  1. on one hand I'm sad that we're getting a third CG Star Wars show in a row rather than something like Genndy's 2D clone wars series, but on the other, I will admit that this show's production values look really good for a TV show, and it's one of the best looking attempts at the Cel-shaded look I've seen on a TV show too, beating out previous stuff Disney's done like Tron Uprising, which already looked good in a "you've gotta get used to it" kind of way. Still not Paperman-level, but it's something.

(my weeb side is sorta mad though because earlier when they said it'd be anime-inspired I was thinking Avatar TLA. Technically they weren't lying here with what we're getting, but I still wasn't expecting CG.)

Well an interesting point to make is that to my knowledge it is being done by Polygon pictures who is a Japanese CG Animation studio who has done a number of CG Anime for Netflix. You should check them out and see a bit of their work. Knights of Sidonia and Ajin are two that come to mind that I know were received well if you need some recommendations.

Woah. I just looked at the dislike bar on the video and some of the comments... almost everybody hates it... but why?

      probably the usual sequel-era hate.

tbh I wish the series ended at 6 movies too but it is what it is. this is happening now. heck if anything I'm just using this as an excuse to finally see star wars movies in theaters now as I missed all 3 of the prequels growing up. The Force Awakens was my first Star Wars theater experience.

Ohwell. At least animation wise it looks ok to me.
