  1. After Sonic Forces’ realese some of us started thinking about a future for Blue Blur. Allow me to open a discusion, based around single clue, left for us by Sonic Social Media Team way back in June. In video celebrating Sonic's 26th Anniversary we had a view on a whiteboard inside Sega's office. Aside from few easter eggs, we had one thing pointing out to something new. "FY 18: Project Death Egg Σ" "FY" probably stands for "financial year" or "fiscal year". New fiscal year for Japan (Sega Sammy is japanese company) begins April 1st. The rest is of course a code name. "Death Egg" points at Sonic-related project. The only thing that I can analyse a little deeper is a greek letter "Σ". Sigma is the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. It can further point at year 2018. Another way I could interpret sigma is by it's mathematical meaning. It is a "summation operator". With this you can sum all natural numbers beetwen two numbers. Food for thought. Do you think I'm overthinking one little easter egg? Excuse me for any and all mistakes in writing. English is not my native language.
  2. If Mr.Flynn has more freedom now... Maybe he will be able to recreate this little gem of moment. I just would like to experience this types of moments a little bit more from now on. Not at the begening, but after a year or two? Such a climactic battle at the end of a new big saga, that we all know Mr.Flynn will make.
  3. You know what I'm hopeing for from IDW? Reprints. Why? Well, I did a little bit of reaserch. In the 80's there were 2 Transformers continuites: American and British. Both made by Marvel. And they reprinted both of them under "Classic" and "Classic UK" names respectivly (well, they are still doing "Classics UK". It was a weekly series, so there is a lot of material). Going back to Sonic, maybe we will get both classic Archie AND Fleetway reprints? Not from the beggining of course, but maybe after 2-3 years of an ongoing title? I hope so, at least.
  4. From what I remember from BumbleKast: Those smaller stories were made to fill a space and to lead up to issue 300 where a new saga would begin. And regarding a current situation: It's a good thing Sonic/SEGA found a new publisher. From what I can say, IDW are doing a very good job on their Transformers, G.I. Joe and TMNT books. If they'll make something like that (Especialy Transformers/Hasbro universe) with Sonic, I'll be happy. For first few issues I would expect them to retell some of the games while establishing the universe: bassicly what Mr. Flynn was doing with Mega Man comics. But who knows. At this moment we only know an editor and his most important work until this moment was DC's Vertigo, so we can predict nothing based on that alone (Vertigo is as far from Sonic as it gets). I will wait and monitor their Creative team anouncments. Maybe then we will be able to predict a direction of Sonic comics. Sorry for gramatical/spelling mistakes, if there are any.

  7. Challenging? Anything releted to 100% complition of SA2. This game broke me... But challange I remember the most is Seaside Hill in Generations. At first I hated this stage. I felt like everything was built to stop me, kill me, squash me... You get the drill. But the more I played, the more I learned this stage. The more I fought with it's challenges, the more I grown. Now I know most paths and can beat it with no deaths, with boost all the time, or whole stage without boost. It was the most rewarding challange in my Sonic experiance. But hardest is still SA2 100%. Those damn Chaos...

  10. Yesterday both TSSZ and Donnie hinted on Twitter that something appered on website. And the decription under this art talks about dialogue choices in BBFA3:TT, so it wasn't there before.

  15. I would like to see a super fast FPS/TPS with Shadow as a main character. Gameplay wise: Sonic's speed + three dimentional, non-linear level design + lot of over the top wepons + parkour + slow-mo/bullet time. Also, aditional stages as E-123 "Omega" and Rouge the Bat. Story wise: G.U.N. , Eggman Empire, Aliens, conspiracy, Mission: Impossible vibe.
  16. Kingdom Hearts HD I.5+II.5 Remix (man, now I see why it became a meme) is coming to PS4? YEEEES!!! I felt it in my guts since the very day I bought my console. I'm soooo happy that I will be able to play all of these games. This, then II.8 and I'll be waiting for KHIII... Today is a good day.

  18. Well, I find it kinda cool. It gives this energy into his character and, if you know what you're doing, you won't hear it often. And, well, it makes sense for Sonic to keep talking to himself. Because he's awesome and he knows that. Also it can shorten a cut-scenes when I look back at it. It would allow to keep the game story flow.
  19. I just got Sonic Boom GN and... it got me thinking. You remember how this series got canceled at the same time Mega Man went on hiatus? Like, it was at the same time, but Boom got canceled (and it was not because of sales, as they claim) and MM not. I think there was (is?) a method there. So, Archie is probably waiting for better times for Blue Bomber to come back, but they did (are doing) with Boom a thing similar to Sonic X series. They replaced X with Universe to give them a bit more creative freedom (doing a comic book on licenensed property from licenensed property have to bring some trouble). And now Boom went away and Mega Drive becomes a thing, but because of their financial trouble from begining of this year, they are taking their time. Also if you look at both Boom and MD you can see that both of them are a lighthearted, humours stories with an emphasis on character interactions. The difference is that Boom is wacky, 4th-wall-brakeing, sitcom adventure and MD is a "what if" about classic games, with strong visual design and character expresions. I just can't stop seeing parallels beetwen all of those. Do you think it all makes sense?Or am I just little numnut and it was discussed here before in this mamoth-sized thred? Also, I now the ship has kinda sailed, but I have to say how much I liked that part when Sonic got trapped in that cage and he went nuts because "Gotta go fast" and he coludn't. That was the best
  20. Well, there is a difference beetwen making dialogues and porn an optional part of a PEGI 7 game. Like, a big difference. You just can't take an example to the extreme and expect us to take it seriously. About a character telling a thing in a level, I don't need it. Maybe just for a story mode, just to showcase some elements of the enviroment, without using camera (to do that you need an automized set pice, or a straight line). But let's make a first-gameplay-only option, or better yet, give us an option to turn it on and of. An argument "If it didn't worked before just don't do it" is invalid in this case, because other developers did it, so it is possible. Just. Do. It. Well. Simple and clean. Voice acting was good in recent Sonic games, so I don't see the point of not trying it again.
  21. Okay, I understand that not everyone likes Sonic in 3D, but telling it always failed in it? That's just an exaggeration. In SA1 Sonic felt natural and nice to move with him around. SA2, the same, only better. Fast forward to Sonic Generations and yes, Sonic has much more weight to his movement while moving slowly, but it is far from something bad, or even imperfect. It's just different. And thanks to the Air dash platforming works in 3D in Gens. I don't know how will Project 2017 play, but I think that Sonic Team proved that Sonic can be made enjoyble to play in 3D. And that's the most important thing. As for characters, I don't want them to comeback SA1/2 style. I would like to see them as modificators, optional content or DLC campaings. But I want to see them in story. Also, a side note to Diogenes: No, Mario 64 didn't translete 2D Mario to 3D. Super Mario 3D Land/World did. And 64 was successful because it reinvented Mario into 3D. And because it was done well.

  24. Secret in the commercial was the fact that Mr Izuka's smile on T-shirt was getting wieder every time we saw it. As for Knuckles lyrics and "More clues"? I don't know. Maybe they'll start showcaseing Mania's characters? But then why would they start with Knux? And it doesn't add up with... those... lyrics...? *reading for the first time* WHAT ARE THOOOOSE!!? Hmm... can someone toy around with colour palet (or something) in "The last days of summer" art? Maybe there are hidden those clues...
