I guess something specific I can mention about 3d Sonic games that I guiltily enjoy, that most people didn't, where the Hub Worlds in the HD Unleashed. God, I loved these. In terms of just being well designed plattforming/city areas they are on par with Zelda and the bigger JRPGS standard with their individual NPC's,Lighting etc.

I expected this to be a topic about general guilty pleasures in games. I was going to mention throwing off baby penguins from cliffs in Super Mario 64 and wavedash teabagging people with Deadpool after winning a game in MvC3.

Uh, I keep hearing people say Tonic Trouble and Gex 3D was shit. Not sure that's so much a guilty pleasure. I did enjoy the Grim Adventures videogame on Wii though.

I know what you mean with Tonic Trouble, it's an old favourite of mine. Therefore I'll add that to my list.

Oh I think we can post stuff like that too

One of my in game guilty pleasures while playing Tomb Raider Anniversary and Legend is doing a Swan dive from top of a high place or drowning Lara with the Sonic Colours drowning music on........those was quite weird In game guilty pleasures XD.

If its anything guilty pleasures in games, one would be throwing Chaos against walls in Sonic Adventure 2  c'mon....we've all done it?

Chopping C3PO bit by bit in Lego Star Wars!!! I'm sorry but it's amusing as fuck to see him hop on one foot trying to catch up  but not as fun when I have to play as him and I'm hopping D:

Another game I consider a guilty pleasure that I forgot earlier is Guitar Hero/Rockband games, seeing as so far I'm practically the only member I see here that enjoys both series of games!! I love them, Rockband more though due to the better sog download service and ammount of songs it has for download, adding the fact it added realistic instrument experience and Keyboard which guitar hero never got around to!

If you've ever played Skies of Arcadia, you'll most likely find Looper slaying immensely satisfying. The SoA Fanbase even named a Looper only place on the world map Looper Land because of it's infamy as a place to go after and mass murder Loopers. And who wouldn't want to? Those things utilise annoying magic, have by far the highest Dodge % of any enemy and they love to flee. I love using Vyse's Rain of Swords to slaughter them en-masse.

Bubsy 3D

Oh man, how did I forget Bubsy for SNES? I was actually shocked to see how hated that game is. True, I hate the "one hit and your dead" deal, but I always thought the game had a lot of style and character, not quite on par with SONIC or Earthworm Jim, but still up there. Plus I love the little quotes at the beginning of levels.

Thank you kindly to everybody who's posted thusfar! Some great answers! :)

And apologies for not mentioning videogaming guilty pleasures in general, ie: in-game actions! Of course list them (and full agreement with Shaddix for the swan diving, and Spartan for hacking up C-3PO in LEGO Star Wars II - The Original Trilogy... both particularly guilty pleasures, as they involve making a character suffer). Myself, I quite enjoyed taking Homer Simpson around Springfield in The Simpsons: Hit & Run, on foot, to kick pedestrians around. Not only do they say funny random lines, which I wanted to hear, but they look really comical when rolling about the place!

I also feel massively guilty about locking the poor butler in the fridge, during the mansion in Tomb Raider II, but we all did it, right? Aww, poor butler, with his mumbling and rattling tea tray... God, I used to be such a monster! I always let him out again.

That! I used to do that all the freaking time. And my sisters did it too! Serves that freaky old man right! Farting and stalking Lara around her mansion, rattling the finest china and tea tray XD

Nah, what should truly be a guilty pleasure is doing the cheat to get every weapon and ammo, equipping the rocket launcher/Grenade Launcher and blasting his ass to kingdom come. I kid you not, it's actually possible to blow old Winston to bits if you do that infinite weapon and ammo cheat and fire at him with the rocket launcher or Grenade Launcher. See?;

Bumping this since I found it.

I really enjoy Sonic '06. It's terrible, I know. The models are utter crap, the gameplay is broken, the story is bullshit. But I can't bring myself to hate it. I can only love it!

I enjoyed Little Mermaid on the SEGA Genesis. The collision detection is utter crap, the music makes me wanna kill a cat, but it's the only game I can blast through in 2 hours casually, and that feels so satisfying.

Donkey Kong Country on the gameboy color was a fun port for me, despite the colors being utterly sickening and the screen being too small to see ahead, oh and those terrible

Sonic Heroes had a lot of graphical issues, enemy health, terrible usage of gimmicks, reusing of the same stages, but I love it all the same.

Bubsy is terrible looking back, and playing it on the gameboy sure didn't make it any easier. That insta-death was a pain in the bum to deal with, and the lack of color just made everything frustrating.

I get a huge rush out of anything fast-paced and frenetic, so I guess you could say I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie when it comes to video games. Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Rush are always a ton of fun to play, even despite their flaws.

I also get the feeling that I enjoy swinging around the city more than anyone else in Ultimate Spider-Man. It's considered a great game, yeah, but I just get a huge kick out of the wall-running and swinging mechanics.

Edit: Also holy crap, Glenn's been gone a while. Wonder where he went.

I doubt any of you have heard of this game, but I really enjoyed Mazes of Fate on the GBA. The only reason I know about it is because I saw it in a bargain bin.

Basically what Mazes of Fate is if if you took this screensaver and made it into an RPG.

Holy shit I remember that.
I used to sit and watch that for ages as a kid. Fascinated me for no discernible reason.
