  1. That freaking adorable. I should probably watch a longplay of Dark Moon or something at some point.
  2. I'm a bit late to seeing this. Is that ghost dog from Dark Moon or something?
  3. I also consider most of these excuses to be pretty flimsy when everything we've seen so far doesn't really coincide with what they're saying. Extra attention to make the models aesthetically pleasing, despite the fact that they're all just upscaled versions of 3DS models, with animations that are hardly different. At the same time, I do agree that anything GameFreak does will be met with controversy, but that can be said about pretty much everything GameFreak does.
  4. Okay, I am going to ask two things here- 1) That this personal argument stop. Attack points, not people, etc. 2) Also, I was fine with it in the statuses because I thought you were just making fun of some rando on Twitter, which isn't a great thing to do either but I'd be a hypocrite to call you out on it. But I absolutely do think we shouldn't be bringing up off-site drama between other members into the thread. Please settle that shit in private, not here.
  5. Diving head first into the hype train on this one. Luiigi's Mansion is one of my favorite GameCube games, and this looks like a proper continuation of it. Can't wait for more!
  6. I'm sort of in a difficult position when it comes to this whole ordeal of cutting out Pokémon. It doesn't impact me because I don't have Switch Online, which both means I probably won't be getting the game at launch and I won't be transferring previous Pokémon to the game even if it were possible. To some extent, I'd certainly like to in case my 3DS dies sometime in the next decade, but it's not a priority to me. For that matter, getting all the Pokémon really isn't a priority to me anymore. But I absolutely understand and can more than sympathize with those who do find this to be a huge turn off for them, to the point where it kind of depletes any interest in the game. My problem with this personally is that I'd actually advocate for the series slowing down on creating new Pokémon and regions in favor of developing the world and creatures they already have... but only if it meant they were also revitalizing the formula dramatically so that the single player campaign itself is unique and interesting in its own merits. But while doing away with HM's is an incredibly good move on GameFreak's part, nothing else that I've seen so far leads me to believe this will anything other than business as usual for Pokémon. And even if it was, I still think that allowing you to transfer Pokémon from previous games should be a thing, even if there's no other way to encounter them within the game itself. It's an idea I can get behind in theory, but don't trust it was done with the right intentions.
  7. This does look genuinely impressive; like an actual update to the existing formula rather than an attempt to shoehorn the characters into outlandishly unfitting roles for merchandising reasons. I look forward to seeing how these develop.
  8. It looks like it could be an interesting change of pace. But it doesn't look particularly GREAT as 2D platformers go.
  9. Pretty much same. I love Banjo and I'd like to think that he's not doomed to fail if he does come back. But I'm beginning to wonder things like, what if Banjo is simply a product of his time? That is to say, maybe one game is honestly enough, and the two other installments were already pushing it. I'd certainly be happy to be proven wrong, but I don't have a lot of faith that a sequel would capture the same charm, and even a remaster of the original games in the vein of N. Sane Trilogy and Reignited probably wouldn't do any justice for me, since I don't think the higher res details would capture Banjo in a way that is pleasing. A good PC version of the first two games would be nice; maybe throw in some quality of life features and glitch fixes. But I don't really care much for the idea of a sequel as much as other people do.
  10. With the exception of Wooloo, I'm not really feeling any of the new Pokémon designs, honestly. They all just look far too busy in my opinion, and my eyes just can't focus on any one aspect, and the colors are just all over the place. Kind of like Corviknight but not really as a Pokémon.
  11. I'mma... take that as the second... I guess?
  12. Oh, I recently watched Batman/TMNT. It suffered from a lot of plot contrivances and was kind of silly, but I like it better than the comic it (loosely) attempting to adapt. It was a lot more lighthearted and Troy Baker's Batman and Joker are extremely fun. It's kind of weird, though, because despite being PG-13 and having a sizable amount of blood and a bit of foul language, it has the tonality, pacing, and overall plot structure of a show meant for small children. That's not a bad thing per se, but it does make it seem like the makers of the movie weren't sure who they were marketing the film for. Also worth a note that this is probably the only thing I've seen where Damian Wayne isn't so terrible that I become nauseated whenever his face appears on screen. That's a pretty incredible feat on its own. However, it should be noted that it's mostly because Damian in this movie is more akin to Tim Drake's Robin from The New Batman Adventures than he is Damian. He even uses Tim's signature staff instead of a sword as Damian is known for using. So basically, if you want a fun movie to waste time, I recommend this. If you want something a little more serious and slightly less ridiculous, just wait for Hush.
  13. That's not entirely the problem. If you're going to post highly speculative topics like this, we do expect a certain amount of effort to be into the OP in order to facilitate and direct discussion. Otherwise, they tend to not go very well. See this topic and this topic for examples of OP's that generally work. However, I'm at a loss here, because I don't think you're intentionally doing anything wrong, just having a hard time getting the ropes around here, so I can give you a couple of options- 1) Rework the OP to be more in line with general expectations. 2) I can close the thread and you can take some time to settle in more before making threads. If you choose the first, I'll give you the next 24 hours to do so, and if it isn't done by then, I'll probably have to lock it.
  14. There's nothing really against the rules about threads speculating a possible revival and what someone would like to see from it, though I don't suspect this forum has a heavy Proud Family fanbase or at least not a big enough one to warrant a thread on its own. If we have a Disney Channel original animation thread, I might consider moving the discussion there.
  15. I think the OP is being hypothetical. (I think being the keyword) A quick Google search only yields a skeevy article from 2016 that talks about the possibility, but nothing in the way of actual confirmation.
