IDK about everyone else, but the only issue I really have with wisps are they completely make a fumble on flow when you're playing the game for the most part. Almost all of them demand you to stop to aim/etc, then do the thing; it's even exaggerated by the sudden shift in music, pounding it into your head "oh it's the wisp moment now hang on." I think wisp powers are actually genuinely neat and cool, but the only way I see people truly accepting them is if they're tuned in a bit better to work with Sonic's momentum and flow. Turn laser into a ring-dash variant, make rocket an instant super jump, have spike auto-commence if you run straight at a 90 degree wall. Have them a true extension of Sonic's ability that you keep in your back pocket when you collect it, not the gimmick to a level's design.
With the shield talk, that's probably why it's compared tbh. Elemental shields you just pop the monitor, and now suddenly you're just a "better" Sonic. Flame gives you an extra burst of speed on jump, lightning gives a much coveted second jump and ring-magnet to boot, and bubble combats everyone's dreaded underwater segments (I will add that the bounce attack doesn't always do wonders however).
But if I'm to be frank, I'm sure the wisps are the same as always judging from the boostpads/etc from the teaser we saw that I already shared my thoughts about.

    Kinda disappointed to be honest.
Look, Gens is fun and so forth, but what they decided to show today was Sonic running down a snaking corridor with boost pads, boosting through enemies without any form of trade-offs or danger (again), tired HA chains, and big filler jumps to look pretty. I can understand while some people are kinda "huh?" right now, as it looks like what we were shown 10 years ago with not much changed that I can see. I loved Unleashed, Colors, and Gens, but there was a big part of me hoping for a clean break away, or at least something shown to show that complaints about the boost-style gameplay was carefully evaluated and tweaked upon. I didn't see any of that today.
I'm willing to hold my breath and not judge the book by its 20 second cover, but what I saw today coupled with 3 supposed gameplay styles and wisps, I can already see it just being a continuation down the same rabbit hole we've gone down for a decade now. Again, it's not that I think it looks BAD, it's just I was hoping to be shown something that shows they're really striving for gold this time, instead of just pumping out the same biz because it worked 6 years ago with an average of 8/10 score. The "Sonic Mania" treatment is a little bit more complicated when you apply it to your modern line-up. With all this updraft in Sonic attitude lately, I wasn't expecting to see a Sonic Unleashed DLC to kick things off.
I really do hope to be floored later on with more footage, but these are my thoughts on what was shown anyway. Looks pretty as fuck though, and while "eeeh?" on the theme song, it's not bad either.

Wolfy got a reaction from Monkey Destruction Switch in Sonic Forces | PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC "The Next Generations"

Wolfy got a reaction from Zaysho in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii-U, Switch) 2017
    *squints at sunlight*
I've been buried deep for a week at this game nearly nonstop and wooooah boy, I think I might be bold enough to say this is my top tier Zoldi bidgeo game, and most definitely my favorite open world game in general haha. Explored a large majority of the world so far (at least have been to every area for more than a passing glance), lots of secret do-dads found, my armor set I like to use maxed, 3 of the places down, and 61 shrines completed. This shits good.
So far of all my travels, my favorite experience in the game has got to be:

I'll come back to make a more in-depth review on my experience with the game later, but for anyone who has played it through:

Wolfy got a reaction from UltraGizmo64 in Eggman (Contains spoilers for those who have not beat Generations yet)
Crazier or not, I just hope he get increasingly menacing. When I'm presented with a guy with an IQ of 300, I want to be intimidated at what he's scheming and plotting. Really show me what "evil genius" is all about. I'm flattered at the little obvious attempts Sega tries, like "OH NO, TIME NOMMER WAS EGGDIDDLES THE WHOLE TIME!," but I want something more threatening and stuff I didn't see coming. I know Eggman is supposed to lose in the end always, but I'd be awesome to see him get more small victories along the way, since I think not just building crazy machines will beat Sonic, but his wit. A very small and simple example, but like how he tricked Sonic into the room to get the power sucked out of the chaos emeralds in Sonic Unleash's intro. I want more of that but on bigger scales.

So yes, I think he should get more crazy, but not mindlessly. I want a crazy genius who's calculating, so I can hear more of his over the top, insanity laughs when he finally gets something right, XD.

Wolfy got a reaction from RedFox99 in No Sonic Adventure 3 (SA3) *OR* Sonic 06 topics please
Leaving this pinned as replacement to another topic that was held as an example of what not to make in regards to yet another dumb SA3 topic. Too often they pop up and they're usually the same things, as well as 'cause a lot of arguments and drama. So no Sonic Adventure 3 topics please. Thanks.

If the title ever does arise, you can expect a staff member to handle it.
