  1. Erm... No I doubt you can just do that... I was just surprised that you so casually said "Oh yeah they come in for lunch" and nobody had asked yet.
  2. So I'm just doing a new video which is a VERY in-depth analysis of the game, and I was looking for some stock footage and came across the E3 trailer again... Can we just talk about how terrible the marketing for this game was early on. I mean... This was the e3 2018 trailer! They don't show... ANY of the team play mechanics, absolutely none. that's tons of gameplay and opportunities to show off why this game was different to all the other racers out there and none of it is shown. Only 1 weapon is shown in action and it misses the target. They only show one mid air trick, and they actually cut the footage to a new racer so the effect is lost. No drifting ingame is shown which results in a speed boost. The Team Ultimate move isn't shown in game, only via a cg sequence. And this was the main trailer that they showed for months. It's not bloody wonder people thought this game looked dull when the marketing was this bad for months before they had SXSW and finally started to show it off properly.
  3. If you haven't beaten the stage yet. The game already progresses back to the map. But if you have beaten the stage. Even if you get new stars or keys you need to quit to the map after the race in order for the keys and stars to unlock.
  4. So this happened to me when playing TSR last night....

  5. Behold... Big the Bat. I freaking love it when stuff like this happens online!

So... I noticed something cool about the track "Boo's House" in TSR....

  7. So I'm writing up a more detailed analysis of Team Sonic Racing... and when looking at the tracks I noticed something about Boo's house which makes me like the track even more. Basically, the track mirrors a classic horror movie set in Egypt. Click to see the full explanation but here is the abridged version. In Boo's house, the racers start outside the pyramid, they break in and one thinks they see a ghost (First racer always see's Boo, then Boo hides behind a pillar). The team explore the entrance one discovers a tunnel to another chamber. The team enter it. There is no way back the way they came, the route constantly descends further down, deeper into the pyramid. On the way evil spirits try to stop them (ghost hallway). King Boom Boo also tries to stop them (he occasionally pops up and mocks you). Eventually the team make it to the final chamber, face King Boom Boo... Open a portal and return to the surface.
  8. I think at the time, graphically the Xbox 360 version was by far the superior title. Graphically at least. PS3 version was missing a lot of particle effects and was prone to hard crashing online.
  9. I just bumped a 10 year old topic and I don't even feel bad!

      @tailsBOOM! GHOSTBUSTERS! The game.

  10. TEN YEAR BUMP!!! Remaster is coming to PS4!!! Looks like it might be a PS4 exclusive at the moment. Edit: Also confirmed for Switch & Xbox: https://nintendoeverything.com/ghostbusters-the-video-game-remastered-announced-for-switch/ It's also coming to PC... Epic Game Store exclusive... Oh snap.
  11. The 2009 Ghostbusters game is being remastered! YES!

  12. For those who are still having trouble with the side missions. I did most of them in this stream. Time stamps are as follows. Destruction Stage 5-10 7:23 (Here I show a way to absolutely cheese the stage, pretty much a guaranteed platinum medal. Ring Challenge Stage 1-6 10:00 (Here I explain the 'snaking' drift method which makes ring challenges much easier, as well as air drift moves to get more rings + time. Ring Challenge Stage 2-6 15:20 (I explain in a lot of details how to beat this stage, and show you can beat it even if you make A LOT of mistakes.) Ring Challenge Stage 2-2 19:18 (This one takes me a few attempts, I explain in a few laps how to do it including how to drift between rings to pick up double the amount, you can see my route never changes, it's just a case of practice) Ring Challenge Stage 3-3 32:00 (Quite a difficult one, follow my route, and take my advice in the later attempts about not pulling air tricks.) Ring Challenge Stage 5-8 43:57 (Takes a few attempts, all about mastering the drifts on this one). Ring Challenge Stage 7-9 58:00 (Quite hard, took me a good few attempts, the route is easy, but you have to be quite accurate in the pyramid at the start). Daredevil Stage 1-5 1:13:30 (It's quite easy if you strictly follow the route I take). Daredevil Stage 3-4 1:20:30 (There are 4 possible routes you can take, the route I take is the easiest, but it will take you a few attempts to get the red then yellow zones right.) Daredevil Stage 4-8 1:35:15 (It's actually not that hard, there is one section which is tricky due to a hidden dash pad right by the checkpoint, do it on my first attempt.) Daredevil Stage 5-3 1:41:00 (This is the easiest daredevil stage, you can completely lose your multiplier near the end and you'll still do it. But you MUST hit the red checkpoint before the balloon bounce. Otherwise you'll lose your multiplier, I do this one twice just to show how easy it is.) Daredevil Stage 6-9 1:46:20 (The hardest Daredevil mission in the game, takes me a VERY long time to beat it. The route barely changes so skip to the last 3 runs and you can see which route I take and how I eventually do it.) Hope some of you find this useful
  13. Streaming Team Sonic Racing.

Going through the side missions. Come along and watch... or laugh.

  14. So I'm probably going to do a follow up review/analysis of this game.. I still really like it, but it does have a lot of issues which do harm the game in the long run, most of the stuff are little things which just so happen to be very annoying, e.g. no music selection, whilst this isn't much of an issue in normal races... Dear lord it's horrible in time trial mode, or the side missions... the same song... over and over... and over. Not to mention the multiplayer waiting... some of which wouldn't be too bad if there was more feedback to the end user. I can't decide if this is poor design or a consequence of the lower budget that was offered for this title. There's a bunch of other issues as well, it doesn't harm the gameplay, but it impacts the overall experience. Also tonight at around 7pm GMT( around 1 hour 30min from now). I'm going to be streaming a bit of a masterclass to beat the side missions in this game. Noticed lots of people having problems but there's a few really good tricks you can do to almost guarantee beating them. Going to show a bunch of tips and tricks for some of the stages that means you can pass them first try without any problems (no not just the eggpawn assault trick). I'll be doing it via YouTube so if you think you might find some use from this, be sure to subscribe/bell and tune in. I'm also likely to mess it up a few times so yeah there is that as well. In one of the stages for destruction there's an amazing exploit to beat that on the first try and I'll be showing some of the routes and tactics I use for the drifting challenges and ring capture challenges.

      I'm blind.

  18. It's... actually not. Not strictly. If you look in the background you'll see the Emerald Hill Zone. Edit: In case you were wondering, there is nothing playable in this pitch.
  19. This guy runs a popular YouTube account which specialises in uncovering and archiving cancelled games and footage from scrapped builds of release games. He claims that there are a few other images from this pitch. Who are Climax? I guess it's Climax studios, they were responsible for Silent Hill Shattered Memories and typically seem to make games based on other peoples licenses and IP's.
  20. Oh I'm still going to be a member here and joining in with the discussions, just that all the energy I put into my articles will be going to other avenues. *Looks left* Ohhhh I'm a red now.
  21. Yup... It's true...

    I'm leaving TSS.

      Crow the BOOLET

Wow. This is a bit of a shock but it really feels like the turn of an era in a way. But hey I'm sure you'll do fine out there. I am a bit lost for words at the moment though, especially since you've been one of TSS' regulars and big names. All I can say is I wish you the best in your endeavors.

  22. Might as well make this public now. I was gonna post this in announcements but didn't want to be cheeky... So I joined TSS in March 2012 and have written nearly 600 articles for the site, both news and original material, which is quite a lot. And.... Shortly into March this year, I made the decision that I would step down from my position as writer for the site. I figured given how long I've been effectively one of the main faces who brings you the Sonic news I should post a bit of a goodbye and why I'm putting down my keyboard to pick up a... uh... Keyboard! Why are you going? Some of you know that last year my health took a major nose dive which hasn't gotten much better this year. So does this have anything to do with that? Yes... But not in the way you think. Since I started having the health issues, I've tried to do some productive stuff to help me through it, first I made myself a small place on the internets which I really need to get back to doing at some point. But I then started to take my video making a bit more seriously, something which I'd wanted to do for a long time anyway but never really had a the time and the response has been quite incredible, far beyond anything I could have imagined and I'd really liked to dedicate a lot more time to it, especially since it lets me talk about games outside of Sonic and Sega which is also something I've wanted to do for a long time. And aside from releasing these completed projects, the process of making them is also making me a lot happier, far more than when I was just writing for TSS. So I feel it's the best for my health and... just the fact I'm doing something that a lot of others are also really enjoying if I focus on that full time. When are you turning red (Retired Rank)? NEVER! THERE'S ONLY SVEND TO GO AND THEN THE SITE IS MINE! MINE! MINE! AH-Hahahha! Well... Technically I'm already gone, I can't write for the site anymore, but I still have access to the staff area and something is being worked on which I've been dropping the odd input in so I imagine I'll wake up one day and find myself in the retirement castle with Flyboy Fox and all the other retired staff, I'll be sat in the corner working on videos, please visit and leave a muffin.. One with chocolate chips. But I've said I'll occasionally drop by for the odd guest article or help with a live-stream if they need a hand with something. Anything else? Not really, just like to thank all the wonderful people and friends I've met through my time writing on here, especially @Dreadknux for allowing me to write for so long without breaking anything (I'm still waiting for the money to fund my real life Death Egg). So I'm off to YouTube now to make videos, so feel free to subscribe to me there or follow me on twitter if you still enjoy telling me my opinion on Sonic is wrong! I'll still be a member here posting about the Sonikku and the Segagaga, but my new creative outlet where I make new content will be on YouTube and Twitter. So if you desperately miss my stuff or want to tell me it's 'wrong' I invite you to come along! Who is replacing you? Can they make nice sandwiches? I've not been involved in that conversation, but I think I know who my replacement is going to be and I hope you wish them all the very best. But I'll let them reveal that surprise in their own topic. Only I hope the reveal is something like this... But with my avatar on the hood, then when they lift it off it's their avatar. P.S. If you've made it this far, the moral of the story is @Dreadknux still hasn't funded my Death Egg!
  23. So if you're having problems with the Eggpawn Assault missions... This trick works on every single Eggpawn Assault stage. Completely removes all the difficulty from the stage.
  24. I wish my Patreon got $111 per month! That's actually not too bad assuming all the payments go through at the end of the month.
