It's not so much that we don't want to make it a paid event, more the legal issues behind it. Again the legal side is my end, each year I've looked at the logistics, and basically we haven't had enough support from sources I can't name to be able to do this. Trust me when I say this would make our lives a lot easier, but it just wasn't possible this year.

Entry and safety was my job so any problems about this I'd rather you guys just send directly to me.

The venue was fully open at all times, we let people in when other people left for good, and we played it by sight, when the hall could safely fit more people inside, we let them in. At one point we basically threw out SEGA staff who were simply sitting on the balconies doing nothing and taking up space.

I realise people were disapointed, and we did everything we could to help you guys outside, the people who actually came outside to give you your comics and t-shirts were for the most part not even staff for the event, they were regular attendies who saw us struggling and I give a huge thank you to them. A huge and epic thank you goes to Jun who came to help me on his own break time to try and do what he could for you guys, so like many of us he didn't get a chance to breath all day.

As good as the number of people we got in, I do realise there were somewhere around three to four hundered people who queued and ultimatly never got in, all I can do is appologise, I tried my best and failed. I also realise trying to explain why things happened as they did is ultimatly pointless as well, so basically send any of your complaints to summerofsonic@googlemail.com, due to the sheer number I have had already I do not promise to reply to them, but I will pass on anything signficant we can use in the future.

In Topic: Question regarding tickets

Sadly there is no way to get you a ticket at this point. You can come down on the day after 11 to try and get in if we have enough room, however this is not garunteed.

Right since I'm the one you'll be dealing with at the front door this is what I suggest.

First bare in mind that if everyone who has a reservation shows up, you won't get in, full stop, it is unlikely but it is possible. We are fully booked.

If you want to try your luck without a reservation slip, the first piece of advice I can give is don't even show up till 10, if you get to the door before then we'll simply tell you to go away. Even at 10 if there is anyone in the queue who has a reservation, regardless of if they are before or after you in the queue they have priority of entrance, so more relastically there is no point in you turning up till around 11 at the very earliest even assuming a good number of people do not show.

Bare in mind however that reservations reserved till 1pm, so it will depend hugely on numbers, if say 99% of reservations show up, we will most likely keep that 1% reserved until 1pm.

Realise that there is no garuntee you will get in on the day, we will do our best, but that's all we can do.

So time, don't bother before 10, heck realstically I don't want ANYONE turning up before about 0830ish because it makes my life more difficult, but I already know that won't be the case.
