I saw some of them, but not all of them or the Knuckles ASR RC toy. Regardless, looks like it's just my browser being daft. I refreshed the page and it only loaded the first 4 products this time. And yeah, some of those prices are OUCH!

I've not registered yet.

Any idea what this 'ring reward' system does? I'm guessing it's a "earn so many rings, get a certain amount of discount" affair?

I've no idea, when you sign up you get 10 rings as a gift, I think £1 = 1 ring for your points, but it'll most likely end up being something like

200 rings = £2 off your next purchase.

Just going to try and referal someone now so we should know if it's worth the hasstle or not.

Check out the inflation! WHOA!

Anyway, lot's of stuff to save up for there. Loving the posters too...
Just bring on the Toys section though! XD

I'm not seeing any prices above what I've seen in shops and SoS, doesn't seem that bad (OK besides the boombox that Hogfather pointed out....and most of the electronic gear)

I am however seeing some truly awesome item descriptions, Eggman and Sonic t-shirts for example

Quote

Inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)

Do you prefer the darker side of life? Do you like catching and weaponising fluffy animals? Then Eggman Industries wants you!

Dr Eggman might be a wrong 'un, but he certainly knows how do get his evil schemes going - creating crazy bots from harmless woodland critters. This design shows he has killer style too.

Quote

If you're heading to South Island, you want to make sure you're on the winning team, right? The guys people rely on and trust?

Then you want to be a part of Team Sonic - the fastest heroes on two legs. And, even if you're not a blue insectivore, you can still feel a part of videogame history with this sweet design.
I wouldn't be surprised if they got a fan to write these Posted Image I'd be even less surprised if it was someone like Dread, AAUK or T-Bird.

My favourite bit...

http://sonicmerchand...ic-boombox.html

Now look at the "related products." The only one is the Sonic Lunch box.

Well I guess the idea is you buy your CD player, listen to funky tunes whilst eating lunch? Is that how it works?

About the referals.

Oh wait a sec... Just took a look in my account section and I see that it says something about "First order" so it looks like you don't get any bonus rings unless they actually order/buy something.

So they'll be offering... Games I guess?

The lunch box is cheaper than in Toys R Us, but the drinks flask is £7.49 more than I got it for from Morrisons. Those headphones are looking mighty tempting, it's just that asking price!

Edit: ^ Maybe that's what you spend your reward rings on? Wallpapers, icons and the usual shit.

Either that or they're planning on doing a Club Nintendo and letting you spend your points on wallpapers and the likes. EDIT: Yeah, what BinaryRaptor said. Posted Image

And according to the "Referred Friends" page you get 5 rings not when your friend signs up... but the first time they make a purchase.

It looks like a solid website build... the content so far though... come on your taking the piss here!

Okay scratch that first comment, it's missing a few obvious bits that are really basic to website coding.

£35 for shipping!? From a website within the UK!?

lol is this toot coming from Mobius!? (Musical reaction)

Nevermind that I've got a better question. Why the hell are they adding a TAX charge on the end of it that doesn't come anywhere close to the right TAX figure?

Even if those prices don't include VAT, which should be the only TAX UK customers are paying, VAT is at 20%

Going off blue bloods bill.

Subtotal = 23.27 Added VAT would be £4.65

Shipping = 35 Added VAT would be £7

Total tax you should be paying if everything doesn't include VAT = £11.65

Conclusions.

Their website should not be live.

They're defrauding the customer.

They're defrauding the Tax man. (Major crime)

Either way, lets just add this to the list of glorious fuck ups of Merchandise here in the UK.

How far in to the checkout is that? The headphones are £24.99 with £5 VAT = £29.99 as stated. Will update with shipping amount shortly.

Earlier this evening (like an hour or two before you posted this, Cas) the website was completely offline. It would just direct you to a "are you the webmaster of this website?" page. My contact also said they were meeting with SEGA this coming Thursday to run through the proposed site. I think the website is live by accident at the moment. For example, were you wondering why none of the links or the search bar on the front page don't work? Because it's just an image! Check it:
Posted Image
It's clearly just a beta that shouldn't be up yet and probably isn't meant to be either.

EDIT@ Shadz: THERE IS NO LUMP ONLY ZUUL!

Website is offline now. It said shipping was £5 fixed rate, so when it looks like it charged Blue Blood £5 for each item he ordered, rather than a reasonable shipping amount. Rings are deducted from purchases too by the looks of it.
