  1. Question about Charmy. So the red (classic) and black (modern) spheres at the end of his arms...is that his shoulder? The reason I ask is that at least as far as the Classic series goes he's side by side with other characters with bizarre shoulder designs. Espio with those doughnut shoulders and Vector with that huge socket. So I look back at Classic Charmy and go "hm...so he's got, like, balls for shoulders I guess". Modern Charmy has that orange jacket but he still has those spheres which could be sleeves...but look at Modern Vector: He's not even wearing a shirt or anything. His weird shoulder design changed into another weird shoulder design but now it's the same as Charmy, which makes me think it's not apart of Charmy's jacket.
  2. So that means Sonic wasn't actually born on Christmas Island? Or maybe...that's where he crash landed? According to your headcanon, that is.
  3. That's actually precisely the reason why I stick with the Japanese cast. It also helps that I've been used to those voices since 2003 at the earliest.
  4. Sonic looks great. The dip in the curvature of his muzzle is more prominent, more prominent brows, eyes are more rounded at the top. He's starting to look more like his 2D art. Even the shape of his smirk is real close to this:
  5. I knew Sonic’s design was partly based on Felix The Cat, but I didn’t know this art of Sonic was basically a trace.

Yeah, I know that face looked very familiar, just not to this extent.

  6. Like I said, Fang being a wolf/jerboa hybrid canonically was from the official Japanese guide for Sonic The Fighters (incorrectly said Sonic Jam in my previous post), something Japanese fans already knew about. There’s an article about it on here. https://www.sonicstadium.org/2017/08/mistaken-identity-fang-and-bean-are-not-what-you-think-they-are/
  7. Hm? I meant the concept of Fang being half wolf/weasel. That’s the misconception, one that stemmed from a Japanese fan making profiles that revealed that Fang was half-wolf. Westerners took that info to mean he was a wolf/weasel hybrid when it in fact turned out to be “wolf/jerboa”. Then the Sonic Jam official guide surfaced from a user on Retro which had the same info. Fang being from the Special Dimension isn’t a misconception, it’s official information that comes straight from the Japanese Manuel for Sonic & Tails 2/Triple Trouble was my point. Translation by someone who’s fluent in Japanese .
  8. I mean, the Wolf-Weasel thing was just a misconception by fans. The Fang being a Wolf/Jerboa hybrid information was translated straight from the Sonic Jam Official Guide fairly recently. Fang living in the Special Stage Dimension comes straight from the official Japanese Manuel translated by Windii on Sonic Retro.
  9. It's like the Sonic Adventure art style fused with Battle's and created this godlike piece of art. Goodness. Use this shit in the games Sega.
  10. Doubt it. Since it's in his character description everyone takes "Tresure hunter who lives in Subspace" to mean he lives there. It's not exactly a stretch when you consider the fact that they contain cities.
  11. Also, there's the Special Stage Dimension where all the Special Stages take place. Fang lives there. Adventure is not a dimension, that's just Modern. I don't think Boom was ever established to be one either, it just sorta exists as its own entity separate from everything else.
  12. I'd like another Tikal. Fat chance of that happening though.
  13. For his superhero persona how about having him in his concept design from this art? Or the concept art closest to his final design. Lacks gloves, the walrus teeth on his cape reach past his shirt and he wears shoes rather than black pants with connected boots.
  14. I just find the idea of her funny. I also like the idea of her magic being expanded upon. Have her magic buff bosses in a way, she has the ability to produce crystals so maybe she could add additional weaponry to robots or something.
  15. I’m more thinking about what the Mania team could do with these villains. The reason I mention what they were capable of in Tails’s games was to more or less show what they have to work with. I think there’s some potential there to bring some interesting elements to boss battles. This reminds me of when Mighty and Ray were revealed, some members here weren’t thrilled due to them being portrayed as Sonic clones in the past but look at what the Mania team did with them. They could do something with Witchcarts magic and use Kukku’s battle troops. Just suggestions since like I said they could just bring in a new enemy or Heavy King could try something again.
  16. Archie Comic characters? I don’t see that happening. Heavy King’s still around according to Plus so yeah, he could try his evil stuff again.
  17. How about bringing back the Great Battle Kukku? They are bringing back a lot of old characters so why not? Have him try to take revenge on Tails and obviously have Sonic get involved. Hell, have him team up with Witchcart who’s another Tails enemy: Both utilize robots and machinery like Eggman and have the added quality of having henchmen, Great Kukku being a physical fighter and Witchcart utilizing magic. I’m sure some interesting stuff could be done with that. With Eggman possibly gone for the time being there’d be no competition. There’s also the option of creating a new villain.
  18. Mighty’s kinda like that isn’t he? I always thought Mighty and Vector looked weird in comparison to everyone else. Knuckles and Espio’s rings are thick and shaped similarly to each other’s but look different from the other rings more thin and wide shape, Tails’ ring matches the rest. The shading on his Hand’s look real similar to Mighty, Charmy and Vector’s hands as well. I dunno, thought it looked similar enough. I said it was from Sky Patrol twice. It’s just a weird head canon that assumes game appearances are similar to acting roles and are just gigs they acquire, kinda like how Mr. Miyamoto revealed that Super Mario Bros. 3 was just a play and not an actual adventure.
  19. So there's something I noticed about Tails' artwork in Tails Sky Patrol. He's holding a Ring: In the Chaotix artwork, the Characters are all holding rings. If we put Tails' Sky Patrol art next to the Chaotix art you get this: Tails is the missing Chaotix member. Clearly, this artwork was originally intended for Chaotix and Wechnia leftover data is remnants of a playable Tails. Tails was ready to meet some new friends in a bizarre new game. Unfortunately, Tails had business elsewhere with Sonic so he had to skip out on the game last minute and only had enough time to show up for the Good Ending. His photoshoot artwork was reused for his solo title.
  20. Nothing too interesting, but here's something I noticed while watching Part 5: When the characters are paralysed by those traps, Sonic can still move himself a little bit. Tails, on the other hand, can't move whatsoever. Even Super Metal Sonic can't seem to budge. Sonic's really tough.
  21. I like how he finds shooting off Chaos Hadoukens dishonourable but doesn't mind straight up air bending with Aerokinesis. Sonic Wind (SA2), Sonic Wave (Battle), Blue Tornado (Heroes), Tornado (Rush), Whirlwind (Chronicles). Wait... "different" Sonic nevermind.
  22. It's lazy because they don't look how you want them to look? It's in the games and in official art like I just showed you. I guess Craig Mccracken is lazy because he didn't draw fingers on the Powerpuff girls. I'm getting the vibe that you want Sonic characters to have toes really badly. There's plenty of fanart out there that gives them toed feet you know. There's also the early Archie comics. This is... irrelevant. Not trying to be mean, but I don't see the point in this argument. You want them to have toes so you ignore official Japanese art from a Japanese series because it's not anatomically correct?
  23. What does that have to do with their feet? What does that have to do with their feet? Why? Because you said so? This has nothing to do with the official art that shows Focke Wolf with blobs on his legs. You'd have a point if Madonna ever ended up in a game. Sky Patrol is a released game containing characters who weren't scrapped in development. 06 was retconned and that has nothing to do with their official design. What is? The characters having flipper feet? It's a part of their design: It's consistently a part of their design: You want me to keep going? Despite any art style shift... they still don't have toes. Big still has flipper feet in Team Sonic Racing: Look at the Powerpuff Girls, they canonically don't have fingers: They had a drastic art style change in a 2014 short: They still don't have fingers because... that's their design. They don't have fingers. Sonic characters not having toes is consistent and I still fail to see what this has to do with the headcanon.
