    Sega made such a mess of announcing Sonic Mania Plus that they've had to send out an email to specifically clarify that the Encore DLC pack is not a free update.

      They legit said something like "Those who have the game will get it as DLC, but we didn't decide the price yet.'

      And you literally had to watch the Stream closely to hear that ONE mention of it. Otherwise it was just updates and enhancements that come in the packaged version. It was confusing. Several news outlets and fans watching didn't quite get that.

      @DiamondX the FighterHe did kind of teeter off towards the end of sentence. I can understand how those who weren't paying super close attention could've easily missed it.

      It was literally a 2-3 second moment.

      They said it was a free update at first in the stream, if I'm not mistaken.

      They never said it was a free update, Austin said "content update" and "we will talk more about pricing at the later time".

      It was somewhat weird wording, but I was more confused by other people saying that it's free (almost to the point that I almost thought that it was a free update) than what they said at the panel.
