About Me

Why am I a Sonic fan you may ask? I have been a huge Sonic fan ever since I was about 4 years old. I first got hooked on Sonic when I went over to my friend's house visit and hang out. Then he let me play with his Sega Genesis. Of course, we played Sonic the Hedgehog and ever since that day, Sonic found a permanent home within my heart. As the years went on I grew closer and closer to the Sonic franchise, I was later given my own Sonic game on Christmas day 1999, the game was Sonic CD for the PC and I treasured that game like gold. On that same day my same neighborhood friend got a Sega DreamCast and Sonic Adventure. I thought the game was simply incredible, me and my friend played the game for hours and hours until we finally got to the final Super Sonic story. The next year I was given my own Sega DreamCast to treasure, then the year after that I was able to get my hands on Sonic Adventure 2, I was absolutely amazed by the game and showed it to my neighborhood friend immediately and we had a great time playing the game for hours just as we did when we were 4 years old on the Sega Genesis.

Later my parents got divorced and I was hardly ever able to see my neighborhood friend. As the years went by, I continued to collect Sonic games and love them with all my heart. Now at the age of 17, I still see my old neighborhood friend every now and again but I've realized how much we have grown apart. He still enjoys Sonic a little, but not nearly as much as I still do. When I was 4 years old, playing Sonic games with him used to melt all my troubles away and fill me up with so much joy and they still do to this day. The Sonic franchise reminds me of the good times I had with my neighborhood friend and when my parents were together which is why I will continue enjoying Sonic’s adventures until the day I die. This is why I am a Sonic fan.

All old is good, all new is bad, anyone who disagrees is an idiot who ruins Sonic just by existing. "Nostalgia" is never treated like a welcome bonus, but as a divine mandate.

Sonic 3D blast, Sonic Spinball, Sonic Labyrinth, Tails Sky Patrol, Sonic Blast, Tails Adventure. These "Classic" games make Sonic 2006 seem like a godsend if you ask me.

If Sonic was real, I wonder what he would say about his so called "fanbase".-_-

Nothing really, I've been wanting to add you to my friends list ever since we met in the "Sonic is the 10th best black videogame character" topic. You added my Sonic as Barack Obama picture in your signature and you were the only person in the topic to understand my views on racial stereotypes. You really made my day and I consider you a great friend at the Sonic Stadium :).
