Word has it that Sonic the Hedgehog will actually be a very well hidden character in Nintendo's upcoming brawling game for Gamecube, Super Smash Bros. Melee. Nintendo and Sega refused to comment on the rumor, so we'll see where it goes from here.

Does anyone here notice a general decline in sonic's running animation (and subsequently animation polish as a whole in sonic games)? His run looked great in generations and even better in lost world but forces it started to look more stiff, his quills didn't flow properly and his arms looked static. Frontiers is literally the same animation ripped from forces. I don't know how you mess up something so simple and something that was already more or less perfected in past games.· 2 replies
