So I wish people were talking more about this.

Several summons are gated behind a £80 collectors edition, and another is gated behind a £300 collectors edition.
Yeah summons are pre-order and collectors edition bonuses.

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from Eurisko in Team Sonic Racing - Upcoming Sonic Racing Game
    So I've been.... very busy...
I created an hour long analysis of the game. I decided to take a really deep look at this game because on the one hand I think it's a really great game with some amazing design choices, then on the other there's choices which leave me baffled.
I cover the team based mechanics, why they work and why they work really well both in terms of execution and how they're communicated and explained to the player without the need for text based explanations.
I talk a lot about the tracks, I think I've figured out why some tracks seem really dull compared to others, when I discuss Sky Road I talk a lot about how that game just seems to lack any movement or life in the stage, on the other hand there is the incredible Boo's House which is just a masterclass in making a track, it's got tons of life, has a narrative running through it and is one of the few tracks in this game which doesn't feel like a raceway.

That's a big problem I think this game has compared to the others, almost every track in this game feels like a race course was built in a zone. Opposed to ASRT which had courses that felt like the racers were the intruders, or racing around an event that wasn't a race.
There's quite a lot I go over, I know I sound a bit negative on the game but... The core aspect of TSR is really really good.
And I don't think that the game on the whole is a victim of poor design, because there's so much in it which is designed VERY well, such as how the team play is communicated non verbally and how Boo's House has an amazing hidden story running through it. They clearly had the talent to do some very special things here, but it feels like either their scope was limited or they had a very limited budget to do what they did with ASRT.
I bring up the big legacy problem that TSR currently has, that being, even if you add another 15 characters to the game, who cares? Part of the excitement for new DLC in ASRT was finding out the All Star move of a new character, in TSR everyone shares the same ultimate, it's like if you added a new character to a fighting game and they shared the same finisher... Why would you care as much?

This guy runs a popular YouTube account which specialises in uncovering and archiving cancelled games and footage from scrapped builds of release games.
He claims that there are a few other images from this pitch.
Who are Climax? I guess it's Climax studios, they were responsible for Silent Hill Shattered Memories and typically seem to make games based on other peoples licenses and IP's.

If you haven't beaten the stage yet. The game already progresses back to the map.
But if you have beaten the stage. Even if you get new stars or keys you need to quit to the map after the race in order for the keys and stars to unlock.

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from Alex2Beta in I'm Stepping Down From Writing At TSS!
Might as well make this public now. I was gonna post this in announcements but didn't want to be cheeky...
So I joined TSS in March 2012 and have written nearly 600 articles for the site, both news and original material, which is quite a lot. And.... Shortly into March this year, I made the decision that I would step down from my position as writer for the site.
I figured given how long I've been effectively one of the main faces who brings you the Sonic news I should post a bit of a goodbye and why I'm putting down my keyboard to pick up a... uh... Keyboard!
    Why are you going?
Some of you know that last year my health took a major nose dive which hasn't gotten much better this year. So does this have anything to do with that?
Yes... But not in the way you think. Since I started having the health issues, I've tried to do some productive stuff to help me through it, first I made myself a small place on the internets which I really need to get back to doing at some point.
But I then started to take my video making a bit more seriously, something which I'd wanted to do for a long time anyway but never really had a the time and the response has been quite incredible, far beyond anything I could have imagined and I'd really liked to dedicate a lot more time to it, especially since it lets me talk about games outside of Sonic and Sega which is also something I've wanted to do for a long time.
And aside from releasing these completed projects, the process of making them is also making me a lot happier, far more than when I was just writing for TSS. So I feel it's the best for my health and... just the fact I'm doing something that a lot of others are also really enjoying if I focus on that full time.
When are you turning red (Retired Rank)?

NEVER! THERE'S ONLY SVEND TO GO AND THEN THE SITE IS MINE! MINE! MINE! AH-Hahahha!

Well... Technically I'm already gone, I can't write for the site anymore, but I still have access to the staff area and something is being worked on which I've been dropping the odd input in so I imagine I'll wake up one day and find myself in the retirement castle with Flyboy Fox and all the other retired staff, I'll be sat in the corner working on videos, please visit and leave a muffin.. One with chocolate chips.
But I've said I'll occasionally drop by for the odd guest article or help with a live-stream if they need a hand with something.
    Anything else?
Not really, just like to thank all the wonderful people and friends I've met through my time writing on here, especially @Dreadknux for allowing me to write for so long without breaking anything (I'm still waiting for the money to fund my real life Death Egg).

So I'm off to YouTube now to make videos, so feel free to subscribe to me there or follow me on twitter if you still enjoy telling me my opinion on Sonic is wrong! I'll still be a member here posting about the Sonikku and the Segagaga, but my new creative outlet where I make new content will be on YouTube and Twitter.
So if you desperately miss my stuff or want to tell me it's 'wrong' I invite you to come along!

Who is replacing you? Can they make nice sandwiches?
I've not been involved in that conversation, but I think I know who my replacement is going to be and I hope you wish them all the very best. But I'll let them reveal that surprise in their own topic.
Only I hope the reveal is something like this...

But with my avatar on the hood, then when they lift it off it's their avatar.
    P.S.
If you've made it this far, the moral of the story is @Dreadknux still hasn't funded my Death Egg!

For those who are still having trouble with the side missions.

I did most of them in this stream. Time stamps are as follows.
Destruction Stage 5-10 7:23 (Here I show a way to absolutely cheese the stage, pretty much a guaranteed platinum medal.
Ring Challenge Stage 1-6 10:00 (Here I explain the 'snaking' drift method which makes ring challenges much easier, as well as air drift moves to get more rings + time.
Ring Challenge Stage 2-6 15:20 (I explain in a lot of details how to beat this stage, and show you can beat it even if you make A LOT of mistakes.)
Ring Challenge Stage 2-2 19:18 (This one takes me a few attempts, I explain in a few laps how to do it including how to drift between rings to pick up double the amount, you can see my route never changes, it's just a case of practice)
Ring Challenge Stage 3-3 32:00 (Quite a difficult one, follow my route, and take my advice in the later attempts about not pulling air tricks.)
Ring Challenge Stage 5-8 43:57 (Takes a few attempts, all about mastering the drifts on this one).
Ring Challenge Stage 7-9 58:00 (Quite hard, took me a good few attempts, the route is easy, but you have to be quite accurate in the pyramid at the start).

Daredevil Stage 1-5 1:13:30 (It's quite easy if you strictly follow the route I take).
Daredevil Stage 3-4 1:20:30 (There are 4 possible routes you can take, the route I take is the easiest, but it will take you a few attempts to get the red then yellow zones right.)
Daredevil Stage 4-8 1:35:15 (It's actually not that hard, there is one section which is tricky due to a hidden dash pad right by the checkpoint, do it on my first attempt.)
Daredevil Stage 5-3 1:41:00 (This is the easiest daredevil stage, you can completely lose your multiplier near the end and you'll still do it. But you MUST hit the red checkpoint before the balloon bounce. Otherwise you'll lose your multiplier, I do this one twice just to show how easy it is.)
Daredevil Stage 6-9 1:46:20 (The hardest Daredevil mission in the game, takes me a VERY long time to beat it. The route barely changes so skip to the last 3 runs and you can see which route I take and how I eventually do it.)

Hope some of you find this useful

So if you desperately miss my stuff or want to tell me it's 'wrong' I invite you to come along!

Who is replacing you? Can they make nice sandwiches?
I've not been involved in that conversation, but I think I know who my replacement is going to be and I hope you wish them all the very best. But I'll let them reveal that surprise in their own topic.
Only I hope the reveal is something like this...

But with my avatar on the hood, then when they lift it off it's their avatar.
    P.S.
If you've made it this far, the moral of the story is @Dreadknux still hasn't funded my Death Egg!

Who are Climax? I guess it's Climax studios, they were responsible for Silent Hill Shattered Memories and typically seem to make games based on other peoples licenses and IP's.

Badnik Mechanic got a reaction from Eurisko in I'm Stepping Down From Writing At TSS!

Thank you and good luck! It has most certainly been fun while you were writing, especially with your "The Spin" articles that always had a new perspective on a topic! I wish you well making your videos, and hope for a pleasant success in it.
