While I don't think anything they've programmed is particularly spectacular, that they've replicated '06 to this extent, that is, that the game is terrible because they've replicated '06's problems rather than solely because of their own mistakes, leads me to believe they're fully capable of making a good game. They just need to not have shit ideas.

Perhaps a better Sonic game in 2D then, maybe the first two Adventures.

Look at the poise, the grace, the magnificence! As always, Sean's skill with the hammer prove him to be a mighty rival to everyone's favorite pink hedgehog!

Wham! Wham! it goes, Who it hits nobody knows...

Man, that opens old wounds. Remember Sonic Adventure Remix? God i miss that project...soo much potentional Posted Image...

But yeah i agree that this project is crap itself but these guys do have talent to make a decent game, if they just get over this hyper-accuracy of theirs. Once this project is done I really can't wait to see what game they do recreate next. I'd love to see them tackle the adventure games as well.

I'll update this topic once we get another video or a demo of shadow's gameplay, i think we can let it rest for awhile.

That buzzing sound is annoying as hell!

Plus this makes Sonic Generations 3DS' straight line zones look interesting by comparison.

Hm, it looks so boring... and yet, so infuriating at the same time. Why would someone think that doing this is a good idea? I mean, the Mach Speed sections weren't fun in the original game, and it looks even more drab here!

Why did they add the Boost? That kinda takes away from that 'authentic' thing they were going for.

Wait....this game is still relevant to people?

Wasn't it already accepted that this was just Sonic 06 on a 2D plane? Nothimg more, nothing less?

Because the boost is in 2006 via the blue gem, they just added the effect from Unleashed. so its still accurate kind of.

Since when could Sonic know how to boost in Sonic 2006? Posted Image

He could do it via the Blue Custom Gem, but it didn't actually let you hurt anything in mid-boost.

I'll have to check this game out.
Been meaning to, but I think the textures needed more work and it should be zoomed in on Sonic a little bit more, kinda like how the advance games were.

I kind of agree that it's odd that they've decided to break the "authentic" thing again (but in a good way, like how they help you find the falling debris on the last boss).

But yeah the buzzing is really annoying lol.

I find it strange that people are even acknowledging this game anymore - it's become adamantly clear that the development of this game is fuelled almost exclusively with attention, no matter what kind. Honestly, like the game it spawned from, I think it's mostly in everyone's best interests if they simply forget the fucking thing exists.

Aw, that's not being fair; at least the Modern Sonic gameplay actually gives you the ability to stand still a good chunk of the time...

Well now, don't speak for everyone. As someone who tolerates the occasional go on 2006, I rather like this game as a novelty if nothing else.

I do too, but that's besides the point. By giving them attention, you're encouraging them to make more of it. And while I silently adore the so-bad-it's-good charm of the original '06, I don't really think there's anyone besides these guys out there that really think making more of it is a good idea. Especially in this case, where the design either gets blander or just more outright atrocious the more they seem to work on it.

Yeah I guess. Given the choice I'd much rather see these guys make something new but I'm still curious about how they'll adapt various things.
