Ugh. To be honest, I would think Casino Night would be included no matter what. Still, at least we get it. :P

Cool, didn't know you could preorder stuff from Gamespot now.

But seriously, I'm kind of disappointed that the preorder bonus is just a minigame and not an actual stage >_> I'm not sure if I should preorder this over Assassin's Creed: Revelations or not. At least that one comes with a bonus mission, character, and upgrades. Still, though..I do want Sonic Generations..ugh, I hate choices.

That's strange, I was actually in my local GAME today and saw nothing like this. Managed to get another 3 Generations posters out of 'em though. :P

I've been to three different GAME stores & can't get hold of these posters at any of them :(

Is there anyone kind enough here to send me 1? ;)

I got my poster from the 20th anniversary magazine ;)

Also about the exclusive mini-game.

Anyone knows if we'll be able to download it later from the store? It's bound to happen?

Like with Forklift Ryo in ASR. I'm sure you'll be able to get it eventually, you'll just have to pay extra.

I hate exclusive level/character/downloadable crap for preorder bonuses from retailers. :/ If it isn't something like a statue, or poster, etc then screw it.

Because it's stuff that should be included in EVERY copy of the game. It's like they took the time to make it all, then took it away just so each store could have a special reason for you to buy from them, it's bullshit.

Thats not really it though. The content, in this case, Casino Night pinball, was made as paid DLC. It just happens that GAME and Gamestop have made a deal with SEGA to allow them to give away a code for an early release of the DLC.

You see? You're not being cheated out of anything you know. You're being given something for free! AND before anyone else can get it! Isn't that something worth having?

Knowing SEGA the DLC is already on the disc. You just have to pay to unlock it ;).

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I think it's utter bullshit.

Doesn't really matter though as I don't do DLC anyway. Hmm Sonic Generations still isn't even listed on any of the Australian gaming retailer websites <_<

I hope that the majority of the DLC we get are zones that didn't make it into the game, based on level themes (i.e. City/Carnival Zone Pack - Spring Yard, Casino Night, Carnival Night, etc.) or based on the game (Sonic 1 DLC Pack - features all of the levels from Sonic 1 - remade!), and maybe some missions to boot with them too. There's a great hack of Sonic 2 (Sonic 2 - Secret Rings Edition) that features a whole bunch of missions to play (Super Sonic - reach the end of the zone as Super Sonic - rings drain faster, though; Escort - Finish the stage without leaving Tails behind or having him die; etc.) I will be really pissed off if all we get for DLC is more pointless missions for existing stages.

Then maybe Sega could later release a "Historic Edition" featuring all of those zones featured as DLC (one or more discs may have to be made for the 360/PC, though).

If Sega did that, then they would have a lot of time to work on the next Sonic game(s) after that, and I wouldn't care if it took three years.

I was like this <_< until the part with the extra disc, then I was like :D

Sounds like a great idea cuz I simply hate the idea of DLC and want an actual physical copy of the thing I am buying. This would be a good option for those of us like that. I'd love to see a whole bunch of levels that never made it, and as extra content that could be included in a later released "bigger" game I would pay full price for both the original and that when if it came out.

Wait, there's a vividly vibrant night time wonderland in a sonic game, and NO NiGHTS reference?

That's just as bad, if not worse. If they had something like that ready by the time the game is finished then it should just be included with the original purchase of the game. It's like it was made for the game but then it was taken out just so we would have to pay a little more. Far too many companies do this bullshit with DLC. DLC should be something original down the road from the games release. Not an extra mini-game, map, character, etc that releases a week after the game did.

Anyway sorry to go OT.

What ever happened with that new Sonic statue that was shown a few weeks ago? I was hoping we would get that as a preorder bonus since we got one for the 15th anniversary.

Nope. I think the Japanese ones were given away in claw machines at an Anniversary celebration event in Japan and the 1,000 First 4 Figures ones aren't being sold in any way. Instead they've been given to various members of the press, given away as prizes at various events like SoS and in competitions.

:/ Damn. Guess I'll just go with Amazon then since they'll likely give a credit and offer release date delivery. Couldn't care less about the pinball minigame.

Was in one of my local GAME's today and they have the pre-order DLC promotional box Vger's store had. I had a look at the back of the promotional box and it had the full details of the DLC pack on it. It's definitely the same pack GameStop's got.

The avatar costume is exclusive to Xbox 360 unfortunately. They should have done one for the PS3 Home avatars too though really.

Please let Gamestation have the pre-order bonus too. I pre-ordered the X360 and 3DS versions from there.

It's too bad that it's just a pinball mini-game and not a full fledged stage. If they were going to go ahead and create assets for Casino Night they might as well have created an actual level.
