Intersting... now what will it be: Steam or Microsoft Games for Windows? Cause since one of the original consoles for the game was an Xbox 360 one has to wonder.

I agree with this completely besides the "simpler is better". Lets not turn this to a simple go get this and defeat that kind of game. Just sayin'

If the game continues to please fans with a nice amount of nostalgic throwback levels, good story, fluid gameplay, nice twists, and nothing too over the top (some super evil final boss monster thing). Sonic Generations may most likely get a score of anything above an 81/100.

Well, if you couldn't tell by the signature already. I am Demise, Demise the Hedgehog. What I do is simple really, just write FanFiction and sometimes rant whenever I feel like it or get the chance. I can do some voice acting from the Sonic Franchise: average Sonic, pretty good Eggman, and a nice sounding Shadow. Besides Sonic characters I can do a killer Smeagol/Gollum impression that will scare the shiz out of anyone (I swear it ) My favorite 3D Sonic game is Sonic Adventure 2 and 2D is Sonic 2. That's me done, I'll talk to you later.

My favorite would be the 2nd era because it was the time I grew up with Sonic most then. Also the games were just a total blast and fantastic whenever I played them. Nice beginning mix of 3D (before the absurd experiments) and the underrated, but awesome, Advance series. As for the second, it'll be the first generation. The very first Sonic games revolutionized gaming (derp) and had aspects no other could match. Plus it was just fun and Sonic Mega Collection showed me so. I suppose this is where the 4th era would be. But I can't fully agree with that yet because most of the games aren't out nor thought of it as of now. However if I had to choose, 4th would be third on the list.

Actually yeah, my mistake. I looked back at the video to say otherwise, but noticed that there actually were rings there. The video was in terrible quality so I didn't notice they were there. That's a shame because I would've liked that (well, for a short time I would have).

I've noticed two things from watching this. 1. Lives Icon for Modern and Classic Sonic is just the Classic image (yeah, big deal right?) 2. Modern Sonic is able to homing attack rails again back from Sonic '06 3. The boost guage is filled from the platforming execuations you pull off and not just killing enemies (IE: sliding and jumping on rails)

Alright, lets get this straight people. This is Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik For Sonic Generations he shall most likely be called "Classic Eggman" while the other is called "Modern Eggman" Any questions?

Face it, SEGA can take the wrong turn and the game sour at any moment. Not like that's of any surprise though. However, don't take this the wrong way. I too am greatly looking forward to how this game will turn out overtime and am pretty proud of what I've seen so far. But that's not what this topic is about. What could SEGA do that can throw this game in another path, minor, or extreme. Here's what I thought of: - Classic Sonic's attitude isn't like what is was in the '90s - A monstrous being the final boss instead Dr. Eggman (what we all yelled "yes!" at the end of Sonic Colors) - Old Bosses without a variety in mechanics and unique twists - Modern Sonic levels being too boost happy - Mickey Mouse sounding Classic Sonic

Most popular? How about highest amount of crazed followers? (IE: Fanboys/Fangirls)

Going to throw this out there for no apparent reason. Do you feel conflicted between which model you like better now?

Bounce attack needs to come back. I'm not talking about the terrible one from '06 the Sonic Adventure 2 powerup. You see here, the bounce was very useful throughtout the level and incredibly fun to use. Good for plunging ontop of rails to gain speed, getting to certain heights, speed platforming while falling (or not), and occasionally to destroy enemies. Would really like to see that implemented back into future Sonic games, but the chances are pretty low.
