      To answer your question, your account is closed by removing unwanted profile content (possibly noting in the profile text that you are leaving and that the account is no longer in use) and making your browser forget to automatically sign-in.

      Unfortunately, closing or deleting accounts are not something we do on here (unless you have an exceptionally good reason for this) as per tradition. I hope anyone who considers something like this changes their mind and stays, though!
