Now that I think about it, I don't recall anyone asking about DLC during the interviews last year.

*Looks at EU PS Store update* So SEGA will fund DLC for a poor selling game like Binary Domain, but not for a game that has sold well like Sonic Generations?

And they wonder why Sega is in financial trouble.

They did acutally, quite a few time, but the response was always not at this time

They will not mention any DLC for this game until Episode 2 is done and dusted anyway. But I doubt they will release any DLC. Sega isn't like EA, Sony and Microsoft when they can tell you if there will be future DLC or not once the game is released (or even before the release).

Yeah I'm pretty pissed that the game with the best reviews and most DLC potential isn't getting any now. As much as I liked generations, it was just way too short. It was like buying a big fat bag of Doritos and getting mostly air, 9 full chips, and 90 crumbs. It was good, but I need a damn refill. Why did I get a refill for my fat stale bag of generic Sonic 06 chips but not generations?

You know after watching this guys view on dlc, I think this may be a reason why we aren't getting dlc. It makes sense actually. Especially where sega is financially right now.

Didn't someone here (I heard it from Sega Forums) said that SEGA will announce DLCs at the end of April? We're in May and nothing. If they don't announce something after Episode 2 release, I give up of my Ice Cap dream.

Yes, I am brining this topic back to life. Anyway so that TSSZ(yes i said it. don't leave yet!)rumor about dlc.Seems like something I could actually see doing. I mean two classics and two modern. One of the Classics is said to be Carnival night, and if I'm correct one of the Moderns should be Night Palace according to the 20th anniversary trailer.(the rumor also says that the stages will be all diverse) Now I know this is TSSZ and there sources are balls(Really? Segafag? they didn't even assume tis could be a troll?) But I mean, it could just be the lack of dlc news that's gotten me thinkin. I'm still taking this with a grain of salt, but still, this doesn't seem far out there for Sonic Team/Sega. So if it is true I hope we get:

Classic era: Carnival Night(S3)

Wacky Workbench or Stardust speedway(CD)

Modern: Kingdom Valley(06)or Sweet Mountain

and Night Palace

No. It's not worth bumping this thread over.

DLC isn't happening. I'm totally positive. If they released it I'll eat my socks. There's really no more discussion to be had unless we get some real, meaningful information. Otherwise, I say let it rest because this is all pretty baseless.

Wasn't there a list of possible DLC posted somewhere besides the one Sora brought up just now? I remember reading something about Dragon Road, Ice Cap, Starlight Carnival and such.

I'm still disappointed for the lack of Ice Caps in mah Generatiunhzzz. I'll definitely give up if nothing been announced June 23. How I wish a TSSZ's rumor could be real at least one time.

As Solly said, it's not gonna happen. Generations has already been well burried and any presence it had, outside of us rabbid fans, has long since gone. It would financially stupid for Sega to release anything more, particularly seeing as how expensive these massive 3D enviroments are to produce. At a stretch I could see some sort of mini-game like Casino Night, but even then it seems unlikely.

It's irritating though, possibly the best 3D Sonic ever doesn't get DLC, yet Sonic 06 did, and that was six years ago. Derp.

I don't know what sega has instore at E3 this year, but I think a good move WOULD be to release DLC for generations and hype it up at E3. Make an expansion pack to the game, sort of like GTA IV.

Lmao, like that is going to happen though.
