The Very Inactive One got a reaction from Polkadi~☆ in Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Switch (Mar 20, 2020)
Finally, this had gotten announced. I’ve been waiting for this game since Pocket Camp got released. I spent hours on both NL and the GCN one, so I’m definitely looking forward to this. Hoping they bring back the town size and the fifteen villager limit from the GCN game back.

The Very Inactive One got a reaction from SpongicX in How many Sonic games are actually challenging?
I never found any Sonic game to be remotely challenging save for few annoying parts in them. The most difficult Sonic game I played would probably be Spinball, though honestly, I get sick of that game after a while of playing it, so I'm not really sure if that's a case of a game being too difficult for me or just one I can't stand playing it.

The Very Inactive One got a reaction from mikeblastdude in Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back
    Well, this is unexpected.
Tbh, this doesn't really look that bad, honestly. Tbh, I didn't really mind the first Bubsy that much aside from it being super cheap at times, so I don't really mind this revival and honestly, I think it could be good. The developers made Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and Rouge Stormers which are both pretty good, so I think this could be decent. I'm definitely not excited for this, but I'm not gonna immediately assume it's bad because of the character.
Also, this was my first post in months. Don't expect me to make any more after this, though.

The Very Inactive One got a reaction from Tefutakato in What's your favorite obscure Sonic song?
Is Race to Win obscure? Because I really like it.
It's so energetic and catchy, and fits the game well, I love it. Shame, it's so short.

The Very Inactive One reacted to Detective Kaito in What if: Sonic Modern Collection for PS4/Xbox One.
Do you want to see a collection of the Modern Sonic games all bundled up in one package and released for PS4/X1?
    The collection would include:
Sonic Unleashed (HD version). Sonic Colors. Sonic Generations. Sonic Lost World. PC already has 2 of these games available on Steam (3 if you wanna count Wii emulator), but Sonic Unleashed and Colors never saw a re-release on PC for some reason, which they desperately need. Maybe discard Lost World from the collection to keep it a bit easier for the devs, that and it's the most recent game. Maybe release the collection for Nintendo Switch too.
Updated graphics, 1080p, 60fps, all DLC (which Unleashed has a quite a lot of), and best of all, easy money for SEGA.
Insert "I'd rather let Sonic Team work on new games rather than work on porting old ones!" comment here.

Anyone else wishing for some sort of hub areas like Unleashed has? For me, aside from the actual story, content like this is really a big plus. Maybe there could be a chao garden type of mini game included in a hub area. Chances are those won't probably happen , but I would greatly enjoy wandering in a place like Adabat's hub.

The Very Inactive One reacted to Autosaver in Super Bomberman R (Nintendo Switch) Coming March 2017 Can Konami Redeem Themselves!?
I had a ton of memories with Bomberman Blast. The 8 player multiplayer was also a ton of fun. I also played the DSiWare bomberman. I'm really looking forward to the Switch Bomberman and hoping it's as fun the Wii/DS games.

I really hope that the shield and rocket power-ups from Bomberman Blast make a return in this game. Those power-ups were really useful and fun to use when you got the hang of them, especially the Rocket.

If the plot is going to be just " Sonic need to stop Eggman and Eggman from the past with help of Sonic from the past with time travel, Tails and Tails are AGAIN completely useless just making company for Sonic, The rest of the characters are captured, Sonic saves one by one but they are AGAIN completely goddamn useless and at the end Sonics dies but the power of friendship saves them, and at the end THAT'S A HOMING SHOT B*TCH"
I'll be disappointed. Just a bit. I'll punch the screen and spam "Sonic is dead" until I'm banned.

Eh, not a huge fan of His World in general. It just doesn't come out right for me. I don't really care for SA1 version of It Doesn't Matter, and while I do like the SA2 version, I don't really listen to it often.
But enough about Sonic's theme songs, can we talk about how badass Silver's theme, Dreams of an Absolution is?

Seriously, a character like Silver does not deserve a theme song this good!

Platinum Games would likely laugh and then block Sega from their twitter account if they were approached to make a Shadow the Hedgehog game.

The Very Inactive One got a reaction from MightyRay in Favorite Sonic era
I don't really have an favorite era, so I rather just say my opinion on each era.
The classic era is pretty good. It was the start of the series and pretty established many common aspects of the series. While I don't really like Sonic 1 or Sonic CD, Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles are probably my favorite games in the series, especially Sonic 2. I can play those two games and have a good time with them. Don't really care for most of the spin-offs from this era, though Tails' Adventure is alright.
I have mixed feelings towards the Adventure era. While I do like the larger cast of characters it has compared to other eras, I felt the games were left to be desired. Adventure 1 was alright, though I don't really find it all that replayable after beating it, I'm not really a fan of Adventure 2, Heroes was kinda medicore, and I don't like the Advance games as much as most people do. I will say I do really Rush Adventure, though I can't say the same for the original Rush, since I don't remember it very well. The less said about Shadow and 06, the better.
The Modern Era is alright. I remember Unleashed (HD) being my favorite Sonic game for a long while, but I haven't played it in a long time, so idk how I would feel about it now. Colors and Generations are pretty good, though I don't like Generations as much as I did back then (Although, I still really like Colors), Lost World was kinda eh, but nothing terrible, and while I'm not fond of the Boom games, the show's pretty decent, so there's that.
If I had to choose a favorite, then it would probably be the classic era, since I enjoy the games from that era the most, but really, I'm just a (sorta) allround fan.

The Very Inactive One reacted to Jango in Sonic Forces | PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC "The Next Generations"
Hubs can be awesome. But they have to sploit Sonic's skills to the max. The Unleashed hubs were not as bad as people make it IMO. The areas where the stages' entrances actually are have a lot of platforming to do, running over water, monkey-swinging on poles, grinding on rails, wall-jumping and what-not. I admit, they could and should be larger, since Sonic runs too damn fast in that game.

In the other hand, the Sonic Adventure's hubs, which most people seems too prefer, I find boring AF. They're nice and well made, but all you do is run around from point A to point B untill a cutscene triggers. You almost never need to use one of Sonic's skills to do something or get somewhere different and interesting, except the lightspeed dash, but c'mon?

One of the best hub worlds in gaming, in my opinion, are the ones from the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy. Those are large areas, FULL of secrets, some cool puzzle solving and skill test. They were designed around Spyro's skills: gliding, swinming, running, and you need to combine all of them most of the time to progress / complete 100%.

I would like to have full 3D hub-worlds in Sonic again, but they need to design it 100% around his skills. Don't throw him in a tiny space or a large area with nothing to do and expect it to be fun.
