  1. making a Midgar game and another game that's just everything else is the best way they could've done this episodic thing imo. Im glad it's no more than 2 parts

Making a game, and then just adding onto it through patches or dlc expansions would have been my preferred method. And why is Midgard one whole game? Iirc in relation to the rest of the game, wasn’t it only like a third of the whole experience? So either they’re cutting down on content, or gonna rush through all the other stuff

It's more than two parts. The two discs are both for Midgar

From what I gathered, FF7R is gonna be only Midgar in 2 discs, according to press release and the conference itself.

So it'll maybe be 3 parts, since, like KHCast said, it's approximately a third of the original game's story? We won't know for a while.

I'm a bit two-minded on this. On one hand, if only Midgar is 2 discs, then that portion should be heavily expanded, which sounds great. But on the other hand, the other games are gonna bleed into the next-gen consoles, and that means if you want the full experience, you'll probably have to shell out for another console. So yeah, I'm a bit mixed on this specific thing now.

The game itself still looks hella great tho.

Midgar is more like 5% of FF7 than a third btw

yea FFVII is about 40 hours long and Midgar takes about 3 hours to beat
