Looks great! I guess that card level is replacing the point challenge level. Also, was that funky card run at the end of the trailer in game?

Wow looks fantastic. Card gimmick must be from the redesigned Act Two since I don't remember that at all from the leaks. I'm actually pretty impressed because Casino Street looked pretty lame as a whole nevermind the second act cop-out but this looks like fun.

So (saying this as someone who never watched leaked vids of this zone) is the card thing the new gimmick?

Y'know, despite all the rage against the game, and my own concerns with some of the things I've seen, the game always ends up looking fun in the trailers.

Though they really need to fire whoever it is that they got for those bookend segments. Terrible, terrible animation, there...

I like it, although SEGA seems determined to make those pre-rendered sections look like shit.

I haven't watched the leaks, but I think the card thing is new. It looks cool.

Man, that style of trailer will never cease to look tacky. I mean, this one was a little better than the last few, but not by much. Their insistence on not using the actual game's music just baffles me.

So the new Act 2 will have a playing-card theme, eh? The card gimmicks look interesting, but it's difficult to tell exactly what all of them do, exactly. I mean, some of them are clearly Wing Fortress-style platforms, but there seem to be a few other card-related things going on that aren't as obvious. Regardless of what they actually do, though, I like that the cards add something visually new to the otherwise carbon-copied-from-Sonic 2 level theme.

Level looks nice. But I wish the trailer would show longer moments of gameplay and would cut less often, because it's rather confusing.

But how else would it sync up with the out of place dramatic music?

When are we going to get a release date though? :/ it would be nice if this came out at least a month before Sonic Colors. I'm really hoping we get it by mid-October.

Jaouad finally impressed for the first time?

Finally!!! It was goddamn time before i'd see something that would actually impress me.

This is the first trailer where I can see love has put into the game in making it worthy of the name sonic 4. The first !!!!

Now this has been proved, i'm looking forward to how much love theyre gonna put in episode 2.

It seems that all the fans feedback has only brought this game to a much finer state. (I'm grateful rubyeclipse, thanks for all your effort bro.)

(Never forget about us, even if I can be a **** sometimes.)

I just read the preview and the guy was talking about how many times he died during a card flipping segment... did they really suspend them over bottomless pits?

Though the music is obviously stock and not written with Sonic in mind, I liked how much the slap bass and synth sounded like Sonic Spinball's soundtrack.

The card gimmick looks awesome!

lol, yes it sounds very similar to Toxic Caves.

"Every single one of our traditional Sonic games on the Genesis, whether it be Sonic 1, 2, or 3, we've always had sort of a casino level," Sega's brand manager for Sonic 4, Ken Balough, told me during my preview of the new area. "So keeping with that theme, I think it's kinda important that we continue that here. Casino Streets Zone isn't inspired by any of the previous ones, it's a casino-style

What the hell? Not only in Casino Street perhaps MOST similar to any past stages, but that entire paragraph doesn't make any sense.

How dare they. All collapsing/disappearing platforms should be positioned over padded surfaces to prevent injury.

CSZ3 garnered much criticism for the same thing, it's funny that they'd pull the same again. While bottomless pits are fine, it's just a worry when they put all the big platforming areas over them. The cards look awesome though, no doubts.

Also Rush used the same sort of close-to-camera 3D effects. Sonic Rush 3 lolololololol (joking, by the way)

this is just amazing , its not really just a classic sonic game when i look at the Trailer, its Really some thing visually and level design wise much better!!!

This looks like a classic sonic game more than sonic colors! but still both looks classics.

i am excited for both as much after looking at this trailer! :)

Wait is it Casino Street or Streets?

Oh and fuck you SEGA for 0:47-0:51. I had my earphones on at highest it could go.

Why do they insist on doing those crappy intros and outros? Seriously they terrible.

But yeah, this is definitely a zone taking it in the right direction. I typically hate carnival levels with a burning passion, but for whatever reason that didn't bother me in the slightest. Looked like some good platforming and lots of bouncing.

The need for Sonic's jump animation to scale faster with his speed becomes really apparent when he goes through that loop though.
