Tikhaos sounds more like a fan romance/coupling but not going into details about that *shudders.

Though the concept sounds pretty stupid of both merging together. I think it would have been better if Chaos could turn into a weapon that Tikal can use, kinda like this:

I'm hearing of this... "Tichaos" thing, and I'm hating the sound of that... I don't really care much for Chaos, but I freaking -love- Tikal, and if that's how they're treating her, damnit, I don't want any part of this. Now, I think it would be an interesting idea if Tikal and Chaos return sometime later and kinda "join" there powers, but this is... ridiculous, from what I've heard, anyway. Its supposed to be some sort of monster, right? Not something I was thinking.

I don't mind the idea of, say, Chaos "merging" into Tikal temporarily, and in some way, Chaos attacks through her (as in, Chaos's water abilities could come out of her body... not that Tikal becomes water-y in any way). Again, from what I've -heard- of this, it sounds stupid, and plain just makes me sick. It'd be one thing if they just let Tikal/Chaos appear... but noo, they've got to turn 'em into a MONSTER. Sheesh.

What a way to treat my favorite character. (Yes, I know Shadow used to be my fav. Tikal just passed him up.)


EDIT: Oh yeah, almost forgot... let's not forget how they've totally destroyed my SECOND favorite character, too. (King Shadow, bleh.)

I'm really glad this "alternate future" arc is almost over.;; It just seems like an excuse for the comic to be stranger than usual, for the most part.;;

lol, they didn't destroy anything, Ultima. This is an alternate future story. Main reason why it's coming back is because of high demand from the readership.

Frankly, I think that demand stems from the stories set in the timeline generally being pretty damn good to anyone who's familiar with the continuity. Myself and just about every fan/former fan I've talked to have been really enjoying this (though a few have been put off by the Tikhaos weirdness. I'm personally waiting for the explanation for the character coming in the next issue).

Though, I'd much rather be reading the third issue of a Knuckles story right now. As much as I've liked M30YL, it's still a colossal waste of time for a series I'd much rather see focused on stuff taking place in the actual continuity.

I still don't know what the heck they did with Tikal and Chaos.. if they had a kid, it would be Tikhaos.. Summoner of power + feeder of power .. ?

I'm guessing the young again - old again - young again King Sonic will go Super .. maybe along side one of the kids or something..

I just read on a wikipedia that Archie Comics sent a cease and desist to Fanfiction.net ordering them to remove all writings including their copyrighted characters because it was damaging the comics "public image", pretty funny that they would care that much. LoL I don't really care about fanfiction but it's too bad for the people who do.

Really they seem to treat their fans like garbage in general, especially non-americans, if Sonic the Hedgehog got picked up By Marvel or DC Comics or even Dark Horse, it would be the best thing to ever happen for the IP, but we all know thats very unlikely.
I don't really value the comic for the story, i just like some of the artwork and the collectability of them.

Some things that bug me about the 30YL story;

Why are Bunnie and Antoine's kids cyborgs? Scratch that, how is bunnie even ABLE to have kids...she was robotoziced from the waist down, and why does the son have a french accent and the girl have a southern accent?

What is Tikhaos? Is it the fusion of Tikal and Chaos? Is it their child?

Well generally I wouldn't trust Wikipedia on a source like this BECAUSE
1. Archie don't own the characters, and believe me, they know that.
2. Wikipedia isn't exactly your location for news on subjects like these.
3. I have not heard this anywhere and besides apparently Wikipedia saying it, it going anywhere.

Actually, what he said does have some truth to it. As an FF.net member I remember there being a list of publications/writers that didn't want FF.net to host any stories featuring their properties, with Archie being included on it. This also included folks like Anne Rice. From what I understood it was primarily geared towards hindering fan wank concerning stories that made use of certain pairings, and in the case of Archie's flagship comic, that would mean folks pairing Archie with either Betty or Veronica. As for their Sonic comics I'm not quite so sure that applies to them, but then again you never know.

I think this still exists somewhere in their TOS.

Generally I don't either, but a quick search on google gives me a lot of results. Also, it appears on their guidelines page, so I believe it.

But, I doubt that FF.Net would enforce this new law without some slips or turning a blind eye to it. But, however, last time when they did enforce a overall policy, they wiped out their whole "Non-fictional" characters section and caused a mass migration of writers to other, smaller known sites. And what about the said smaller sites? If Archie is hellbent on not allowing people to write stories about their comic properties and the ones that fall under them, then they would target them all as well.

It seems like right now, its a wait-and-see policy.

I will not get into the fanfic disscussion here because there's something in the comics that has been bothered me:

When they will focus more on Silver? When he appeared he said that his future was a big mess caused by some traitor in the freedom fighters (I don't recall correctly), but he seems to be pushed to the sidelines by the main characters in both the normal comic and Universe. It's that they think Silver's apocalyptic future is not important? A screwed out tomorrow sure sounds bad for me, seriously, more than Silver himself, his motives involving a TRAITOR and an APOCALYPTIC future seems very important!!!

It's difficult to do anything with Silver because SEGA has never giving much about what his life is like. What would happen if the writers give him a place to live, some villians other than Eggman Nega to taggle with, some comrades to associate with, and anything else they want to do with him ... only for them to have to completely get rid of all of the world building when SEGA starts giving Silver all of those things in the games. It won't end well and you have two completely different origins for the same character. It'll just make things convulted and difficult to keep track of, especially if SEGA intervene and Archie has to drop everything they worked on.

Although, the last part of my post I said was that Ian has hinted on his forum that Silver is a "trainer" who works under a "master" to help keep working on and developing his Psykokenesis. (sp?) Nothing more was said, and who knows when this will ever be used for Silver in the comics if SEGA ever gives the greenlit to use it.
