Okay, back the fuck up, this comic is outright wrong.
Here, it suggests that Jet rejects keeping treasure as it's worthless to him compared to racing and adventuring. In Sonic Riders, he's only convinced to keep looking for the Babylon treasure when Wave convinces him that there could be profit from it, and his Sonic Channel bio outright states that one of his likes is treasure.

    Pictured: Not caring about treasure.
The punchline doesn't really work when it contradicts their character. :/

Dude, stop shitting on others opinions. We've asked you about who these "crappy characters" are, and you've barely justified yourself, if at all. You're still not justifying yourself, and acting like your opinion is fact. We know your opinion now, so please stop pushing it down others throats.
And why are you attacking another person's franchise for no reason? It's not cool. Stop trying to make an unnecessarily hostile environment.
If Sega makes a story relevant character that is well written, I don't see how that would be a problem.

I actually didn't mind TLOS's design. I prefer it to Skylanders by miles. But the character himself definitely still remains Spyro luckily. I'd love to see spyros games get the crash remaster treatment so we could see his original game design in HD with the current voice actor though!

I don't see anything funny about you disrupting an entire thread single-handedly with your obnoxiousness. That, and being disrespectful towards anyone, let alone a moderator isn't going to be tolerated. Have another strike and a two-week suspension to go with it. I strongly suggest you shape up your behavior between now and then if you want to continue to be a part of this community.

You have been warned REPEATEDLY by Staff to stop derailing this thread and stirring up trouble with your obnoxious attitude of excessive praise of Classic Sonic and your endless bashing of anything that isn't as well as your constant stating your opinions as fact and you didn't listen. Have a strike, and from now on actually contribute something productive to this topic or don't post in it at all. Seriously, absolutely no more of this unless you want additional disciplinary action.
As for everyone else, this topic once again is getting a bit heated so I'm going to ask that everyone calm down and engage in constructive and respectful conversation and discussion, please.

How come? I still enjoyed Crash design and voice, and the voice actor they chose for Spyro is solid too, but you can't negate that he has the worst appearance ever since its creation as a character.
I don't understand why this design was never rebooted in between one Skylander game and the next.

Aside from the GBA games, this show is pretty much the meet up every fan of Crash and Spyro wanted, with the titular character interacting and helping each other... and it's completely rendered horrible by Spyro's Skylanders' design. Thanks again, Activision.

Crash's voice and attitude are fine though. Approved.

    More of Crash:

They've teleported (?) Crash in the middle of a battle with Neo Cortex, and since he mentioned TAWNA (!), it probably was the last battle of Crash 1! Also, and he introduces himself, the original theme songs plays

You don't even know the halfovit, mate!

Yeah, I agree. The whole blabbing thing from Crash Tag Team Racing to Crash: Mind Over Mutant was really annoying. So glad they didn't make him speak like that here.
Anyways, I might watch the episode later. I've never been into Skylanders, but I'm interested to see what this episode is like, and if I enjoy it, maybe I'll watch the rest of the series as well.

And neither is waiting over 20 years for a company to completely revitalize every tiny bit of what made Sonic special to people during that time-frame in a full budget, mainstream game again when they've put effort into going their own way and evolving in a different direction than you may have wanted to see it go.
But hey, we're still here, right?
Seriously, come off it for a second. You can be fans of more than one era, and heck even have preferences from all around the board; some even intersecting. It's not that hard to comprehend, and it shouldn't be hard to at least understand that maybe people look at the series with a different train of thought than your own. We're all here for crazy different reasons, after all, even if the core is roughly the same..ish.

Sure some fans will, but IMO, it's definitely a million times better than the silly blabling. He never spoke real words in the old games, because Naughty Dog thought he might sound silly, so they made his animations and facial expression appealing enough to speak for him. Crash is a very laid back guy (when he's not on an adventure, he's always taking a nap), he's guilable, but knows how to distinguish good from evil. His personality reminds me a lot of Courage the Cowardly Dog. He's not the bravest, but when his loved ones are in trouble, he will do anything.

The episode of Skylanders shows Crash as a radical dude, 2cool4skool, brave, tough, but that has a big heart and real concern for the others, which is actually nice. Thanks God they didn't flanderized the guy. I've gots to see this episode.

A bit of a cinema history lesson the younger generations since i'm not sure how much of the world knows the two legends of the beat 'em up movies of the '70s and '80s. Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (codenames for two italian actors, Carlo Pedersoli and Mario Girotti) made a lot of movies in the course of two decades (ranging from contemporary suburban life to western to life in the south american jungle, but all with a comical theme) with relatively simple plots. There were bad guys, there were usually children of poor families to save, there was a lot of stuff to eat and drink, but best of all, there were a lot of goons working for the bad guys that were just waiting to be beated in the most comical and awesome fashion (for the time, at least). Not masterpieces at all, but they were still solid and fun movies to watch with the whole family once in a while to have a good laugh.
Recently though, Bud Spencer passed away (Terence Hill in the meantime dragged himself in the hell known as italian tv fiction, as me and Nald sadly know), so a local gaming team decided to assemble an ambitious project, something that many fans of the duo kinda wished for ever since videogames were made: a full-blown beat 'em up in the same style of Streets of Rage and Final Fight replicating scenes from the movies while having an original plot of its own.
At the time of the start of this thread the project is doing great with already 1/6 of its initial goal reached; it's aiming for now for a release on PC, Mac and Linux, considering console releases for a stretch goal (so far the only one is about 3 extra levels). As a huge personal fan of the duo, i'll back this up and ask you to give it a chance as well. It will not only bring justice to this fun times passed watching those movies, but will also help reinvigorating the italian game industry segment, wich started finally poking out of the shadows a couple of years ago.

I'm hoping this new character isn't an alien or a robot, since it seems like every non-Boom newbie is one of those two nowadays. I'd even take a new hedgehog or a new human over an alien or a robot at this point. Also hoping the character actually gets to stick around outside of spinoffs, and is written in a way where it would make sense to have the character come back.
I am geniunely interested in the idea of expanding the boost formula and would like to see what Sonic Team has planned for that. If, that is, this game is a boost formula game. It claims to be a sequel to Gens, but if the jump from Unleashed to Colors is any indication (or the jump from Sonic Advance 1 to Sonic Advance 2), a sequel does not have to be (and shouldn't be IMO) a clone of the game its following up to in terms of gameplay and in terms of story.
On a personal level, I don't really care that the boost is "safe"-- its not the second most-liked Sonic formula for nothing and contrary to a lot of people here, I think there's a lot you can do with Boost. If its sensible and its fun, I am a happy camper.

At least Perci has a shred of basis, given the unused (or should have been were it not for glitchy loading) dialogue which seems to suggest she was once to be more important.
...You know, given how much the West wanted their stamp over the Boom sub-franchise, I wonder if Perci was originally going to be the fifth important protagonist before some time later for some reason Sonic Team was called on to create Sticks.
