  1. I'll never get to experience Breath of the Wild for the first time again and that's depressing.

I hope BOTW2 can come close to capturing that experience.

I also pray we get a VR re-release someday in the distant future because being able to fully immerse in that world would be such a joy.

Botw2 is doomed to fail in that regard because you already experienced that world in the first game and not even a sequel can recreate it so I hope they don't try or rather try to amaze us in a different way

It wasn't just the world though, it was the mechanics of the game. Breath of the Wild is a game that has an incredible set of interconnected systems and logic. It works quite unlike any other game that I've ever played. Learning how BotW worked was amazing.

But in regards to the sequel using the same Hyrule as BotW... I think people are REALLY jumping the gun on that. It sounds like everyone is expecting to be running around the same map again, almost like ALBW compared to ALTTP. I really doubt that Nintendo would do that.

The challenging part of sequels is how do you follow up something that was considered good? You either try to recapture that same magic, or you go in a completely different direction. Both carry their own sets of risks however.

Majora's Mask is pretty different from Ocarina of Time, and it took quite a few years for people to start coming around to it.
