What the Hell name is going to have? Super Smash Bros. Fighting? Wrestling? Something entirely foreign? Nintendo All-Stars?

Here's a thought:

I always thought it could be called Super Smash Bros 4 (kind of with the motif of Mario Kart 7 in terms of name), or Super Smash Bros Clash.

Plus I'd like to see Ridley finally make his debut as a fighter. And don't try to pull that "He's to big" argument because look at Pikachu. In th games and anime he's small enough to fit on somebody's shoulder but in smash bros he's roughly the same size as a dog. And then there's bowser. In most Mario games he's around 9 feet tall (In sunshine and galaxy 2 he was bigger than a house). But in smash bros he's the same size as snake. In other words if they can resize those two then I'm sure they can resize Ridley.
Wing Span issues, you gotta remember that.

Rumble, Brouhaha, Policital Debate, 4, Strife, Dogfights, there's tons of fighting names they have left before they start to cheapen out on names,
Coming in 2045 Super Smash Bros. Beach Volleyball X-Treme. Featuring Peach, Samus, Zelda, and Wario

Won't be impossible to come up with an alright name, but it'll be interesting at least when the full name (or names, in the event of different version names) are released.

Bull. Fucking. Shit.Sonic's colors were so similar due to time constraints, most likely.
It takes all of five minutes to throw a character skin through a quick Photoshop colour filter and exclude the areas of exposed skin you want to leave intact. A last minute addition Sonic might've been, but there is not a damned way in hell they were so strapped for time that they couldn't set aside 30 minutes at the most to cycle his blues through the various team colours. Time constraints couldn't have played a single damned part in it - this was a deliberate design decision, and a massively fucking stupid one at that.

Does it truly matter and people really care about that? Given, it didn't bother me, but that's not what I'm basing my opinion on solely. I know at times it was hard to tell him apart from other blue characters, especially in Team Brawl, but we got the character that people were ranting and raving for, I can deal with him lacking alternate colors, despite how easy it is to put together.Bull. Fucking. Shit.

It's not shallow, me and some friends got a Wii just for Brawl and Galaxy.
...Dixie Kong for Super Smash Bros. Brouhaha?
Oh please. I'd love Sakurai forever for letting Dixie in.

In a typical team match, there are two colours - red and blue. Sonic is blue in both of them. This is astonishingly fucking retarded no matter how anyone spins it. When it comes to the extent that a selection of colours actually can have gameplay implications then yes, I'd say it does matter.Does it truly matter and people really care about that?
And really, given the ridiculous ease of putting a few actual colour selections in, what reason do they have not to put them in? And no, "just be grateful we got Sonic at all" is not in the slightest bit a relevant argument. It's not like Sakurai hooked Snake up with 5 different shades of grey with different coloured headbands, after all.
If I remember right, Dixie actually had placeholder files on Brawl's disc (if not any modelled/animated assets to go with them). It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Sakurai had some material left over there that he'd rather recycle and use for Super Smash Bros: Electric Boogaloo.Oh please. I'd love Sakurai forever for letting Dixie in.

In regards to Dixie Kong though, I'd really rather she not appear and instead we got King K. Rool. His potential moveset would be more unique (since Dixie could easily share some moves from Diddy) and he's a better representitive of the Donkey Kong series, being it's most reoccurring villain (plus I just generally like him better than Dixie :V). If both end up appearing then that'd be fine, but ideally I'd much rather K. Rool would take precedence over Dixie.

It might be worth mentioning too, that for Sonic's alternate colours they were perfectly able to model little extra touches (like stuff that went over the cuffs of his gloves). So if they had time to make those little things and add them, they surely had all the time they needed to run a quick pallet swap.
They definitely had all the time they needed, because they did go through the trouble to give Sonic an incredibly shitty "palette swap". They took the time to edit his fur into a slightly different shade of blue depending on his shoe color/cuff trinkets, which would take roughly the same amount of time as making him a whole new color entirely.

There's also a green color, which is pretty distinguishable and another team color, no one is forcing you to pick either blue or red. Not much of an implication if you ask me.In a typical team match, there are two colours - red and blue. Sonic is blue in both of them. This is astonishingly fucking retarded no matter how anyone spins it. When it comes to the extent that a selection of colours actually can have gameplay implications then yes, I'd say it does matter.

When it came to confusing my character with someone else's due to colors, I had this problem with other characters other than sonic. That problem is existent no matter who you pick during a 4 man brawl really. Sometimes it would happen when all the characters on screen had different (VERY DIFFERENT) colors. With a 4 player game with all the players sharing the same screen with a bunch of shit happening at once, the screen panning in and out constantly, conflicting colors in the backgrounds that tend to have changing colors... it's actually quite easy to lose your character in the fray.

Red Sonic being blue doesn't suddenly stop being absolutely stupid when there's a greenish-but-not-quite-actual-green pallette to choose from. In fact that's just sidestepping the point entirely. I'm not even sure what you expect to prove by saying this. There's also a green color, which is pretty distinguishable and another team color, no one is forcing you to pick either blue or red. Not much of an implication if you ask me.
Who fucking cares? If it does happen with other characters that doesn't suddenly make the precedent acceptable. Again, you're completely sidestepping the point. It really irritates me that you insist on such ridiculous strawmen as these, even if it's only because you literally can't think of a single way that a red team colour skin being any colour other than red is in any way not an absurdly retarded thing to be doing. When it came to confusing my character with someone else's due to colors, I had this problem with other characters other than sonic
So you're defending the act of not assigning proper team colours and making the issue far worse. Bravo, good sir. Bravo. That problem is existent no matter who you pick during a 4 man brawl really. Honestly, I kind of like how they did Sonic's alternate colors for the most part. I liked how
Oh yeah and having normal Sonic as the blue color was stupid. .. <.<

Then choose green and red or blue, not just red and blue. I am not sidestepping the point completely. Yeah, he's still a shade of "blue," but the shade of green is highly distinguishable from the others.in a typical team match, there are two colours - red and blue. Sonic is blue in both of them.
No more implication. Not to mention you have the lovely option to put a name over your character. Yeah, I know, not the point, but still addresses the problem you brought up when it comes to teams and Sonic being blue. Again, no more implications. When it comes to the extent that a selection of colours actually can have gameplay implications then yes, I'd say it does matter.
Who fucking cares?
Wow, can you be anymore immature. I'm just trying to have a decent discussion here, no need to get that way. If you have some sort of personal problem with me, just let me know. If what I say irritates you, than that is your problem, I'm seriously just trying to have a civil discussion here, I'm not trying to get under anyone's skin.
Never said that. Just don't care too much myself. If it does happen with other characters that doesn't suddenly make the precedent acceptable.
Ever stop to think that I don't care? Sonic is BLUE last time I checked. Yeah, it kinda sucks that he didn't get any other colors other than blue with light changes to his shoes/gloves, but what's done is done.even if it's only because you literally can't think of a single way that a red team colour skin being any colour other than red is in any way not an absurdly retarded thing to be doing.
I never said TEAM colors, I meant 4 player brawls in general, despite colors and how it can be relatively easy at times to loose your character in the moment, such as mentioned before; panning cameras, items, explosions, so on and so forth. So you're defending the act of not assigning proper team colours and making the issue far worse. Bravo, good sir. Bravo.

What if neither player likes green? Then choose green and red or blue, not just red and blue.
But seriously though, I fail to see why the burden should be on us to compensate for shit design, especially shit design that could've been fixed easily within 5 minutes of photoshop. Next thing you know, you'll be telling me Meta Knight doesn't desperately need a complete rebalancing because players have the option of not playing as him, or that we shouldn't worry about capsules or crates exploding at complete random because we have the option of turning every last one item in the list off. Frankly I'm just glad you don't design games yourself at this rate, because this kind of apathy towards blatant design flaws is absolutely disgusting.
Let's not call the kettle black now - remember, that was pretty much how you started this argument in the first place, minus an emphasis cuss:Wow, can you be anymore immature.
Does it truly matter and people really care about that?
Sorry, that excuse only holds water before you've already spent the better part of a whole forum page bickering about it.Ever stop to think that I don't care?
Lucario is blue, Kirby is pink, Yoshi is green, Game & Watch is black, Samus is orange (or blue, depending on which form) Link wears green all over, The Ice Climbers both have a single dominant colour each...and they all have either full-body colour changes or something damn near the same thing. Why the hell should Sonic be an exception? Is it some kind of sin to change his fur colour in line with everyone else's?Sonic is BLUE last time I checked.
Considering both involve texture changes anyway, I fail to see a single bit of difference this makes. It also still means a 4 way brawl between Sonic players is still going to be a storm of blue no matter their colour choices, with the only distinguishable difference between them most of the time being a fucking recoloured glove cuff that will almost certaintly never be seen up close - much less in the time it takes him to cover the distance of Final Destination. So uh... what is your point here, exactly?I never said TEAM colors, I meant 4 player brawls in general, despite colors and how it can be relatively easy at times to loose your character in the moment, such as mentioned before; panning cameras, items, explosions, so on and so forth.
