Ohhhh! A pre-SoS dinner sounds really nice. ^^ But um..me and Alex (er..my bf, whatevers XP) will probably be in London at about 6PM, so I'm not sure if we can make it. Afterall, we need to unpack our luggage at the hotel, and then take a 20 minute journey with the Underground to Shepherd's Bush. Mmmn. I'll ask him about it later, see what he thinks.

I'd love for you to join us, Gabz if you're able to make it. You can always join us later after you've arrived, unpacked, etc.

Quote

I'll be free at 6, so if you guys want to meet up earlier that's cool, and I'll just come round when i'm done. Maybe if you chaps want to check out the Bush, we should go to the bar that I've reserved for the next day and check it out? If not, we can work something else out? Maybe find a coffee shop and just drink hot chocolate and listen to some jazz?

Dazz, here's what I'm suggesting in regards to meet up and dinner times. For those who can meet up before dinner, let's all meet up at the Grantly hotel between 6 and 7, and around 7, why don't we go somewhere close for dinner, like the Vesbar or Wetherspoon for example. That way anyone who still wants to join us later on can simply meet us there.

I could be getting my dates wrong.

But isn't the weekend of SOS a bank holiday? If thats the case various places might be very full/busy, so we might need to get a good number on who wants to come and book somewhere.

If a reservation at the Vesbar that night isn't available, then an alternative would be Weatherspoon at the West12 Shopping Center. It's literally right across the street from the Shepard's Bush Central line station, so if anyone was coming later from another part of London, they could easily meet us there.

Edit:

I looked up the Bank Holiday dates, and the summer one is August 2nd and not the weekend of SoS.

Has a place been decided on yet? Weatherspoon at the West12 Shopping Center would be a good idea since it's right across the street from the Shepard's Bush station. We can also take at the Vesbar before dinner to get an idea of what the it's like.

Hey guys we're thinking the same thing here by the looks of things :P I think the Central Bar (Wetherspoons) is a good idea as its on the triangle and opposite a tube statio- failing that there's the Walkabout next to the Pavilion or another aussie bar I think all in close proximity if somewhere is busy. Which it will be. Especially on a Friday. WIth 100's of Sonic fans too. I'll be in London from 5pm onwards to chill for a bit before my day of DJ-ing-ness XD

I'll probably get there for around 20 to 7. I don't know where the hotel is, so I'll just call kevin or someone. I'll wear something nerdy so I fit in.

No idea if I'll be at the Friday night event, but is anyone else up for going around London or whatever the Friday afternoon or Sunday daytime?

Here's a map of the hotel. It's pretty easy to find:

Basically, when you come out of the Shepard's Bush Cental Line Station, stay on Shepard's Bush Green and eventually you'll see the hotel.

But if you're still having trouble finding the place, feel free to call me, and I'll be glad to help you out.

Can a booking be made at JD Weatherspoon at the West12 Shopping Center at all? I counted around 20 people coming give or take a few depending on the people who said they were maybe coming but were waiting to see. Someone else may want to count as well just to make sure that I didn't miscount or anything.
