Gcat. o hussmaster u so good at this
  2. oh my god seriously ALttP says flat out that Ganon got The Triforce inside The Sacred Realm. That's why it becomes The Dark World, because his wish for power corrupts it. If he got it outside The Sacred Realm then that fucks up not just the story of OoT and ALttP, but also flat-out contradicts everything ALttP says happened.
  3. "ohooo yeeess, goku you are going to kick vagita's ass this ti-WAHT Y U DEAD" "Orders, Supreme Leader?" "NUKE THEM NUKE THEM ALL"
  4. Except it DOES involve the sages. They were the ones who sealed Ganon and The Dark World. Not to mention, ALttP's backstory says that everyone was fighting over the power because a portal suddenly appeared. This is impossible from OoT's story, where Link was the only one who could open the portal, and the second he did Gannondorf followed him in and took the Triforce of Power. There was no fight to be had, because not only was The Triforce split into Link, Zelda, and Gannondorf, but Gannondorf immediately conquered Hyrule with it. It dosen't fit. At all. ALttP cannot come directly after OoT.
  5. other than the bits where there was a third timeline they never mentioned, and it makes no sense at all due to gannondorf having WON so then how would ALttP even have happened, and everything following by extension? Well for one, there's Minish Cap coming before OoT, even though OoT has always been said to have been the first game until Skyward. There's also the point where, Four Swords Adventures was where Ganon got his trident, yet it's in a completely separate timeline than every other game he uses it in. The really main bit though is that there's a separate timeline where apparently Link not only failed, but apparently after his failure the seven sages sealed Ganon anyways. You know, despite not being awakened as sages, and very heavily hinted at being dead until they were awoken, and even then they're spirits. Also, the part where the very second Zelda revealed herself, Gannondorf was able to capture her. Kinda makes it hard to have all seven sages do the sealing bit, if they're all dead or captured. If they'd taken out the third timeline, and placed it after Four Swords Adventures, that would have made a lot more sense than it does currently. Even the sages part would fit decently (even though they're called maidens, there's still seven and they do the same job.) I honestly flat out refuse to believe that this was their timeline all along, because it's such a logical mess. Nintendo dosen't give legitimate effort into things and have them come out this shitty. They either didn't have a timeline ever, or they had one that was horribly barebones that they quickly slapped the games onto.
  6. nintendo seriously you didn't even have a timeline did you, you just threw shit together based off fan timelines and did some other weird bullshit this is like someone from ancient egypt or some shit coming to the future and going "yeah you know all this shit that points to 1+1=2 that we left everywhere? that's all fake 1+1 actually = 8." it makes no goddamned sense, and we've been doing it better without you so why would you bother
  7. And lo, the moment an official position on this damn thing shows up, everything gets even more confusing. Except Link hadn't failed. His quest was still there, still needed to be done. Zelda may subscribe to "every action" but it also subscribes to fate and destiny and the like. Link would have ALWAYS been suspended for seven years, Gannondorf would have ALWAYS taken Hyrule Castle, it all would have happened in that way. The games are pretty fuckin' clear on that point. So if Link fails by going about the exact steps he has to take, then how much sense does that actually make? Besides, for Link to be altering the past (in the future timeline), he'd have needed more time travel. He's altering the present. He didn't travel through time, he just waited a very long time. He travels back to the past, but the seven-years part is no sort of time travel at all. He wouldn't age otherwise.
  8. Been trying to speedrun Seaside Hill. I never noticed, but apparently if you skip the first set of three rainbow rings, and take the lower path, the middle rail in the set of three seems to be faster? At least, it was faster than taking the rainbow rings, which is what I've been doing. also jesus shit endless boost is really fucking useful if you're doing a skills run
  9. Except this Dante makes no noise at all. Not even grunts or yells when he's attacking. That either means they don't have his lines put into the game fully yet, only where they need to show some story in trailers, or they went a really weird route because essentially every game has at least some type of sound coming from the characters.
  10. okay so what part of this game shows that they're not the same dante like I said, he's said about three lines. For all we know he could be just as wildly retarded.
  11. That's even odder, because he obviously dosen't have the brain power to understand when things are blatantly false.
  12. And I thought Christmas was gonna be boring! This is the best goddamn present you could have given me, world. Thank you. I'll be content in the knowledge that North Korea will more than likely not pick itself back up from this, after Il's massive spree of making himself out to be god, I doubt the country will react very well to his death. It may take some more time, but this is easily the first sudden slope NK is gonna take until it smashes against the bottom. There's no going up from here.
  13. I did one really particularly good run, around 2:01, even after fucking up a few times. Even on that I didn't get the fucking light-dash, and just air-boosted my way onto one of those barrel-lookin' platforms near the same bit and hopped onto the track from there.
  14. just another year in the fabulous life of ssmb's favorite poster after pelly and flyboy~ Ton of good games came out, got a 3DS, became acquainted with Cee Lo Green's music properly, holy fuck nintendo gave me 20 free games all of which are fucking great, Cowboys and Aliens was fucking amazing and the best western ever, and I dunno man year just seemed p. okay otherwise. although, my grandma got hurt really bad so I had to go out and help her get adjusted to needing a walker. Even then, I really like being with my grandma, and she's the one who bought me the 3DS, and she even taught me how to cook a few (awesome) things so even that just was a really good time. I dunno man it was a pretty good year for me personally.
  15. yes, because when games become stale they no longer continue to be good! that makes so much sense right. Mario games get good reviews because they're generally non-offensive. Mario games never do anything bad, but recently they haven't been doing much good either. Galaxy 2 was the exception. They get high scores because 1) giving a mario game a low score results in an eruption of people calling you an asshole, and 2) because they're not bad. and still it's mostly the first one
  16. CHEMICAL PLANT NNNNGGGHHHH I'm trying to take the left path, the one that leads to the mid-air light dash? For some reason half the time Sonic refuses to light-dash and just falls to his death. this is the only thing keeping me from making a really good run
    1. Your Vest Friend

      Your Vest Friend

So that means they've managed to get the fox and the grain on one side together?

    4. Solkia

      ^No. That's why it has a timer.

  17. Did a 1:30ish run of City Escape. Hit in the low 60s on the leaderboards. I actually majorly fucked up some bits, I'll do another run and see how that goes. EDIT: herpaderpa how did i mix city escape's ranking with chemical plant's times
  18. Yeah the constantly changing art style for each game is one of the best parts of Zelda games. I'd be really sad if they just went off and did just one style.
  19. Alright so I really want to write up a review of Sonic Generations, yet I am not entirely sure where to put it. Would that get it's own topic or the already existing review topic? I ask because the review topic seems to be more for professional reviews and published stuff.

    1. sonfan1984

You can post it on the review topic. It can be for 'professional' reviews or just reviews for anyone who write reviews for free

    2. Jix Hedgehog
    3. Crow the BOOLET

      Crow the BOOLET

You could probably do one in Sonic Showcase's misc. works, I've seen some people done that before. But I'm not sure on that. :P

  20. jesus fucking christ man you did do that on the leaderboards right?
  21. Green Hill Act 1 time: 48 seconds. fuck. yes.

  22. Alright, so then how do you propose that Tails or Knuckles, who can in fact roll, would be unable to go through it? Yeah, see, you're sort of not listening to that bit. I'm not talking about an attack move or something like that, but something that gives Sonic his own routes designed around him. I mean your argument is "the roll can do it" and yet I have like said repeatedly that there are things the roll can't do and then you sort of skip over and ignore that bit. I can understand if you don't like it, but arguing about how it wouldn't be a useful move for sonic only paths without giving any other ideas and just sort of yelling about how you don't like it so hard just sort of makes it look like you have no idea what is being said.
  23. Completely wrong. SA2 was the only game that came with the idea that Sonic's spin is somehow small enough to fit through certain areas, and it made no sense because what the somersault fit through was smaller than Sonic even all curled up. Every area where Sonic has been forced into a ball is only JUST A LITTLE BIT smaller than him, and it's main purpose isn't for opening up Sonic Only paths, it's for gaining speed. Sonic's spin has always been for gaining speed and nothing more. Generations tries to use it as a slide-like move but only a few times and once again it's only to gain speed. Sonic's spin form is actually really fucking big in comparison to him just standing up. It's literally just a couple of inches shorter than him. In comparison to how Sonic loses at LEAST half his height when sliding then it's pretty clear that it's already a better move for going under small gaps. In fact look at some sprites. Sonic, his Spin form, and another sprite that looks similar to the slide (but is not the slide itself, so the height is not accurate for that, it's just an example.) Sonic's spin is only JUST smaller than him. If it was made to squeeze into small areas then it would be much smaller. The slide-comparison however is already smaller than the roll and it's not even a slide, which would drop him completely to the ground. It's not redundant. It's practical, all it does is get in the way of the mostly fan idea that a spin was made to fit through gaps when it wasn't.
