You might remember the existence of a mysterious 'Giant Egg' in a release list from SEGA last month. Well, now we know what it actually is - it's a brand new 3D platform game from Sonic Team and Yuji Naka called 'Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg'.
According to a press release announcing the game (via Gamespot), you'll be controlling a character called Billy "who must save a once magical kingdom from an evil king who is threatening to plunge it into an eternal night."
"Players will roll eggs around the world as they progress, using them to solve puzzles and fight enemies. Eventually, they'll be able to hatch magical creatures from them that will enhance Billy's abilities." Sounds eggs-quisite. Heh heh heeeeeh.

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is planned for a release in the fall, and will be a Nintendo Gamecube exclusive.
