*sigh* Fucking hell Priest, WTH kind of take is this?
God, it gets worse as you scroll down.
Take a god damn shot every time he pulls the cliche responses. “I’m not defending him or anything buuuut”, “everything’s so political now”, “I can’t even say hello to women without them getting angry at me”
And apparently he’s homophobic too? Like shit as if trying to bat for Biden wasn’t bad rep enough
The dude doubles down and gets defensive whenever he’s called out and attempts to change what he said like when he said the “two genders” shit and then suddenly tried to present that as a misunderstanding on our end. His tone also seems overly sympathetic of characters like Biden even though he tries to say he’s not taking sides(yknow, despite him admitting “I’m a Joe Biden”.) And also overblows this whole “I cant say hi to women especially black ones” complaint. I live in Portland and have said hello to females and don’t at all feel they’ve given me the sting.
As far as the interviewer, I didn’t get at all the vibe he was setting up Priest, despite what the comments are, shockingly, saying. He asked pretty reasonable questions, and priest went on a rant, to which the interviewer built off those comments priest gave
Don't you see? Your finding your own interpretations from his words and judging him based on that. That's part of the "guilty until proven innocent" mentality that he was talking about.Quote
Now you're reading things into what Priest says and I'm reading things into what Chris Arrant (The interviewer.) says. The latter part of this quote sounding a lot like a threat. While I though Priest's replies were sensible.
I think that just tells me that we as outsiders, aren't equipped to judge the people involved based solely on this interview. What worries me is that they are people that are very quick to anger and I don't think they'd be able to enjoy life like that.
I understood the points Priest was making because I've heard stories that lined up with his fears. That's just my take on this.
