Sonic Generations : General Hacking Thread

K guys, 3 extra acts per Zone, hopefully that means plenty of nods to respective games(maybe in the form of copying layouts´,since the Main ones are Original).Notice how the Bosses are out of place from the Zones, so maybe the Zones will be actual represantation of each game? They did say they wanted to celebrate all the 20 Years of Sonic.

The Emulator is awsome in the Idea of SSBB,by letting us play more obscure stages. A DC one would have been great as well, but oh well.

Informational Hub sounds like a futuristic type of enviorment, maybe we'll se a nod to the Chao Garden.

The Amount of Characters and Power-up sounds amazing.

In terms content this shaping up to be the Smash Bros. of the Sonic Series. Loving it!

Oh and the Drowning is even more epic now,yo.

Classic and Modern Super Sonic confirmed in-stage, both have songs in the music files.

I feel terrible for SEGA right now, but I want a music rip.

Give these to me now :|

Also Metal Sonic? As a boss? Does this mean I FINALLY get to school Nepenthe about Metal Sonic being a legitimate threat? Oh happy day!

He's a boss battle, just like Silver and Metal sonic

but Big and Omega on the other hand...

i know that but i don't see him as any of the power ups or stage partners

Didn't say you were defending other gimmicks; I listed them to add context to my point that the Werehog wasn't really that bad. Admittedly didn't read your second post, so silly me at being so defensive.

Also, CG cutscenes? So is that every cutscene in the game or every cutscene using that awesome Marza Planet animation???

My guess is CG as the others should be in-engine. This was a programmed list of when to load a movie, so if it's loading a movie file it would be pre-rendered.

"MODERN SKY SANCTUARY ZONE

Mission 1: VS Knuckles

Mission 2: 200% Boost

Mission 3: Balloon

Mission 4: Sonic Ghost

Mission 5: Fast Tempo"

Hidden Palace intro to Sky Sanctuary? I hope so!

(although I think they mean VS as in racing those characters, not fighting.)

I also spotted "Statue Room" in that long list. Perhaps playing the game unlocks trophy statues of various enemies and characters?

I'd love a massive room filled with statues of every known character. B)

Also Metal Sonic? As a boss? Does this mean I FINALLY get to school Nepenthe about Metal Sonic being a legitimate threat? Oh happy day!

That will only happen if we get a cutscene of either Sonic actually having sustained some serious damage from a fight with him, you know, like what happened in the OAV. Lulz, don't hold your breath on that. wink.gif

Even then, it wouldn't really excuse how pre-emptive such a conclusion would've been after 18 years.

@ Dusk Golem: If that's what that really means, oh happy day! I love those cutscenes! Having so many of them this time feels my little heart with gleeeeee. <333

Let's see how ign and other Critic's try to bash on this game because of replay value. It may have Few levels(for now  ) but it makes up for all the content inside those levels. Not to mention mini-games, and extra content to soon be revealed(secret bosses maybe). all this and a special edition(if they have one) and this will be hands down the best sonic game of the modern generation, maybe even crossing over to become a classic. :o

What do you mean? It won't be a surprise since we know already.

Ok im starting to get it now

The game is set in 3 areas that represent each era (Classic, Adventure, Modern)

Each area has 3 stages, a rival boss, and an actual boss (maybe something like Classic taking on the rival and Modern taking on the boss may happen)

Area 1- Classic

Green Hill Zone

Chemical Plant Zone

Sky Sanctuary Zone

Rival Boss- Metal Sonic

Boss- Death Egg

Area 2- Adventure

Speed Highway

City Escape

Seaside Hill

Rival Boss- Shadow

Boss- Perfect Chaos

Area 3- Modern

Crisis City

Rooftop Run

Planet Wisp

Rival Boss- Silver

Boss- Egg Dragoon (which I'm guessing equates to New EggRobo)

and then they face off against the final boss after getting all of the emeralds and red rings

Also I hope Cream fighting you twice is a typo instead of an actual thing, and I love it how the sega logo is its own cutscene

Wait, if you fight Shadow after Seaside Hill does that mean the boss battle takes place at the time of his OWN game? If so, that'd be friggin' hardcore.

Also it would be fun if each character got a different animations when sonic holds their hand to express themselves a bit more

Like Knuckles would reluctantly do it and get a sullen face while holding hands

Or Amy starting to blush and get all kissy faced with him when it happens

IT WAS CREAM DRIVING THAT TRUCK!

SEGA! Forget perfecting the physics and wasteful things like that!

MAKE SURE THE HOLDING HANDS PART OF THE GAME IS PERFECTED OR I WILL BOYCOTT THIS GAME

Guys.

You fight Metal Sonic in Sky Sanctuary, sillies.

Then the VS Shadow one should be after City Escape, the final Sa2 battle in the hero/dark stories.

=O
