  1. I'm just going to ask: is it wrong for me to be absolutely infuriated at Archie Sonic 283 (which I managed to read) for it's usage of Cream? Sure, she got some much needed focus and interaction with characters NOT named Sally. But I can't help but feel that her appearance still amounted to nothing, her role being that of a "delivery girl". And even then, Big was the one who was actually delivering! I don't know, I just feel like I'm being unpleaseable...

      well i mean it's cream. There really aren't any expectations anyone should have for that character

      To be honest....yes. I understand the frustration but at the end of the day it's just a fictional character that really added nothing to the series at all. If it was say Tails, Knux, Amy, Shadow and maybe Blaze and Silver then I could understand.

      Be thankful she's having this much time in the spotlight. Better than how the cast are treated in the games.

      @Rusty Spy I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this but allow me to link my reblog of this post on Tumblr in response to that "there really shouldn't be any expectations for Cream". Or, alternatively, I'll point to Big the Cat- There shouldn't be any expectations in his character. After all Big only had two "major" roles in the series (compare to Cream's five) and was created solely to incorporate fishing gameplay in Adventure (whereas Cream was created to be Amy's "sidekick", a much more important and long-term role). His entire character is also that of a strong but slow and dim fisherman who is more concerned about a frog than anything else. Yet none of this stops him from being a relatively major player in the comics, frequently taking part in battles and making noteworthy contributions. I don't mean to bad-mouth Big, he's a good character who gets tons of unwarranted crap and deserves some spotlight. Just because Cream doesn't have much to her doesn't mean she can't have anything added to her and this apathetic behavior towards her existence is only enforcing this (pardon my French) bullcrap.

      @Dejimon11 So, it's wrong for me to be infuriated at a comic book promising to have Cream be a "central hero" only to continue the same bullshit they've been tossing at her for 3 years, because she isn't a major/popular character? I'm very sorry, I don't want to contest your opinion, but what you're saying basically translates to "it's wrong to be angry at an unpopular character being mistreated, even if she's a personal favorite of yours". By that logic, I guess everyone who was pissed at DC for killing off Lian Harper were wrong for being mad at a super minor character's death... Although, if I'm wrong, I'm incredibly sorry for misinterpreting what you're saying and feel free to call me out with the worst insults imaginable.

      @Forte-Metallix Fair enough.

      Cream was already a central hero when she saved the Freedom Fighters from the three E-Series Badniks, and she's constantly supporting them. Being a medic might not be the most glamorous role in a team, but it's extremely important. The Freedom Fighters wouldn't still be around without her.

      If Cream is the team's medic, that's incredibly hard to tell given how the majority of her appearances had her serving food and asking to go on missions/battles only to be denied. I'm actually perfectly okay with Cream being a medic (albeit of the combat variety) but it's incredibly hard to think that's the case right now. I mean, we've only seen her remotely do medic work twice in her three year tenure as a Freedom Fighter; first time in 267 (directly after rescuing everyone from the ambush*) and second time in 274 (which I personally don't even count as an instance of "being the medic" since all Cream could do was give Sally a band-aid).

      *Speaking of which, I guess I'll finally accept that as an instance of Cream being the central hero. I'll admit, I'm just hesitant to actually acknowledge that moment since Big ultimately did more of the work and Cream didn't receive any attention, acknowledgement, and/or development from this moment, instead we focus on Sally angsting about how she nearly got everyone killed (which, to be fair, I guess was warranted but would it have killed them to have Sally also acknowledge Cream saving everyone's ass and letting her take part in missions and battles?)
