Classic Sonic in Forces feels like such an 11th hour addition. Like, he has zero significance to anything in the plot, four levels, and like...one boss? And another that's virtually just a reskin of that one?

Well, we don't know how much Tyson was involved, but if he was given the proper creative freedom, I'm sure the design itself will look decent...in 2D art, anyway. But that unfortunately doesn't mean anything if the model itself is uncanny, creepy garbage like the last one.

Normally I would agree, but the problem with that is that creates a slippery slope. What someone does in their personal life, is, of course, their business. But if they're a liar, cheater, sending nudes to minors (Yes, we've established that he didn't KNOW they were minors, but he is still a moron for not considering how easy it is to lie about your age on the internet), or doing scummy things all around, that's a bit of an issue for me, and, by the reaction to the ordeal at large, it's also an issue for many people. But, of course, conversely, there are people who don't care at all, which is also fine. Some people just want to watch the content and don't really care who makes it, which, I admire your ability to separate the artist from the art.

That's just the thing about becoming a public figure, whether you want it or not, people are going to hold you up as a "role model" as you put it. As for why everyone is so angry, it's because cheating is an incredibly scummy and shitty thing to do, (not that I have much sympathy for Heidi either) and it makes it all the stranger that he waited months to say anything, on top of redirecting blame yet again.

Sonic Adventure DX (PC) is just about driving me up the wall.
Ever since a few days ago, basically everything I do just makes the game crash.
I made sure all the mods are up to date (mod loader included), tried running the game in windowed mode, tried running it in different resolutions, tried doing a complete, clean, re-install, tried verifying the integrity of the game files, tried running it without mods, tried disabling Steam, NVidia's, and Discord's overlays, and nothing works.

Truth be told I haven't seen enough of Boom to give an opinion on the show either way, (Well that's not entirely true, I've caught a few episodes but didn't care for the comedy direction) but there's also the entire Ken Penders era of the Archie comics which...yikes those got super dumb and bad. -

Well, yeah, there was Boom, but there's also the super popular SatAM, Sonic Mania...sure, the West DEFINITELY has had it's missteps with Sonic, but the success of Sonic Mania is going to be super hard to ignore. Sonic has always been more successful in the West, as has been established an innumerable amount of times, so focusing more on the Western market only makes sense. -
Man the Time Eater fight feels so super tacked on, gameplay and storywise. The Egg Dragoon feels way more like a final battle.

I see that boss as a personification of all the bad moments in the series; from sudden gameplay changes with poor execution, to completely useless side characters who never shut up. (Even if you disable tutorials, which is basically what that is.) It's like after being rewarded with the rest of the game that brings out the Best of Sonic, we have to pay for it by dealing with all the worst aspects rolled into one.
Frankly, it's also eerily prophetic for what happens to the franchise after this game: More bad gameplay, characters and junk. What a way to finish off a beautiful celebration of Sonic's past by giving players a glimpse into his "bright, sparkling" future.

was kinda nice seeing the Egg Dragoon fight in the way that Eggman probably originally intended it to. I remember reading in Unleashed's Eggman machine bios that he build it as the ultimate fighting machine against sonic or whatever but never accounted for the Werehog when building it originally, which is why it was easily torn apart by Sonic in that form. But in Gens its like Eggman technically has the upperhand that go around

Why didn't Scar just kill Simba when he was mourning over Mufasa's corpse
There were no witnesses and it's not like he had some moral objections to killing a child, he was trying to do that before he killed Mufasa anyway

couldn't make it look clean. mufasa fell and got trampled, looks like an accident. mauling simba himself would leave too much evidence and another "accident" would be suspicious.

in that case the lion crime scene investigators would surely notice the lack of hoofprints or related trauma and investigate further.
really the point isn't that there would be no possible way for scar to get away with killing him, but that he had ways of getting rid of him without (further) dirtying his hands

Eh, kinda? Like @Mad Convoy mentioned, it's sort of hard to measure how big a fandom is. Sure, most Sonic fans do buy the games, but there's also a sizable section of the fandom that doesn't or can't for any number of reasons. There's also small children who are fans that, if they or their guardian(s) are smart, won't be interacting with anyone online until they're old enough to know what kind of things go on online. The short of it is, there's a lot of people we simply can't account for. Another factor to consider is, as others have mentioned: Forums in general are kind of dying as a medium. Sure, places like this still stand, but it's far from bustling with activity outside of like, the Sonic movie thread, but even then that just boils down to a few regulars and a few others who wander in every now and then. I'm sure if you went into something like, a Sonic Discord or subreddit it would be a different story, but as Stricker mentioned, Sonic games have also kinda slowed down. TSR came and went, and the last major, mainline game (Forces) is almost 2 years old at this point, and I believe it was mentioned that the next mainline Sonic game will be the 30th anniversary game. Something we're still about a year and a half out from, so it's not entirely unusual that we don't know anything about it other than "Sonic Team is working on something". I dunno. I guess the best analogy I have here is that, like most fandoms, Sonic is just sort of a series of hills and valleys. When we have a ton of info dumping or a major game coming out like Mania or Forces or Generations or whatever, expect a lot more buzz. But we're just kinda waiting around for the next thing currently.
