  1. I want to play Persona 3 so badly!!! I'm like, the only person who hasn't played it! Unfortunately though, someone spoiled the ending for me, telling me that the main character dies. God, I fucking HATE it when people give me spoilers. >_

  2. Am I the only one who thinks Sonic Rivals 2 had an AWESOME soundtrack?

I actually hated Race To Win but loved the rest. I wish the circulated game rip of the soundtrack wasn't so weird and cut off at the loop (though the tracks do tend to blend into one another surprisingly nicely when listened in order this way).

I agree with Jez. Race to Win sucked, but the rest of the songs were great. My favorite is Sunset Forest Act 1 (gotta love the guitar on that one) and Blue Coast Act 3. And TBH, I think Sonic Rivals 2 had a better soundtrack than Sonic Rush.

  3. Started watching Neon Genesis Evangelion about two weeks ago. Great series so far. I'm renting the series from Netflix, so I have to wait for each new disc. I'm going to start disc 5 tonight. My favorite character is Rei. Least favorite is Asuka. As for Shinji, I didn't like him at first, but now I'm really starting to like him.
  4. It's been weeks and I STILL can't add a new avatar! Damn it! I hope SSMB gets on this problem fast.

  5. New Rayman Origins trailer = AWESOMENESS!

  6. I can't get enough of the new trailer. It's so funny, and I can't stop listening to that music! This game is looking even better and better with each new trailer. I absolutely cannot wait until November 15th. I'm going to get it for PS3, and later I'll get it for Playstation Vita too once that console comes out.
  7. Okay, I promised that the next anime I would watch was going to be Panty & Stocking, Neon Genesis Evangelion, or Totoro, but last night I ended up watching Eden of the East instead, because it sounded good, and I remembered reading on a promotional card of it that it was from the creator of Ghost in the Shell (which I saw during the time I was absent from SSMB. Very good series). I am loving this show so far. It has great animation, great characters, lots of action, and a good story too.
  8. I'm having the same problem as well. I am trying to use a 267 x 364 PNG for my new avatar, but it won't work. I hope the SSMB staff fixes this soon. And no, I don't want to use Gravatar.
  9. No. MGS1-3 do have somewhat long cutscenes, but nowhere near as long as in 4.
  10. I completely disagree with Silencer. Azumanga Daioh is hilarious! Anyway, I haven't been able to watch any anime recently. I've said many times before that the next anime I will watch will be Panty & Stocking, Neon Genesis Evangelion, or My Neighbor Totoro, but I haven't had time to watch any of them.
  11. The only Mario Party games I have are 1 and 6. They're nothing great really. Sure, 1 is kind of fun, but 6...it has some fun standard mini-games, but the mic mini-games suck and are so irresponsive. For example, I would say something clearly, and then it tells me to repeat it because I "didn't say it clearly". BULLSHIT.
  12. I have Sonic Heroes on the PS2 (I don't see why people say the PS2 version is so bad, but maybe that's because I have only played it on the PS2), and I agree. TBH, I think it's an okay game. I'd give it a 6 out of 10, but I do agree that it was the game that started the downfall of the series. Like you said, the grinding mechanics sucked, the large loops can be frustrating, the camera control is even worse than the Adventure series, the bosses weren't that fun, etc. Also, while I do like the Chaotix, I don't think they should have had them in this game, unless they made the item-searching fun and open-ended like the treasure hunting stages in SA1 and 2.
  13. Just wanted to say, I loved your topic asking why people hate Dimps so much. I totally agree, just because Sonic 4 didn't live up to people's expectations doesn't mean they should hate on Dimps entirely. I mean, they have made some great games: The Advance series, the Rush series, Sonic Colors DS, etc. But anyway, I have two questions to ask: 1. Where did you get that avatar of Sonic holding up Tails? And 2. Wasn't the Wii version of Colors also made by Dimps? (have not played...

Sorry for not replying earlier; SSMB has changed so much, and I didn't even know what "community status updates" were until I found the tab for it while trying to change my member tagline.

Glad you liked my topic, and I'm also happy to know I'm not the only person to feel that way.

      1. The picture of Sonic holding up Tails comes from the webcomic Boxer Hockey, which did a short series of strips revolving around the Sonic characters. The panel in questi...

I see the post got cut off, but anyway, thanks, I'll have to read Boxer Hockey sometime.

  14. Okay, I apologize. Psychonauts is the SECOND best platformer of our generation. Anyway, I started playing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door yesterday, and all I have to say is: THIS GAME FUCKING ROCKS! I can't believe I missed out on it all these years. Also, I see many resemblances to the Mario and Luigi trilogy, with the quirky humor and the battle system and whatnot. Will be playing more tonight.
  15. HATE THIS NEW LAYOUT. >:(

  16. I've been on a Rayman kick lately, Finished Rayman 2 on 3DS a while ago, and have been playing the original Rayman a lot lately (I used to have it on DOS, but now I have it on DSi-Ware), and going to get Rayman 3 soon (never did own it, unfortunately). Also, I can't wait for Origins!

The original game is one seriously sadistic thing. So difficult. D8

  17. I have only played the DS version, and I don't find it boring at all. I find it quite fun, and after all, it was the game that got me back into the series.
  18. Funny, I remember on SSMB that lots of people loved this game when it first came out, and whenever I would say something negative about the game, everyone would give me negative rep. It seems that if you bash SatBK, you get negative rep, but if you bash Sonic CD or the Sonic Adventure games, you get positive rep. Anyway, I hate the game for reasons already posted. Boring levels, horrible and irresponsive controls, lame story just like Secret Rings, and...yeah.
  19. I LOVED House of Mouse! Every day when I came home from school during the 3rd grade, I would watch this show, and then play my PS2 or Gamecube. Good times... I always liked how there was be a plot inbetween each cartoon. My favorite episode was the one where Pete took over the House of Mouse (the BOOM-DA-BOOM part always had me cracking up), and my favorite short was the one where Donald got a computer. If only Disney Channel/Toon Disney were still good today. The only thing worth watching on those channels nowadays is Phineas and Ferb, because unlike the other current Disney shows, that one actually has good writing and humor.
  20. I've been on a Rayman kick lately. I downloaded the original Rayman from the Nintendo eShop (I used to have it on DOS, but we sold it years ago after we got rid of our Windows 98), and have been playing it nonstop. Brings back memories. Going to get Rayman 3 soon, because I never got to own that one, sadly. I rented it, never got a chance to own it. Also, guess what game I got yesterday? I'll give you a hint. It's for Gamecube, it has the Nintendo mascot as a paper cut-out, and I've wanted to play it (and the original) for years. That's right, PAPER MARIO: THE THOUSAND-YEAR DOOR!!!!! I bought it from the pawn shop yesterday. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I will play it later today.
