  1. Typical "You don't like it cause it gotz women!" response to actual legit crticism towards this movie. Sony's ploy is unfortunately working.
  2. The game is up!

I didn't know the movie had such idiot fans.  I was under the assumption that critics and fans alike just didn't like it.

      Are you kidding me!?

      It's just a movie man.

  3. Well I don't even care about the character whatsoever, so what I said there was really misinformed. My bad. I was just dismissing the notion Thunderbolt's feelings for Eggman was ever romantic. Not like that would go over well with Sega anyway.
  4. ^True. It's worshipping, obsession and possible SS made to be believed as 'respect' by Thunderbolt.
  5. I take Thunderbolt's adoration for Eggman akin to an employee who likes to make her boss happy by doing her best at her job. Just because one's a girl, the other's a guy, and they get along well, doesn't mean they are in love. Platonic heterosexual relationships founded on respect for each other can exist after all.
  6. I like how the two headpieces on the helmet actually matches his tails.
  7. Yeah, they're basically using the massive dislike ratio both trailers have gotten to their advantage by skewering it so people will think it's purely because it's an all-female cast when that's far from the case. I heard Fox essentially did the same with Fan4stic with the whole Michael B. Jordan being cast as Johnny Storm controversy. Twisting it into a matter of racism and racism only, and look how that turned out for the film. Even people looking forward to the film has to find this shady and pathetic for Sony to do for damage control.
  8. Or just can't handle criticism and tries to blow it up as something worse than it is. I'm sorry SBR2, no offense, but this is something I have noticed about you regarding how people discuss what they don't like. I can get defensive too about my opinions on things at times, but I always try to be respectful and not make others feel bad for their different preferences. But I do not wish to take this further and make it about one member here, so, let's just try to move from this, please?
  9. Just got back from seeing Jungle Book. It was a fine film. There were some things I liked about it over the animated film (Mowgli being less of a brat, for one) but I still prefer that one to this new one.

I still like old Mowgli for basically having that fearless, survivalist spirit, and for being a brat under the circumstances (tell a child really attached to their home that they have to leave for no reason to them and what how not rational they act). I also prefer older Baloo; new one was an asshole. xP But they knocked Shere Khan and Kaa right out of the park.

I agree you have a point. Admittedly that only put me off in the 1967 film was Mowgli wasn't even aware of what was going on until Bahgeera told him. For a family that loved and cared for him since infancy, they didn't tell him about Shere Khan and why he had to go? They just expected the panther to break it to him? That always was kinda sketchy.

And yes, Mowgli's a kid, of course stubbornness can be expected in anyone else were in his position. I would not have minded too much had he been resourceful and dependable as 2016 Mowgli was. But he wasn't due to the 1967's inability to give him proper development.

Well remember, the wolves were arguing over what to do, and Bagheera just interrupted and volunteered to settle the matter. I don't think they were planning on not telling him; it just fell into place that Bagheera took over for expediency's sake.

I do admit liking Mowgli's resourcefulness in the new film, but there's a lingering question of how a feral child even learned to do that in an environment where none of the animals were smart or physically capable enough off doing that. It makes him more useful and defined as a character, but it doesn't make sense for him to act that human. So to me it's a trade off.

  10. Might as well shut down this entire forum because "fuck discussion" altogether. You know the old "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" can only go so far after all.
  11. You when you watching a bad movie:

  12. I'm getting really sick of "oh it's just a trailer guys, don't judge till it comes out!" By all accounts, a trailer, teaser or not, is supposed to include the best parts or selling points of the product. If nothing about it looks fun, interesting, or even funny, then we as viewers have the right to criticize It as well as supporters have their right to love it. And yeah, if the trailer is released very late and mere months away from release, then that only gives the impression that the publisher doesn't care or have confidence in their product.
  13. Holy shit, State Puff Marshmallow Man just creeping in on you like that through that window is rather unnerving. And sadly scarier than anything this new game and franchise will offer.
