My god this things never going to end is it?Archie v. Penders Trial Delayed to January 2012

Both Sides with More Time to Prepare
As previously reported, this week was supposed to be the week the civil trial between Archie Comics and former Sonic comic writer Ken Penders started, with the possibility of knowing the outcome later this month.
It turns out that, at the last minute, those plans were delayed. TSSZ has learned through public documents that the judge overseeing the case vacated the previous trial date, and rescheduled it for January 30th. Also of note: the judge scheduled a settlement conference for the morning of December 1st, so there’s a chance the matter could still be resolved before the end of the year–and without much more rancor, at that.
We will continue to keep tabs on the matter.

Riiiiiiiight...
While your all debating how cyborg bunnies have sex and how their offspring have robotic parts, IGN released a small preview of issue #230 yesterday:
http://comics.ign.co.../1211174p1.html
It has Genesis spoilers in case your not caught up.
EDIT: while i was reading a discussion on issue 229, i came across this:
Its from an ad about Sonic Universe. According to this, theres only 12 arcs left. did Archie plan for Universe to be only a short runned comic?
It'll be hilarious if all 11 remaining arcs that are represented with Eggman insignias actually turn out to be Eggman arcs.
You want an Eggman arc? Well we're going to give you 11 of them! Quit whining, now.

I can see that as Telling the Story of Shadow's origins, friendship with Maria, experiments by Dr.Gerald Robotnik, Black Doom's schemes, the G.U.N invasion of the ARK, etc.Space Colony ARK... arc?

My favorite arc was the first one with Shadow. I thought that had a pretty good balance in terms of story telling...It was a single continuing arc, yet Shadow was having a completely different adventure in each issue.
As for Sally's role in the near future...I figure she'll probably be a strategist in her primary role, but, given that she has claws and what appear to be palm mounted laser blasters, I think she'll probably fight Sonic at one point.

Lol Sonic vs Sally. I think everyone can get some enjoyment outta that!
It'd probably make for some interesting cover art.
I wonder if Sally's just going to start shooting in random directions next issue. That could be a funny throwback to the SatAM episode with the Sally clone. XD

It is printed on pulp paper, so you don't get the high quality colors like the current comics have with ink. If it was printed on the higher grade paper, however, it would cost more than $ 9.99.
A small interview with Ian Flynn is in it.
Some brief mentions like the backstory of the Xorda Gene Bomb and the mutations to all life on Mobius.
A couple of issues - #200 is one of them. I didn't take notice if anything was different between versions, though.
Basically it's a repeat with a couple of bells and whistles tacked on faced with a chrome lettered front cover. Not really recommended for anyone to pick up unless you are an obsessed collector or are missing a couple of issues.
Also for #230:

Now I'm not saying there won't be anymore in the near future, because there will/might be, but from what I am seeing right now, the Mecha Sally Fan art will be overshadowed by the Original/SatAM/Yardly/Buter style Sally fan art.
Just throwing this out there for ya to think about.

230 I was lucky enough to find the variant cover (never seen one in Forbidden Planet!) and the issue itself was incredible. Dr Eggman is still a class act and you do feel sad for Sally. Shinbe on Sonic comics, the best is just beginning.
Sonic Super Special is quite interesting. i got it mainly cause I didn't start collecting the comics till 189 and really wanted the Birthday Bash story. That is quite epic in itself but the timeline is really interesting. Starting with humanity being destroyed by the xorda it finishes with the ending of the forgotten wars, saying to stay tuned. The next one is Sonic Adventure so that has to be a good thing (more issues I don't have.)

Who honestly cares what's happening on Deviantart? Who honestly cares if Mecha Sally, who has been in just one issue, doesn't have much fan-art?Well, I can say this so far, that when you go to the DA site, that you will see in some of the Sally related groups there, that there is not much Mecha Sally art to be found, I mean some art is there, even before 230 was officially released, but not much.

The fan art will grow once people have "time" to draw the character / read the issues when they come out.

Also The Genesis Arc, while I did find it, rather dull for a special event, the art was just gorgeous! Spaz and Yardley working together is a beautiful sight! Also props to Ben Bates, it's actually his issues that got me back into archie, when I saw sonic vs Bunny my mind was blown at how well it was drawn!
Also Mecha Sally is just beautiful.
