Yay effective first post!

Finally someone that doesn't suck. This guy to the highest route. I believe there are different ways to finish this lvl or some crap. Also many falls lead to a section below and not a "bottomless pit" death that ppl always complain about.

Also if you notice you can't use the boot unless Sonic reaches a certain speed on his own...great addition!

Welcome aboard! :D

Just to let you know, this has been posted already a few times, but, everyone makes mistakes, and you're new, so no worries. ;)

Try to look in existing threads to see if something's been posted already.

And the stage you're referring to is called Planet Wisp. :)

The only reason why this game does not impress me is because it's basically Unleashed 2 on the wii. I mean why couldn't they put it on the 360 or PS3 and bump up the graphics? Oh well it still looks decent but I'll still be skipping this game.

Because the wii is a better system in terms of fun factor and stability (that means it doesn't have a 74% failure rate) and because SEGA needed to prove they know how to not cut corners when making new games. I always said that the wii was capable of utilizing the hedgehog engine.. what do I get "NO WAI MAN! THERE'S TOO MANY COLORS AND SPEED BLUR FOR THE WII!" well now do you believe me? thought so

My Wii has broken down on me three times now. This is the new one. My old one broke down eight times and stopped reading disks all together.

and because SEGA needed to prove they know how to not cut corners when making new games.

Yes! Using LESS graphical power means you put MORE time into it!

I always said that the wii was capable of utilizing the hedgehog engine.. what do I get "NO WAI MAN! THERE'S TOO MANY COLORS AND SPEED BLUR FOR THE WII!" well now do you believe me? thought so

I have no clue how many people have said this, but I'll repeat it.

Colors does not have the Hedgehog Engine.

The Hedgehog Engine does not control Sonic's movement or physics.

It is a graphical engine.

It is a graphical engine built to allow textures, models, and sprites look better while the camera moves at high speeds.

It requires a larger amount of graphical power than the Wii can handle.

By just watching this game, it is easy to tell that it is nowhere near the graphical quality of the HD versions of Unleashed.

You do not know what you are talking about.

im not saying that this game uses the hedgehog engine, but looking at the game-play, it's pretty damn close to what unleashed 360 was. where the hell did I say the hedgehog engine controls sonic's movements and physics? I think you don't know what you're talking about. Your wii broke down? well that's a shame? you sure it isn't user error? because mine's nearly 4 years old and still kicking not once failing me. Using less graphical power? Uhh...no....this game is obviously much closer to looking like the 360 version of unleashed than the original wii version was. Hell, unleashed wii wasn't even CLOSE to looking as good as the storybook series does. This tells me that SEGA cut corners. HH engine is far too advanced? BS. The conduit proved that the wii can handle amazing graphics without frame lag.

and don't bother quoting me on anything or arguing with any of these points....i'm not here to start a war and I'm certainly not gonna waste my time on an abysmal argument like this. And neither should you

Then why exactly did you bring it up?

where the hell did I say the hedgehog engine controls sonic's movements and physics? I think you don't know what you're talking about.

Let's play the implications game! I'll imply something, then i'll argue that it was never implied! Isn't that fun!

Your wii broke down? well that's a shame? you sure it isn't user error? because mine's nearly 4 years old and still kicking not once failing me.

First one was an original model we got within the first few months. Ended up breaking down a bit, especially when playing Brawl. Then it just stopped playing games. No user error, no problems with anyone messing with the insides, just the damn thing didn't hold up. And our new one doesn't do so well so far either.

Using less graphical power? Uhh...no....this game is obviously much closer to looking like the 360 version of unleashed than the original wii version was.

They actually look very similar in terms of graphical power, Colors seems to be a little higher, but it's nowhere near how great it would be on the PS3, or even 360.

HH engine is far too advanced? BS. The conduit proved that the wii can handle amazing graphics without frame lag.

The Conduit is still not as good graphically as the HD consoles. It's not even close. The Hedgehog Engine was not built for the Wii, and to use it for Colors, they would have to take a lot of time into readjusting it until it's not even the Hedgehog Engine. Easier to use a graphics engine they already used, or another existing one.

and don't bother quoting me on anything or arguing with any of these points....i'm not here to start a war and I'm certainly not gonna waste my time on an abysmal argument like this. And neither should you

That's great and all, but you are wrong. On the internet.

And this is unacceptable.

also i generally reply whenever someone argues against me. just a habit.

I have to agree with Farnsworth here... If you didn't mean that the game uses the Hedgehog Engine why even bring it up? This little statement makes it seems as though that's what you meant.

and no matter how good Colors looks, it will never look as good as this...
Spoiler

Unless it was made for the ps3/360.

And the whole "my console didn't break down" is just a matter of personal experience. Some have their 360's for years and no RROD while others get it right out of that box. Why they choose the Wii as console of choice I'll never know, but it isn't for the stability and "fun factor" if you ask me :D

Because the wii is a better system in terms of fun factor and stability (that means it doesn't have a 74% failure rate)

last time I checked the Ps3 didn't have that failure rate and neither does the 360 these days from what I'm told due to the newer models and the newer way they were making the older models

and don't bother quoting me on anything or arguing with any of these points....i'm not here to start a war and I'm certainly not gonna waste my time on an abysmal argument like this. And neither should you

Isn't that why we're all here :D lol jk jk

I don't like to see it as arguing, but more of a debate. It's really only an argument when people start getting immature about and start getting upset, cussing and all dat.

^This right here is a bullshit reason to pass up a game. 2 points to make here:

1. Did you even compare unleashed wii to unleashed 360/ps3 to colors? the gameplay of colors mimics unleashed 360/ps3's daytime gameplay completely even some tweaks added that the SU360/ps3 didn't have. colors looks nothing like the shit wii/ps2 port of colors!

Heres a comparison if you don't want to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paSqj-8S9uYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3fhULwYpcI

Colors gameplay from E32010:

2. Graphics? seriously?! your putting a game off because its not on a 360/ps3 and isn't bumped to HD? thats bullshit a game doesn't fucking need SUPA HDZ graphics to be a good game and colors is proving that point. colors doesn't need flash or sparkle or realistic brown hd its got fucking good gameplay and thats good enough.

Your reasons for not wanting colors are bad and you should feel bad.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought this was running the hedgehog engine but just ported and tweaked? Hope they are not using the wii's crappy internal engine that would be soo messed up.
EDIT: Best i could find was a LQ speedrun. let me know if a better version is out there.
What does it sound like to you? I think it sounds very much like an announcer..
Heres a comparison if you don't want to:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=IB00rs_fbcghttp://www.youtube.c...h?v=H3fhULwYpcI
Was that level in the 360 version optional? I can't remember it =_='
And the Wii version doesn't look as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It looks pretty fun.
But there's never been an announcer in a Sonic game, why did they decide to put it in this time?
The "Rocket!" one sounded just like Sonic but the other ones... :lol:
And I think that level from Unleashed 360 is a DLC...but I'm not sure...
This Video Makes it as autmated as unleashed (both versions aside the DLC level and Eggman land).
I liked tropical resort better and even sweet mountain :
I liked when you could Slow down and see things rather than boost , oh well at least sonic team recognizes the issue with the day stages (death traps,lack of paltforming) and at the last 3d part i saw some platforming. :P
Fuck you serious? damnit i'll go find another video then. thats what i get for not looking at the video first.
And the Wii version doesn't look as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It looks pretty fun.
At first i thought this was the best the wii can do with something like SU but now that i've seen colors, its just a shit port i think they could've done bettter instead of copping out.
Looks like fun. I don't think this is a full Act though, as it ends with a Goal Ring rather than a Wisp Capsule. Probably a cut short demo verion, like that one of Sweet Mountain back at E3. Good news though, as I did find it a bit short.
It's unfortunate that such an appealing 3D Sonic game comes out when it does (Nov 16th). It's gonna be a very busy holiday for me...
Maybe the Wisp capsule is only in the final act like in the classics?
