Take this with a truckload of salt. There's a rumour doing the rounds that Sonic the Hedgehog could appear on Nintendo's Game Boy handheld.
Of course, Sega is a first-party games company, so it's not likely that they would put their flagship franchise on a competitor's platform. But, when reaching out to Sega of America, Daily Radar reports that the company admitted that Game Boy is not strictly a competitor against the Dreamcast. And in fact, Sega has partnered with SNK to make a Sonic game for the Neo Geo Pocket Color.
Still, Sega of America has cast doubt onto the rumour by stating that they have not heard anything on their side about any Sonic titles hitting Game Boy. The plot thickens...
