full fursuit cosplay if I get it finished on time. Most people on my Facebook know which character it is going to be. You might be thinking "But surely there'll be more than one fursuit there this year?". The clue that will most likely give me away is that my suit head has a moving jaw! If I don't finish it on time (and sadly that's looking likely) I'll bring Rouge along again. For the times I am not in costume... I'll be the goth girl hanging round with T-Bird that's trying to start a fight with Urtheart to establish which of the southern counties is superior - Somerset or Cornwall! By the way... The right answer is Somerset, just so you know. ;D

But yeah, name badges are a good idea. Heck, the tickets had names on last year... With the lanyard freebie, we could just use them to identify ourselves. Either that or you could do the "Old grey mare" dance that old guy from the Simpsons does. No-one would miss you then.

By tag I meant ticket since you could wear it from your lanyard, the staff one had a unique design to the attendees ones.

Lots of people couldn't even tell I was staff, I was at the M&SATOWG pods where I was having to hole punch everyone's ticket and they would look at me shocked like "Who the fuck are you and why the hell are you punching my ticket?". Many people did ask me and I had to explain that you had to get the game pad square punched to say you've had a go on M&SATOWG since it's a busy section and we need to make sure everyone's had a go. Got very irritating after a while.

Shadzter just said, even with his staff name badge, most people didn't notice. D:

That would probably be the best solution

Realistically though, yeah- named tickets on lanyards sounds like a fairly decent idea, so long as they remain visible enough. Yeah, it's not as noticeable as a distinctive T-shirt or outfit, but it should do.

Whoever designs the tickets, make sure the names are nice and big!

Lol, I think make myself identifiable is the last thing I want. I'll just be nobody as always. It's not like people will be looking for me anyway :P

Here's my staff ticket from last year and my bright orange SEGA lanyard I bought with help from bolt7 before the event, it has my name on and staff label along with different design to attendees and still no-one took any notice  So I think we could probably do with the name being larger if they all get names this year.

The name should take up at least 3/4 of the ticket, if you ask me.

Okay, might be a bit overkill there, but you get my drift. You can still make a nice-looking ticket with a massive name!

With the magic of PaintShop Pro; behold!

If I can home make a t-shirt before then, it's a Silver and Blaze shirt with Silver holding up a toaster. If not then just a Old skool Sonic one. If I get to go of course.

Unfortunately, there's no area on the 2010 tickets designated currently for a name.

I'm thinking along the lines of making a nice name badge complete with lovely green beads on it and my username in big. I had the problem at '08's SoS when so many people wanted to see me but couldn't identify me, including some of my mates at Concept: "Mobius". Only people I could identify there was Flyboy, Roareye, T-Bird, Siriku, Dread, Ashley Marsh, Helenbaby (Who had a name badge) and S o n i c (No, not that Sonic, the member who is an avid merchandise collector here). I didn't even know who Casanova was when he first talked to me (To my embrassment lol).

So personally-made name badges would be quite ideal. I know i'm making one!

I shall be donning my specially-made Sonic Relief t-shirt for the event. It's white with, unsurprisingly, the Sonic Relief logo (old school one with the red nose Sonic, not the one in my sig) on the front.

And if that isn't enough for people to recognise me, I've got "MK" printed on the back too. So you have no excuses. :P

I'll be easy to identify because I'll be the girl staffing at the Comics/Cartoons table with the stack of Archie comics in front of her. Might be bringing a few other trinkets to show off, too (: I was gonna wear fox ears and a pair of tails last year but I totally forgot them at the last moment ;_; Maybe this year I'll remember.

I might make a quick, lazy nametag to stick on my lanyard, not sure. If not, I'll wear my Naruto headband (not on my head, though!). That should make me noticeable enough. Or both, who knows?

I'll be easy to find. I'll be wearing Sonic pyjamas :) Or at least, that's the idea. Bound to be a conversation starter if nothing else!
