    [HACK] Fas' Sonic Generations Mods!

http://youtu.be/8JJB2D_2xDE Oh yeah, this is happenin'! So yes, I've got into the modding scene. I'd like to thank KatamariParadox for getting me interested, Sky the Destroyer for all the help he has given, same goes for SonicHyuga. Here and there, TGE and CorvidDude have helped me and that's all for now. I'm also helping TGE with Pyramid Cave Modern which he last touched almost half a year ago. (Objects, some polish and recording of videos) And then, the last thing I can show for now is this. I'm helping out SuperRiderTH with his Grand Metropolis mod, as he's gonna be doing splines for Frog Forest. So here's me hoping you liked the stuff I showed, I'm just a beginner now so yeah, if ya like my stuff, likes here or on Youtube are appreciated, same goes for subscriptions! I hope to be able to give you guys exclusive previews, by time or by whatever, if I can in the nearby future! And feedback is appreciated!

    Mortal Kombat

We all OBVIOUSLY know about Mortal Kombat, and if you don't then you at least have heard of it at least once. Mortal Kombat is a semi-realistic pure fighting game series developed by NetherRealm Studios (ex-Midway), it is known for its brutal gameplay, the gore-filled Fatalities and totally sexual characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, Kitana and others. The first Mortal Kombat game was released in 1992 as a rival to the also-released Street Fighter to positive reviews, getting praised for the use of real life actors and the never-seen-before brutality that has become a trademark of the series. From the insanely hard Mortal Kombat 2, to the glorious Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the above-average 3D Mortal Kombat 4, the series has become one of the most popular fighting games in the history of videogames. But after Mortal Kombat 4, the series entered a hiatus due to negative reviews of games like Mortal Kombat: Special Forces and Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero. But then, out from heavens came Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, introducing sexy graphics and a new upgraded gameplay from Mortal Kombat 4 including the new Fighting Styles and weapons. Mortal Kombat was back baby. From Deadly Alliance to the godlike Deception, to the grand finale Mortal Kombat Armageddon (which ended in the death of all the characters with an exception of Shao Kahn and Raiden), the Mortal Kombat series decided to start all over again with the semi-reboot Mortal Kombat 9. Mortal Kombat 9 returns to its roots, pure 2D playability along with sexy graphics and characters and the most gore-filled bloody experience never seen before in a Mortal Kombat game. Which also ended in the death of nearly most of the Mortal Kombat cast so we have yet to see how MK10 will be like. So yeah, talk about Mortal Kombat here if you may.

Sonic Advance - The Forgotten Series?

Advance 1: Pretty good, but whoever designed those Special Stages and the ways to get to them was either and asshole or an idiot. Advance 2: It's okay, could've been better. Special Stages were even worse and so were the methods of getting to them. Advance 3: "Lets try to make this game suck as much as possible, the first 2 were well made, we can't be doing that anymore" -DIMPS board meeting.

    The Pokémanz Thread

Junichi Masuda revealed on his Twitter that he had filmed an episode of Pokemon Smash, and since the episodes are recorded a month or so in advance, it’s likely the episode he taped will air in January. Masuda usually appears on Pokemon Smash to make game announcements. Get hyped.

Dolphin doesn't upscale. It renders the games at a higher resolution. Difference between this: Which is a 320x240 game displayed (or upscaled, whatever term you would like to use) at 1080p (this is what the PS3 does for PSX/PS2 games). And this: Which is a 320x240 game rendered at 1080p (this is what PC emulators, and I think the Xbox 360, do). All anti aliasing would have done is clean up jaggies, but it wouldn't have made the games look smoother so much as blurrier (that's basically what the smoothing option on the PS3 does for older games). Upscaling generally only really improves the graphics on games with spritework and polygon mixes (think 2000-era 2D fighters and platformers) because it makes the spritework "pop" more. That was probably a TV issue. VC games run at the native resolution (a Genesis game on a US Wii would run at 240p when run through component cables with progressive scan on, rather than the 480i it would run with composite cables), and very few modern HDTVs accept a signal below 480i without some sort of problem. LCDs in particular hate sub-480 resolutions, so if you have one that will accept one and display it natively (like I do) consider yourself lucky and cherish that TV.

Oh, new one. Unpopular at that. I like Iizuka, I do question him at times, like his decisions with Shadow and Sonic 4 but I respect him for bring the series back and finally getting a good idea on how it should move on. It can be improved but yeah, he really sorta nailed it with Colors, even though the person who works on Unleashed really should've stayed, he should've been sub-director of Sonic Team or something, haha. Oh and um... as much as I respect Naka-san... I don't really like him. I don't know why but yeah. :/

Well, I'm going to start by saying things went better than what some reactions made me expect... Now let's get it on! Overanalysing is part of the not so noble gato code I just made that up... Episode 62 (or 61?): Spike At Your Service Strangely (and I'm not sure if I'm using the right word here but I can't find a better one ATM), this turns out to be quite one-sided since Twi is more than okay (if not a bit uninterested) with letting Spike go and fulfill his honorable duty, Spike returns to the farm and starts wreaking havoc again, and this time it's going to be permanent... Second act starts with Spike unintentionally finishing his recreation of the Baked Bads Incident, AJ once again tries to convince him that this is was enough helping for the next decade but Spike pleads and insists to let him fulfill his code, because that is what he is and if he doesn't he would never be able to see himself as Noble... After this little show of pity AJ decides to keep going with it, and after some (hilarious) considerations she somehow ends up sending the... Pie to Rarity, who tries her dearest to not puke at the mere presence of the culinary sin, and takes an insignificant bite of it... That scene was awesome and I might go a bit deeper onto that later but yeah, After commanding Spike to clean some dishes Rarity demands some answers to this, and AJ delivers, right before Spike makes some more disasters and Rainbow Dash pops in... I know what most of us learned about Rainbow in this scene, but am I the only one thinking AJ's reaction is because she's also working on a novel (and wasn't supposed to be known about yet) After some more friendly chatter Rainbow suggests that what she should do is task Spike with some impossible task (not dangerous, just a frustratingly hard one) so the dragon gives up before finishing (or maybe consider his debt paid after doing such a thing), and so she makes up a nice story, usually AJ helps her pile some haystacks so she can smash them in a sheer display of awesomeness, but since today she feels like testing her kung fu level she's going to use rocks, and tasks the purple dragon to make a huge pile of them... Things don't turn out quite as expected when Spike actually manages to pull it off, Fluttershy joins up, makes a smart suggestion about just telling Spike doesn't need to help with anything and stays for the showdown, since now Dash will have to keep up her words (actually, she doesn't have to, but she does it anyway, and it's awesome)... A little concussion later AJ tries to follow Flutter's suggestion but Spike is way to bent on helping her, he concludes that since AJ doesn't need any help then that means there is stuff to do, but the farmer just doesn't know about it yet, like singing her favorite song (about dragons) or breathing... Getting tired of this unnecessary helping Applejack says she's going to find something else for Spike to do... The next scene Jackie is in the library trying to talk with Twi but the purple unicorn seems to be too caught in her reading to pay any attention to her, AJ sees no other choice but to commit a terrible crime against organisation to call for her friends attention and so she does it... Once she caught Twilight's interest the farmer starts telling her about the day's events (that apparently, Twi took part of without even realizing), AJ asks the purple unicorn if she can help her now but apparently the Dragon Code is way to important for Spike just to ignore it after a talk, but not everything is lost, Twi knows a way to return Spike's honor without destroying the barn in the process (again =P) The mane 6 assign Spike another impossible task (counting every blade of grass in the whole orchard) to keep him entertained while they discuss a way to make the noble dragon save AJ's life, Pinkie has an... Interesting idea of her own... How did Rare got in there? XD But AJ has a plan of her own, she will be attacked by a Timber Wolf! The last act opens with the plan's details, Rarity and Pinkie will contribute with acting, Fluttershy and Rainbow will provide sound effects and Twilight will handle a fake Timber Wolf, AJ will pretend to be stuck in some rubble and Spike will try to save her from the wooden monster, paying his life debt. Pinkie and Rarity add a lot to this scene both with their own brand of humor, but I'll shave it for later (huehuehuehuehue)... Spike arrives before Rarity gets to finish her piece, the mane 6 quickly get into their positions and execute the plan, Dash starts by doing a... Quite fearsome growl (that might have ended up calling for something), Pinkie and Rarity appear and scream in terror, Pinkie does it while walking calmly with a smile on her face and Rarity eats the scenery like some sort of dramatic pig... Before joining Pinkie in the calm trot (learn from the masters AJ) XD. Twi brings the fake wolf to life and opens it's mouth to unleash a mighty roar, except that Dash is enjoying this way too much, luckily Flutters sends her right back on track and now it's AJ's turn to do her part so she... err... She tries her best to sound convincing but soon after that Spikes realizes this is nothing but a farce, and it's all because the impostor forgot one little detail, Timber Wolves have a very distinguishable breath. Spike doesn't even get to finish his exposition though, because right behind him 3 real Timber Wolves appear! There is a bit of running away but Applejack manages to smash all 3 of them with a rock, unfortunately she also falls and gets her leg stuck between some rocks, to make things worse the Timber wolves somehow restructurated themselves and even made a fusion dance turning them into a very big beast. Things look grim for the farmer and she starts screaming Spike to leave her there, but our purple dragon refuses, grabs a pebble and throws it to the giant wolf, who happens to get stuck with it, Spike and AJ use this time to escape (though it wasn't necessary because the beast choke itself to pieces)... Now, this scene was... Bad... I mean... Let me explain myself, first of all there is the little obvious detail that Spike can breathe fire and how it would have been awfully useful at that moment (even if it wouldn't work for some reason, at least show he tries), each of the mane 6 have more than enough skills to get rid of the 3 Timber Wolves (even if it's just by grabing something metalic and making loud noises with them since that seems to scare the Wolves just fine) yet they just run away like your average Fluttershy, even if one could say the big one would have been a different story both Rainbow and Twi are high enough in the power scale to put up a fight, alas, they were ditched for the sake of letting Spike save AJ... The other things that irks me is that Spike was able to carry all the rocks to make the tower yet it still struggles to lift the little pebbles that AJ got stuck into, and he only manages to do it by using a branch that would most likely break rather than be of any help, and that's Spike, the fact AJ couldn't lift it made it even worse for me... Was all of that even necessary? the Wolf was already dead by the moment Spike threw the pebble at it so why bother with these extra scenes? Spike already saved AJ's life and the whole scene would have been a lot more believable if AJ really got stuck (in a sizable rock) and weren't rescued til the rest of the mane 6 or Tank got back. This one is the first of 3 big issues I'll talk about this chapter, which is a shame because other than these 3 this is a really good episode... But anyway, Spike and AJ escape, the debt has been paid and they agreed to follow AJ's Noble Apple Code from here on... THE END. Now, before we go to the character review let's talk about the second big issue I have with this chapter, The Noble Dragon Code... The show barely mentioned this and was only used to give a reason for Spike to act so clingy towards AJ despite the farmers request to not do it. The mere existence of such a thing with not previous mention and no clear explanation of what the thing even is irks me to say the least, and doesn't really seems like something it's going to be referenced in the future (but I might be wrong, Pinkie Sense came, went and came back in a similar fashion after all)... But that won't stop me from trying to make sense out of it right? Please bear in mind that this is nothing but pure fanwank, the show never had an explanation about any of this issues and in the remote chance that you agree with what I'm about to say you shouldn't really use it as a way to defend the episode in any future argument, feel free to use it as your interpretation of the issue though. :V So... Dragon Code! The moment we get introduced to it is when Spike tries to give AJ a reason as to why is he so insistent in helping her, and looking at how complex and ancient this thing doesn't seem to be... Well... it's not really hard to reach to the conclusion that Spike made it all up. Which is nice, he set some rules from himself to prove he isn't like all the dragons he met so far... But that doesn't explain why Twi treat is as such a serious issue, like if it were something absolute and there was no way she could change it. First thought that came to my mind (with the previously established mindset of Spike making the whole thing up) is that Twi was being a supportive big sis, Spike took this code of his very seriously and she find this noble treats in her surrogate younger brother admirable, and treats them with the respect she thinks they deserve... But still that's a bit hard to swallow for me so I'm going to go deeper into this little issue. You might have noticed that every time Spike mentions the dragon code he doesn't talk about an absolute set of rules everydragon should follow, the moment he introduces it is as "Spike the Dragon's code" and as the episode goes our purple scaled friend makes very clear that the code is his, that it's what he is and what he stands for... Sounds pretty personal to me... But how does this affect what I said about Twilight? Well, if you hear what the purple unicorn said when The Code was brought up you'll notice some things... Notice something? Twilight makes not mention of "Spikes Dragon Code", she doesn't say anything about the code belonging to Spike at all, which sounds kind of contradictory to what the dragon said until you also notice that the unicorn didn't mention THE Dragon Code either, the lack of an article removes the idea of only being 1 dragon code... But wait! The second mention of the code in this dialogue uses an article! Now you have to take a look at the whole sentence, Twi says "How important THE dragon code is for A dragon", she uses both an article and a description that points towards the individuality of both dragon and code making the whole thing personal, like how Spike was trying to do from the very beginning. So what's my conclusion? There is no such a thing as an absolute Dragon Code! Each dragon makes his own code! A set of rules that will follow during his entire life! And any failure in doing so would bring shame towards his self! o/ There are still questions that I can't figure out by myself, like why did this code wasn't in effect until after the Crystal Empire (last time I remember Spike got his tail saved without being in debt towards Shinning Armor and Cadence), which could be more related to dragon growth (but I can't make up an excuse right now as for how) and why this didn't get mention until this very same episode yet both Twi and Spike seem to have done plenty of research about it... I'd like to think there is an episode out there what would answer this questions (the missing episode 8? The other Spike episode that's coming?) but that's just wishful thinking, and going into what's left of the season thinking like this will only lead to further disappointment. And those are my 2 cents about the code, now let's keep moving! It's opposite day in Asia So... Closing words:

One thing I will say though is snowball and firework spam isn't fun at all. I swear I get hit by them unreasonably all the time, unless I'm either seriously lagging or a mile ahead. This game, like many other kart racers, suffers from the fact that once you're away from the pack you're given an unfair advantage or unfair disadvantage.

Yes, interlaced looks noticeably worse than progressive. Once you've switched from composite to component cables or higher there's just no turning back.

Right you guys, Think it's best we get this going a.s.a.p, so I'll be the host for this years Art Collaboration, and Rabid-Noodles will be my Co-Host, we're going to look into a theme for this year, I have an idea in mind but I must discuss it with Rabid first to get his approval and to discuss possible other idea's for the theme. We're not going to aim as high as last year's because it was a struggle to fill so many character slots, but we are going to get more involved for the year coming because I possibly want to have the final image as some sort of Huge Banner at the Summer of Sonic 2013, which means deadlines must be hit! So stay tuned, and please join when I get this up and running! okie dokie peeps... THEME SET. Sonic Through Time What do I mean? Simple, I'll list a bunch of Sonic games and for whichever you choose you must draw that Sonic from that era, the main focus is SONIC -THROUGH - TIME So every image must have Sonic as it's main centre spot, however you can draw other characters FROM THAT GAME with Sonic to show off a little bit more :'D, you may also draw scenery too, what I'd like you to do though is try to at least imitate that Era's style be it the style it's drawn in or the way it's coloured/painted or both. i.e. Sonic 1 - Draw Classic Sonic standing in green hill zone i.e.2 - Sonic Adventure - Draw Sonic in SA style, and apply SA colouring However we aren't looking for a complete coloured piece, we want Sonic as a main focus here, so if you're planning on drawing Scenery/enemies/objects etc. please keep it simple. i.e. Sonic CD - CD Styled Sonic with some of those flowers around him i.e.2 - Sonic 2 - Sonic & Tails only. etc. We're going for a sort of Generations White Space sort of look, where the background is all white, but the hubs are just chunks of Greenhill that we remember etc. TL;DR - Basically the iconic parts from each game, just not too much. Format MUST be PNG's and must be as big as you can make it (well not too big) so we have nice large, high quality images to work with when we eventually get to printing stage for the banner. SIZES OF 3000x3000 RESOLUTION AND HIGHER, PNG IS A MUST! TRANSPARENT OR WHITE BACKGROUNDS ONLY. Time Schedules will be TIGHT, and i'm not kidding if we're going to pull this off for SoS we've literally only got like 5-6 months of preparation to get this thing done and there is lots of slots to fill up, so know I will be keeping a strict watch over you all, not because i'm a bitch but because we really have to get this into motion and me and John really don't have time for time wasters. If you feel you can't complete your image on time, don't take a slot, simple. If you run into problems that restrict you from completion on time, i may (and i mean MAY) issue you EXTRA time to complete it so your work isn't for nothing, however if you simply give up, you must contact either me or Rabid-Noodles IMMEDIATELY to let us know so we can find someone else to do it, or to fill it in ourselves. In the mean time I will be checking total costs of creating a banner, and if it's not too much I'm sure I can fit the bill, if not I will be opening a Paypal Donation pool to help out with collecting the necessary funds to create this piece. If you don't want your art to be used on the banner please don't join, I'm doing this as part of the community , gathering Sonic fans to Collaborate on something we can all look at and appreciate and to give back to SEGA for giving us this series to love and cherish. Don't post them here like the previous one, PM them to me or Rabid-Noodles and we'll save them in our super secret folder! Now the nit and grit is out of the way, lets list those games shall we? Resident Evil 6

So knowing that this game wasn't that great I decided to get this for christmas since I like the RE series and knew eventually I would play this. I didn't know I'd be putting this on the same level of bad as Final Fantasy 13-2. I started up the game and find myself in the future as Leon and 'girl who almost looks like a guy' in what I presume is the tutorial stage, only I say presumed tutorial as the game introduces me to none of the mechanics I'll be using in the game but does offer me tons of QTE's and one button comments for scripted events, I then took a ride in a helicopter and then went back in time to how it all began. So I see's a man go all zombie and leon has a bad case of amnesia as he seems to have forgotten that you can't talk to zombies, then again I don't remember him having a long chat with the Will Smith zombie in Resident Evil 2 before he blew his head off. I'm now walking painfully slowly through a school looking for this blokes daughter, I want to go through this door, but I have to wait... what am I waiting for? I'm waiting for this NPC who is gonna die in the next quarter of an hour to open the door, why am I waiting for him? Because for some reason Leon can't open this door, only this NPC can open the door. That is this NPC's job, Leon must not do that NPC's job or else he won't get paid. Leon and girl who almost looks like a guy are now.... .. ... going to a church I guess... because... ... .. .. the plot demands it. As I decide that the gun shooting mechnics in the game are completely shit and resort to kung fu moves on the zombies I can't help but shake the following thought.... who exactly is my partner and why exactly should I care about her? No really. in RE5 Sheva was introduced to you right away, you knew why she was working with you and you built up a relationship with her before she shot you in the back. This woman is with you... because... .. ... .because the plot demands it! So off we go through the school looking for the way out, still looking for the way out... and I notice the key difference between this game and RE 4/5. RE 4/5's battles: Large areas which you can see enemies, you can move around the battle area and shoot and develop some kind of tactics to your movements. Even dark areas, enemies can be seen and hitting various body parts has an effect. RE 6's battles: Let's fit as many Zombies as we can into one room and have all the lights off so you just have to shoot randomly hoping you'll score a critical hit and not get cheaply hit by a zombie on the ground. Even with the ingame brightness set at max the game is stupidly dark, maybe it's doing that to hide just how bad it is? So I'm now on the streets and leon has a flashback to RE 2 and it suddenly becomes clear that we're never getting an RE 2 remake, we're getting this. Although it is quite cool even if you can see the various trucks and ambulances coming a mile off. I like how the zombies are clutching tools in this game now... some are holding knifes, others are holding wooden blanks and some are armed with... assault rifles... and they have the accuracy of SAS snipers...? You might be saying, 'well it does make it a little more interesting, the zombified swat teams are still holding their guns...' whilst thats true and I did think it was a nice touch, it did get utterly stupid when later on in the same chapter and ambulance crashes and you distinctly see the swat team inside it bend down and pick up their guns... later on one guy in the cathedral had a machine gun, turned into a zombie... started shooting as the zombie... I killed him... only for another zombie to pick up his gun and start shooting.... Have I mentioned fat zombie yet? Fat zombie appears in the games 29th 'fill a room with NPC's and enemies and hope you hit something' sequence, he takes tons of ammo to go down, at this early stage in the game you only have a handgun and a shotgun. Your shotgun rounds have more or less all gone thanks to super zombie who was introduced in the games 28th fill a room with NPC's and enemies sequence. When you eventually take him down you then escape on a bus.... only to encounter ANOTHER fat zombie, but heres the kicker, if you run out of ammo you might as well die since you can't hit him with melle attacks. So we now enter Call of Duty World at War graveyard, I call it that because like World at War the enemies don't stop respawning until you leave it. Only unlike the graveyard in RE 4, this one is void of all atmosphere and just looks like they ordered it from the big book of videogame graveyards and added rain effects to attempt to convince people that the game had an atmosphere. Oh hey a puzzle! Lets see how they'll test my noodle! 'Push the buttons on the statues... before they shoot you...' I'm now underground looking for someone named Deborah, I don't know who this woman is, I don't know if she's important to the plot, but thats ok, because for the past 4 hours I've been stuck with this other woman who I know nothing about so why should anything change now? MINECARTS! I'm in a minecart whats that low looking... BONK! Outch that hurt... ok so I have to push Square and X to duck no problem I'll keep it held down this time... BONK! Outch that hurt.... Ok so I have to push it just before I hit it.... ok here we go *pushes buttons* BONK! outch that hurt. Hey! I did it at the right time! This boss fight is incredible! I've done the same thing almost 3 times now run around in a circle whilst these NPC characters kill it for me, why do I even need to be here at all when ADA and girl who nearly looks like a guy can do all the work? Uh oh more minecarts... BONK! Outch that hurt... Well eventually I kill Deborah, I still don't really know why she was in the game but I'm sure that this random cut scene will explain everything.... Oh so girl who looks like a guy is an agent... hey wait a second... why didn't she report earlier that the secretary of stage was a nasty man? At this point I decided to stop playing and come on SSMB to tell you my initial impression of it. Resident Evil 6 is a terrible game made by twats. If Sonic 06 is manipulating glitches to progress through the game, RE 6 is manipulating the camera whilst someone else plays the game, because for the vast majority of the game I don't feel like I'm playing a game, I feel like I'm watching someone else do something and I'm just controling the camera. The game is so dark that I can't see most of the enemeis, when shooting, I really don't know why theres options to shoot other body parts since it does nothing. Why even bother with handguns when the whole game feels like it was designed to be played using shotguns.... then again why even use guns when all what Leon needs to do is use KUNG FU to defeat the undead, that won't have any long term problems.

    PS Vita

Here's what lies the problem really. Most great Vita titles can also be bought on the PS3. That soon has to change. No wait, it has to change now if possible. I know the cross-features between the PS3 & Vita can make your experience with them much better but for Vita's sake that has to stop and Vita must have exclusives for itself. We need: God of War Vita Sly Cooper Vita (NOT Thieves of Time, because that's a PS3 title too) Ratchet & Clank Vita (Not Frontal Assault) Killzone Vita Gravity Rush Sequel Tales of Hearts/Project Diva localized (Put it live in the PS Store if want to avoid any extra costs!) Any great 3rd party exclusives And these games must not turn out like Declassified. Please. The Vita needs its own identity. I see no identity if it continues to feed off the same games the PS3 is also getting.

    What is Sonic to you?

Something that I find thoroughly delightful except the odd things that aren't thoroughly delightful like '06, Chronicles, Archie and Underground but I don't let those awful parts of the franchise impact my enjoyment of it. at the end of the day, they're just things to be disregarded. I adore this franchise. I freaking adore it. From the mostly wonderful characters especially Sonic in particular to the consistently fantastic music (Except Chronicles obviously) to the fascinating world the games are set in. Angel Island? Molecurpea? The United Federation? South Island? Westside Island? Apotos? Spagonia? I could go on. And the sense of speed that no other game can truly emulate. I even love collecting the merchandise and attending Summer of Sonic There is so much in this franchise that grabs my full attention and affection. Games, cartoons, music, merch, fan events. I have such a deep degree of regard for it that I have written/I write for two highly acclaimed Sonic websites; Here and Concept:"Mobius", extending/having extended my affection and knowledge of the series to them.

There's three reasons I'm against Gen III remakes- 1- The last thing that'll breathe fresh air into the series is yet more remakes. 2- If they're part of Gen V then they'll be on DS, which isn't necessary anymore. And they can't exactly be Gen VI without new games coming out first. 3- There'll be more remade generations than original ones.

The thing about game development is that it's a vicious cycle. No hardware sales equals no games or bad games.

Sonic Colors's graphic's suck? WTF are you talking about? They sure as hell top Mario Galaxy's graphics, and it goes without saying that this is on a Wii instead of the 360 or PS3, i.e. it's not known for making stellar graphics like those two consoles. There's a lot to criticize about Colors, but that definitely isn't one of them.

I did too. Honestly, calling him dumb from his rename alone is just silly. And there's not much else to criticize either since the Advance games always shorted out on story and you wouldn't even pay much attention to whatever narrative it had anyway.

You can do either since the game represents both! That's totally fine! Enjoy doing the style, it's pretty fun! Free Riders is Free, as for Transformed...? hmm.. you'll have to wait and see~ I need to book you in for something in case someone chooses said game you're working on before you show it.

possibly one of the funniest gags in the whole thing. Frieza Planet 419 has a population full of spoiler spouting morons (although they aren't really spoilers since everyone's seen them already) LOL.

    The Pokémanz Thread

Whatever this announcement is, I hope it can rekindle my interest in the series. Pokémon is built on an unchanging formula. It works, but after 5 Generations of it (including 4 Generations of 3 clone games, with 2 Generations being remade and the most recent Generation having clone sequels), I'm gagging for something new. It's gotta be a fresh new look for Gen VI or a Wii U game following in the creative footsteps of Colo and XD. Otherwise I won't be interested will be interested but will vehemently deny it before purchasing on day one.

Remember that castle drawing I did last page? The one when I was trying to work on my background drawings? Well, I hate it, and it sucks. Here's a better one.

    They made Sonic 4.

I really liked the series, but I feel the reputation seems to go up or down for some reason with the fanbase. One day everybody will praise it. The next day, it is "Dimps trash". Personally, I thought it was a really good game. Leveling up Chaos was a lot faster in here.

    What is Sonic to you?

You aren't supposed to sit on hedgehogs, Solkia.

Hmm? AAAAAHHHH!! I'm torn between Knuckles Chaotix, Secret Rings and Black Knight... Okay, I'm gonna pick Sonic and the Black Knight because it has a special place in my heart and also features a new and original art style for me to try out. I imagine you knew I'd show up eventually. lol

Whoever told you that doesn't have the facts, or is some sort of fanboy. It's the exact same game as the PS3 and 360 versions, except there's some extra game modes and the possibility of off-TV play.

Sonic Advance - The Forgotten Series?

BTW, does Gemerl seem like the poor man's Metal Sonic to anyone? You could replace him with Metal and (aside from the last cutscene) nothing would change. What was Gemerl doing in Eggman's boss machines anyway?

That, yeah. I'm certain there will be some side game thing that has Wii U stuff that will sell assloads of copies with minimal effort on Sega's part to market it, and I would in fact be more surprised if Sega didn't announce one in the next couple of months to cash in on early Wii U adopters and the dearth of exclusive games on the system so far (just like Secret Rings did). But as far as them throwing their entire weight behind a title a la Unleashed and then putting it on the Wii U only... no way.

Sonic Advance - The Forgotten Series?

Sonic Advance is a fine game and I do enjoy a playthrough very rarely. Sonic Advance 2 is very love-it-or-hate-it. I love it, partly because I got it at a very pleasant time in my life, and completely out of the blue too (I had no idea a sequel even existed until I saw it in a shop one day). Sonic Advance 3 I WANT to love but argh it has so much cheap difficulty and the unmemorably huge n' fast level designs SAdv2 introduced lose their charm when extended to three acts per zone. They tried to find a middle ground between Adv1 and Adv2 with some slower segments but most were just flow-breaking rooms with moving platforms activated on timer switches. Despite being slower than SAdv2 there were a ton more cheap difficulty spikes too. All in all though at least the one consistent thing about these games is that the music is utterly A-class stuff. It's a crying shame we never got OSTs of these with improved sound quality. I would love for them to release a "Sonic Advance Collection" for the 3DS sometime, containing the Advance trilogy, Sonic Pinball Party, Sonic Battle, and Sonic Pocket Adventure for NeoGeoColor. Maybe throw in ChuChuRocket or some other lil' SEGA GBA games as unlockables.

I like the advanced games alot. I think (even though small) one of my favorite things is the after images sonic creates when he reaches full speed. Which started in Advanced 2. Looks real freakin' cool.

While we are still on the subject of Colors: Eggman's P.A. Announcements are the funniest parts of the game, and I wonder why the rest of the humor doesn't match up to it.
