      Runners is ok overall, a nice fun game but it's pretty eh with everything else. If you want it go ahead, if you don't, no worries.

    Sonic Heroes getting a 72 MetaCritic score I can handle because I've recently realized I'm just incredibly biased towards that game and SADX has 57 which is like ok but SA2B has a 73? *bangs hands on table* What is going on here

      Wasnt SA2 initially in the high 80's/low 90's on MC? So roughly  a 15-20 Metascore decrease in only a year? I mean I know the game hasn't aged well at all but wow...

      Also, Heroes' was initially quite well received, but ShTH tarnished its reputation.

      Haha, for some reason I didn't consider that the scores can change! 80s-90s is more what I expected to see for it, and I can get why people would give it lower scores these days...but that game rocked. My bias is strong

      I didn't know that about Heroes though! It was really what got me into Sonic so I have a huge soft spot for it, and like SA2B I can get some of the criticism but still think it's an awesome game. Interesting that ShTH was what made its reputation deteriorate. Was it just like, people blaming it for the downfall of Sonic or something?

      Heroes didn't age particularly well either, though I have a soft spot for that game as it was my first Sonic game.

    Oh my god, I was thinking about this really really recently when watching Retsupurae play Sonic 06. Rouge throws bombs in it, but similar enough, especially considering it basically mirrors Tails' dummy rings in that game. I hate how they decided to make her throw random stuff when she had her awesome kick attacks in SA2! Last part made me laugh. I can handle their theme a bit better now, but I never really liked it, and back in the day I just thought it was downright awful. It doesn't help that all the other teams have amazing theme songs to compare it to.

    It's been a long time since I've played this game, and I've always loved every bit of it, which means I loved all of the teams. But Team Chaotix and Team Dark have got to be my two favourites! They have absolutely, incredibly amazing theme songs (I've always loved Team Rose's, as well) and I find them the most interesting in terms of characters, reasons for teaming up and how they interact, gimmicks, gameplay, and all of that. Now I'm inspired to listen to some Heroes music and dump it on my phone, finally.

    does anyone here have any outstanding thoughts/opinions on the vita before i make my decision which will quite possibly be me picking up a 1.0 today with p4g and a memory card for like $200?

      It's a good system that's unfortunately fucked over by Sony because they wouldn't put the effort in to give it a great library.

      Personally, I still play it though, due to the great console ports and exclusives. If you're looking for decent Vita games you can get for a good price at this point

    If lives are significantly easy to get then they may as well not be there, I'd have to agree. Limited lives provides challenge so if you can easily get as many as you'd like then there's no challenge and therefore no point. On the other hand, watching Retsupurae play through Sonic 06, that game has incredibly long, difficult levels and it could have been more generous with lives.
