So this was mentioned on facebook and looking at Sonic Merchandise they're trying to make this look more exciting than it is, it's both in the collectables section as well as the poster section.

But I'm curious about something.

This is the poster in question, being sold as a "20th Anniversary poster" thats exclusive to Sonic Merchandise... but... is it?



Hasn't this been on sale before? I'm sure people have been showing this off months before Sonic Merchandise was even opperational?

I got mine at SoS, signed by Iizuka to . It's also been on the website since it first went live, it's not a new addition. Are they only shouting about it now?

By 'exclusive', they might mean at this moment in time. That could be right, is there anywhere else selling it right now?

Yeah I know it was at SOS since someone asked me if there were any more (I had not idea). But I'm sure that since then people have gotten them, for some reason I think Gamestation were giving them away.

It definately didn't have that 'exclusive' mark by it the other week, and it definately wasn't in the collectables section.

Well, the US store won't have the DVDs, unless Cookie Jar releases them. However, as of recent all the old DIC shows have been repacked in massive complete series sets from cookie jar, complete with shitty menus and no special features.

I'm having trouble thinking of many items we (americans) would get that you wouldn't. The only thing that comes to my mind is that the UK will be getting the chess board while the US won't. About the only things the US has that you don't would be a lot of Jazwarwes items and GE Animation items. However both of those companies are liecensed to sell to you. SEGA realises the majority of the fan base resides in the UK. I don't see why they wouldn't take that into account. We all get our special exclusive stuff every now and again.

I don't think you guys in the states are quite aware of how much stuff you actually get over the UK.

Yeah theres a lot of stuff thats only out in the UK, although much of it is quite bad, all that Sonic Stationary stuff for example, theres only 2 maybe 3 things in all that stuff which is desireable.

In terms of "AMERICA GETS EVERYTHING" theres so much that I'd gladly swap a lot of the UK exclusive stuff for. e.g.

Jazwares figures. We don't get any of the TRU exclusive brands. We don't get any of the comic combo packs, we don't get any of the larger play kits e.g. the Big & Froggy/Robotnik/Metal Sonic/ASR set.

Spencers: I have never seen any of the stuff that Spencers sell for sale in the UK or even in mainland Europe for that matter I don't see that changing any time soon. The shot glasses that were quite popular, as well as the snuggie and various other items, never seen the light of day over here.

GE Entertainments entire catalogue: This thing is enormous. I have bought a lot of stuff made by GE, mainly pin badges as well as a few plushies... know what they all have in common, I've had to resort to ebay sellers or inflated prices because there was no way to get them here in the UK or mainland Europe. And it's a list of products that keeps growing just today I got my imported Super Sonic plush, something that I doubt will ever be for sale over here.

Today Mikeblastdude found this whilst out shopping. I bet none of that stuff makes it over here either.

In that last year, what has the UK/Europe got which people have wanted on mass? I can only think of two things.

The PMS Eggman plush & The Sonic Generations C.E.

I live in a quite bad area in way of Spencers, FYE, and TRU. I guess I don't quite understand the situations in either countries as much as I thought I did.

WOW seems Canada and the UK have something in common...we have nothing here ether. Our TRU might maybe stock one or two new things but NOTHING near what they have in the US. I just checked the other day and we have just started to get the New 20th Through Time figures ._.

85% of my whole Sonic collection was all stuff I bought online through Ebay or other means.

Sonic Merchandise has had an update... and it actually has something that I've never seen before.



it appears just to be a collection of the SatAM dvds, probably just to try and sell some of the loose dvds as apposed to the boxset.

Also added is the F4F mini figures, some of the ASR figures, some of the new 20th anniversary plushies. Chances are the F4F ones will be in the new jazwares packaging and not the older sort.

And I have to laugh... the Super Sonic figure is sold out already. *thinks back to this old topic.*

Still no sign of the Eggman/Robotnik or most of the other stuff we'd really like to see.

don't bother, you won't get it till June anyway, even though Goodsmile themselves are releasing it at the end of this month, Ebay is your best bets my friend.
