I feel so odd about these DP remakes. Like honestly, if it wasn’t for my love of gen 4 I wouldn’t take a second look at these. They just don’t seem to be bring anything new to the table beyond having 3D models and possibly some gameplay tweaks. Maybe I’m remembering things differently but I’m pretty sure every other remake had more going for them.
Like, they could’ve ported a straight up rom of the games and I’d feel the same way about them.
and why are they both $60? I know it’s because TPC but like, seriously

Now here's my worry with Legends. What if all that gameplay we saw simply took place in a Wild Area? Seeing a lot of talk about them being open world games atm...

-
@Rusty Spy Haven't had a chance to look.
-
@SonimanI mean has that been stated anywhere? Because it looks like a Wild Area.
Call it paranoia but real talk, unless TPC specifically mentioned open-world somewhere I'm going to remain skeptic.

A FF7R battle royale... uh huh...

Both Sony and Nintendo held back their heavy hitters, interesting.

Trailer for Pixar's Luca. The colors feel so right

Middle-aged man from 06 for Smash

Why would they go for him when Old Woman has a much more viable moveset? Plus if you dissect Sakurai's tweets, you'll see he's clearing been hinting towards Old Woman for months now.

You all realize the police captain that asks you to go find the police captain is the real power player right? 🙃

... are people allowed to be disappointed by that Direct?
Not saying I am, I go into these things expecting nothing. But like, are we still in that timeline where any criticism aimed at this company is seen as blasphemy? Just noting for future reference Lol

People have to be reminded that a certain event is affecting development
It's actually no big deal

Seriously speaking, when you're gone a whole year and you suddenly return outta knowhere, people our much more likely to take the bait in putting you on a high expectation pedestal. Plus people keep saying they'd drop bigger bombsells in a general direct than a mini direct, when the only real difference between the two is a direct is a mini direct but longer.
After what many felt was an arguably barren 2020, and the lack knowledge from the big 3 sequels, they're starved for some big stuff and just want them to break the silence before it breaks them.
-
It can't not be affecting Splat the 3rd
They just had enough time to show partial the intro

The pandemic is, of course, a big deal.
That being said, saw a lot of the same shit in 2019.

Idk when everyone else recognizes that something isn't for them they kinda just move on to what is. Obsess over "criticizing" stuff that other people can watch and accept just fine like a business analyst would, and you're gonna get side eyes, yeah. Thing is the culture is so widespread in the Nintendo community it comes as a shock that it actually exists when it's brought up, lol
Plus for me the complaints towards directs have always looked tasteless because these are people making games for years to finally announce them for this specific time frame. Games that are "HYPEEE" don't magically materialize to create the perfect lineup for a subset of fans, so calling out the pack of legitimately good games people worked hard on to create as "bad content" has always seemed incredibly short sighted.
Especially when it all amounts to a bunch of oldies complaining that the world isn't what it used to be. 😓

Huh, well then

Ohohohoho! This gorge will be your tomb!

Honestly, if that had worked, "The Tomb of Sonic the Hedgehog" would be a killer attraction at Eggmanland.

FF7R is just a matter of time now... just gotta hold off a bit longer...

Ya know, maybe the year off actually worked to Marvel's favor. I thought I'd be somewhat tired when this new stuff rolled around but both this and WandaVision has me eager to see what's next.
That or good content is good content... yeah, probably that.
Also I don't know if I said this before but WandaVision is really fucking good so far.
-
Honestly, what we've gotten so far, feels like a much better opening to Phase 4 than what Black Widow looked like it was shaping up to be.

Y’all need to stop playing with me with these PC port rumors

Sony could flat out just go a year without releasing anything new if they'd simply go back into their PS4 catalog and remove the 30fps caps for the PS5 as far as I'm concerned.
-
I mean, after RCS’s departure, I thought it was a pretty sure thing that the entire cast was getting switched out; except Mike at least.
Though don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that I support the move at all. She’s easily been one of the best VAs for Tails we’ve gotten. Hell, I thought she had even been confirmed for the second movie.
Idk... shit is a mess atm.

Well after quite a few characters VA's got swapped in Team Sonic Racing. I thought it was about that time again for Sega to start swapping out all the VA's again.
Like I'm totally fine with Blaze's new VA, it suits her character. As for Silver's tho....okay they gotta find someone else. They perfected Silver's voice in Forces, I just don't understand why they went the other way.
My only guess is that if Sega is just replacing the entire cast, Mike Pollock aside. it might be a slow change, but I'm hoping that Amy's & Tails' voices remain unchanged. Because their perfect as those characters. As for Shadow (provided they get the direction right) Kirk Thornton's fine, but really hoping Jason Griffith comes back for Shadow. He was the best Shadow IMO.

She wasn't confirmed for the second movie. They just needed a cheap VA instead of a Hollywood name for Tails' cameo.
She was the best Tails we've had. Tied with Higgins, who I couldn't really tell apart.

Well... at least they're addressing it now...

Swell, nice to know Smash Ult is still gonna be garbo unless they update it.

This premise has potential. Depending on who's writing it and how crazy they go, there's a lot of cool shit you could do.
Now do I expect Sega to allow for any of that shit to go down? Lol, but hey, this is the first bit of decent news we've gotten in a bit so I'll fucken take it.

As if we needed another nail in the "Bayo 3 is just vaporware" coffin...

If I was looking for a good Spider-Man show, what would be the top pick?
-
I’d say Spectacular and the 90’s cartoon. I don’t know if people really care about the 90’s one but I grew up watching it and thought it was great.
-
Redemption and Strickerx5 reacted to this

Spectacular Spider-Man is the one I'd recommend above all. I don't really recall enough of the 90's show to say if it holds up entirely, and the Disney shows (Ultimate and 2017) are pretty mediocre at best.
-
Strickerx5 and Redemption reacted to this
-
Spectacular is the best Spider-man show overall. The 90's one followed a lot of great comic stories, so its the second pick.
-
Strickerx5 and Redemption reacted to this
-
Basically what everyone else has said; Spectacular's easily the best of them, but the 90s series isn't a bad second choice even if it doesn't quite hold up today in some aspects.
