  1. On one hand, it's too early to say if the 30th anniversary game will be any good or not or what it even is

    On the other, it *is* Sonic Team, so a little skepticism is required

      I do think that ST is really in a "put up or shut up" situation. There really won't be an excuse for them this time around beyond their own incompetence (not that I'd argue there was one with Forces but hey, some people disagree on that so whatever). We've seen fan creations evolve past them. We've seen the industry run laps around them.

      They have to do something this time around.

      @Strickerx5 I think SEGA/Sonic Team has shown long ago that their aim is no longer to 'be at the top of the game' with Sonic. They're just gonna do their own little thing, no matter how out of date or mediocre it is.

      Trust me, I'm not asking for the top of the game. Hell, I'm not even asking for a top 10.

      I'm somewhere around "Just be in the same ballpark as one of these Unity fan projects" with them. Maybe with the added bonus of slightly surpassing what they did visually with Unleashed, 12+ years back, but that's probably asking for too much.
