  • Palm PDA 'SEGA Classics' Games To Be Released on Cartridge

Remember the SEGA Game Gear games that were made available on Palm Tungsten T PDAs last month? Well, Palm and SEGA's Mobile division have worked to make those same games playable on a wider range of devices, as well as release a card that includes all the games on a single physical medium.

As well as the high-end Tungsten T series, the range of five GG games - Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Super Columns, Shinobi and Shining Force: Sword of Hajya - are now available to download on the Zire 71 and Tungsten C 'palmtops'. It'll still cost you $19.95 per game.

If you want most of the games to play on the go, it sounds like the game card may be the best way to go. Produced by a company called 'Mobile Digital Media', the "PalmPak SEGA Classics Card" will be available in retail stores in the US later this month for just $29.95. For that, you'll get all of the games with the exception of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. According to a press release about this, Mobile Digital Media plans to make a 'SEGA Classics' series, so expect more of these to be made.

The Sonic Stadium may link to retailers and earn a small commission on purchases made from users who click those links. These links will only appear in articles related to the product, in an unobtrusive manner, and do not influence our editorial decisions in any way. All proceeds will go to supporting our community and continued coverage of Sonic the Hedgehog. Thank you in advance for your kind support!
