Finished Bowser's Fury. Took the whole thing at am incredibly leisurely pace and enjoyed every minute of it. More of this, less of Odyssey please, Nintendo. This plays much more like the sandbox, open world successor to 64 and Sunshine that I always wanted.

Bowser's Fury is way more fun than Oddysee. Of course one is a full brand new game and the other is a miniature sized game attached to a re-release of a full game so they aren't directly comparable. But I'm having way for much running around the islands of BF than I did with any other the Kingdoms of SMO.

So I got offered the coronavirus vaccine because my former employer, an individual who is totally deaf and blind, was successful in his efforts to be recognised as a priority case. I turned it down because I don't think it's fair for me to "jump the queue" when I rarely work for this guy anymore (it's been over a year). But how fucking awful is it that he had to fight so hard to be recognised?

It's worth having a read of this article about him. And if not that, then let me summarise; he is totally 100% deaf and blind. He runs a bicycle repair shop from his home, where it's just him and one support worker. The support worker is required to to sign on his hands to communicate. For almost a year, the government would not recognise him and others like him as high-risk of being affected by the pandemic.  He had to fight hard to be recognised and offered when the vaccine when it became available.
