I know this is my own tweet but...

This is the biggest issue for me.
EVERYTHING in this trailer, could be taken out, put into it's own movie and be an original item. Everything is so generic it feels like it was reject scraps from another movie or franchise.
Nothing about this movie says 'This is my identity'.
    There was one exception.
The post credit sequence they used in the trailer, that was the most interesting part of the trailer when they showed mushroom Hill and they still messed up how it should look.
It's so generic that I can't think of much else to say on it.
I'm at a loss at why some people here think it has it's own identity because everything looked like it came from a catalogue of generic action movie.

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from MainJP in Does Sonic still have his powers and skills from the past
This is why everybody needs to subscribe and click the bell on my YouTube channel =p

    But to address the topic.
It's not just powers and skills, there's also some personality traits, like apparently Sonic is a keen reader, whilst we rarely see this in the games, in the wider official media we certainly do see it.
What I think happens is that... As time passes by, some people at Sega who don't directly work on the games, know and have seen that certain characters have certain powers and abilities as well as traits, they still believe these are active today, so when they get quizzed on 'how should Sonic be' they say "Well there's this... this and a this..." not knowing it's been retconned or just no longer used.
Would explain a lot of the dialogue that the statue at Tokyo Joypolis says.

Well I once asked Tim Spencer this in a bar once.
"So I imagine this happens a lot when people make a game, the developers are told 'OK, we are making a game, it is going to be like this, it will do this, and it will do this. Everybody please work on this.'
In the corner, sat perfectly still, is a clown, and the leader of the project says 'everybody, ignore the clown, do not do anything that the clown tells you'
For months, the team works on the game, they get it working really well... then all of a sudden the clown yells
"COMBAT MECHANICS! PLATFORM MECHANICS! BONUS FEATURES!"
Everybody stops what they're doing and does what the clown says.
The game is released and the project leader says... I thought I told you people to ignore the clown?"

He looked at me and said.

"You're wrong, there are multiple clowns"

So... I wasn't going to post my vid here but I accidentally improved the board image and you can clearly see the enitre board!
I too struggled to see the entire board. For some reason zooming in via a web browser or even image tools blurs the image and its hard to make out even the bottom of the board...
However... for some reason. After I rendered the vid, the sections where I zoom in is by using the pan tool on my video editor, and after rendering I realised thid had not reduced the image quality!
So you can now clearly make out all the zones and even the boss cards!

I'm a third year computer science student who has studied 2D graphics and 3D graphics.
I have no clue what the term 'lazy graphics' means.
Edit: I just googled it... nobody has ever used it, even google scholar is stumped.

The following are PS1 games of the same genre within a similar environment.

They look like a PS1 game in that they are set in a green stage.

    Is that what you meant?

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from Badnik Zero in Sonic: The Shadow World | The 2005 Undeveloped Pitch
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkenRXh1odg

So the guy who reveled a screen from the cancelled PSP game Sonic Origins has revealed details surrounding another cancelled Sonic PSP title called Sonic: The Shadow World.
The game never made it past pitch state. But from what we get from the pitch is that the game was pitched by Climax and described the game as being the polar opposite to what is normally found in a Sonic game.
The plot is that Sonic becomes trapped in the Shadow World (which is home to Sonic' nemesis Shadow (yes THAT Shadow)) and must escape.
Instead of lush green tropical lands, lava and dead trees would surround the player. Sonic would battle creatures not badniks.
    Multiple modes planned.
    Shadow & Sonic playable.

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from lbyrd2 in So we found the Sega World London Globe Statue!
Just over a week ago I uploaded a video about the history of Sega World London, (see here)
It contained a bunch of new information about the park including some newly discovered old footage from inside and even some of the advertisements for the park in some of the underground tube stations.
The video has been passed around quite a lot and it's triggered a few people to come out and share some new information including one amazingly cool find..
There has always been a question as to what happened to the giant Sonic statues that were scattered around the park, one of them is now with Sega Amusements and has since been repainted. But the others have always been a bit of a mystery.
Well... the most iconic of the statues, the one with Sonic balancing a globe on his finger has been found!
I don't have permission to say who the owners are, but apparently it's been with this company since the park closed and the statue was removed, just sitting in an office back room all this time. Obviously Sonic is currently doing his paperwork of playing a very good game of hide and seek which is why there's not a better image.
But that's another statue off the list! The Sega World London Globe statue has been found and is living a happy life doing paperwork!
